Sakshi: Anand Srivastav...naam toh sunaa hi hoga, na?
Yes that name did ring a bell somewhere...he knew him...his thought process drifted back by a few years...
Arjun spoke up the next instant but a little hesitantly..."you mean Dr Anand Shrivastav, jinnone suicide kiya tha?"
Sakshi turned to him and looked at him intently, "woh suicide nahi tha...it was a cold blooded murder...they killed him!"
Her words killed her once more...once more, everything came right before her...almost killing her deeply time and again...
It pricked him too...somewhere deep in his heart...he could feel her pain, her agony and her horrid memories...

Arjun knew all about Dr Anand Shrivastav or ateast the details that had come out at that time...It was a sensational case for a brief time after which everything was put under wraps but he was totally surprised that Sakshi was his daughter because nothing about her not even her name came up or she never came into light at that time!
She gathered herself up and looked at him..."He was innocent...he was framed! Unne maar kar, ek suicide ka label deh kar unnke uphar saara ilzaam dhal diya!"
Arjun silently listened to her...he could sense the truth in every word she said...
She went towards the window and looked at the jarring traffic at a distance...Her mind went a few years back...
Taking a deep breath, she started off..."Defence lab mein sabse top level pe teh mere papa...he was quite passionate about his work...humaare desh keliye...usske security keliye kuch karna unnka sapna tha...unnke ek totally dedicated team bhi thi...the best lot of scientists!...uss team aur unnke details sab kuch confidential tha...itna confidential ke unnke baare mein ya unnke families ke baare mein kisi ko kuch nahi patha tha...papa ke job ke wajeh se hi main bohat choti umar se hi boarding aur hostel mein thi...maa Delhi mein ek school mein teacher thi...wahi mere nana nani ke ghar mein rehthi thi...bas vacations pe aur woh bhi saal mein ek baar secret holiday pe hum teenon milthe teh...Sab papa plan karthe teh...aur main aur mamma bas unnke plans follow karthe teh...pehle toh mujhe bohat ghussa aatha tha parr dheere dheere mujhe patha chal gaya ke mere papa yeh sab mere aur mamma ke security keliye hi kar rahe hai...He didn't want anybody to target us...main college mein thi jab unnke ek project ka crucial daud chal raha tha...aur almost dho saal tak main papa se mili nahi...phir maine college aur yeh shehar choda...[She looked at him...He understood that he and Roshni were the reason for that...She turned away and continued] mamma ke paas chali gayi...main sab kuch bhool ke ek naye life ke shuruwaat apne career aur ambitions ke orr khatam rakhne waali thi...phir ek din achaanak papa ka call aaya...I was so happy but also tensed...it was quite abnormal of him...woh bohat tensed lag rahe teh...aur pehli baar unnone mujhe wahaan aane ko kaha tha...He wished to see me...par sirf mujhe...he asked me not to tell anything to mamma...maine maa se pehli baar jhoot kaha...bahaana banaaya aur chali gayi papa ke paas unnse milne...wahaan jaathe waqt mujhe nahi patha tha ke woh unnke aakhri call...[tears rolled out ceasing her words...her voice cracked up and he could sense that she was crying...He gave her time and didn't speak up anything]
She continued, "Papa ne kaha ke unnke life khatre mein hai...kuch files diya jo unnke project ke baare mein tha...unnke team mein koyi tha jo uss project details leak out kar raha tha...aur humaare desh ke security ke liye khatra bann raha tha...papa ne uss insaan ko ranghe haat pakadh liya tha...parr unne nahi patha tha ke usske peeche bohat bade bade naam hai...
Woh log milkar papa ko dhamki dhi ke iss baat ko chodh deh warna unn keliye teek nahi hoga...but papa nahi maane...papa ne saare evidences mujhe saumpa aur mujhse vaadha liya ke main unn sab ka kaala chehra saamne laavungi...He asked me to leave from there as soon as possible aur vaadha liya ke kuch bhi ho jaaye, main yeh sab prove kiye beghair duniya ke saamne nahi aavungi...I didn't want to leave him all alone but he didn't allow me to stay there...
Flash back:
Papa: Sakshi...kuch paane keliye kuch kona bhi padtha hai...tum mujhe kho sakthi ho parr iss mission ko nahi...you have to win it for me beta! Promise me that!
Sakshi gives her hand in his to promise that and then speaks up...
Sakshi hesitantly but determined in her words, "haan papa main zaroor yeh sacchaayi baahar laavungi...parr iss keliye aap ko kyun kho doom...come with me...we will fight together!"
Papa: nahi sakshi...woh log mujhe kisi na kisi tarah dhoond nikhaalenge...aur mere saaath inn saare saboot ko bhi mitaa denge...tumaare saath aakhar main tumaare aur inn evidences keliye khatra nahi bann saktha...tum jaldi jaao yahaan se aur woh sab karo jo main chahtha hoom...iss desh keliye, mere liye ladho beta...[taking his hands in his and remembering his wife] aur haan tumaare maa ka kayaal rakhna...usse kehna ke main usse bohat pyar kartha tha...aur humesha kartha rehunga...usse humesha mujhse dhoor rakha kyun ki...[he didn't complete his words as they hear people rushing into their house...her dad pushed her to the back door and asked her to get away from there!...his last words as he closed the door remained in her ears] Andhar kuch bhi ho jaaye tum nahi aavogi...And remember you have to win this and fulfil the promise! Yeh promise kabhi thodna matth...mere liye, humaare desh keilye tumhe ladhna hi hoga Sakshi!
Sakshi almost fell out of the house by his strong push but she saw what had happened inside through the slight parting of the door...
Her papa was tortured for getting the evidences from him but then he refused to say anything...finally one among them shot on his temple in a fit of fury!
Sakshi wanted to rush in to save her dad but she couldn't...she couldn't even cry out loud seeing her dad die right in front of her...She shut her mouth tightly and cried out silently..
Her heart screamed loudly "PAPAA..."
Her head and mind revolving and the whole world crashed down right before her...she felt the ground swept away from right under her feet! But she couldn't do anything...She stood helpless clutching onto the files her papa had entrusted with her and her mind clinging on to his last wish!
Only one thing echoed in her...her papa's last words to her...she had to fulfil the promise to her dad...At any cost, she had to win!
Arjun took a deep breath trying to take in the horrible experience that the bubbly girl had gone through...He couldn't believe that she had so much beneath that chirpy face of hers and realized that the ever smiling face was only a means to hide this painful past!
He couldn't help admiring and respecting her more now...Her will power and strength amazed him!
Sakshi continued wiping her tears which had started flowing out nonstop ever since she remembered that day's experience, "desh keliye unn keliye mujhe harr haal mein ladhna hai aur jeethna hai...unnko diya hua vaadha nibaana hai Arjun! Unne behguna saabhit karna hai...I cant let his sacrifice go waste Arjun! I have to fight...I have to win..[she took time to calm herself down and then added]
I remained hidden for months...i changed names, i changed my locations...Those people had somehow sniffed out papa's details but they weren't able to reach me and mamma..."

Now the case was getting clearer to Arjun...The real culprits who betrayed and leaked the security information had framed her dad and the whole case was projected in such a way to prove that her dad committed suicide as he was caught red handed and proved guilty!
Everything was hushed up soon after because they didn't want anyone to dig into it further...
Arjun's blood boiled in anger and he could have piled up the bullets into each of the traitor's body had they been there!
He stood silent as she was still in the aftermath of her emotional outpour!
Suddenly Arjun remembered that she didn't mention about her mamma's whereabouts and enquired, "aur tumaari maa...woh kahaan hai?"
Sakshi: [letting deep sigh] maa zindha hai...she just exists in this world...uss din ke baadh unnone aaj tak kisi se koyi baat nahi kiya...she is in a shock till now...unnko lekhe bhaag daud nahi kar sakthi thi...isiliye unne ek safe place pe admit kiya hai...chup chup ke kabhi kabhi jaakhe mil lethi hoom...unne koyi farq nahi padtha kyun ki unne kuch patha nahi chaltha...koyi ehsaas nahi..koyi feelings nahi! Kuch nahi!...mujhe mooh utaakar dekhthi bhi nahi...
She hasn't even cried out once...deep in her mind, she knows that papa is no more with us parr unnke dil yeh maan ne keliye thayaar nahi hai...isiliye ek jhoot ko pakadh kar usi jhoot ko apna zindagi aur duniya banaakar beiti hai!... but I guess, its for the good too...atleast, woh apne uss jhooti duniya mein peaceful hai na?
[She let a faint chuckle] ajeeb sa pyar tha mamma papa ke beech mein...dono itne dhoor dhoor rehthe teh phir bhi itna pyar ek dhoosre keliye...unnone prove kar diya ke pyar sach mein paagal banaa dehtha hai...aakhir woh bhi...
[Her words got struck in her throat and she didn't complete that but he knew what she wanted to say! And who better than him could understand what she just said...After all, he was also a victim of such a brutal incident where his love was snatched away and had left him in such a state where he couldn't die nor could he live! It had also driven him to the extremes of madness!]
She turned to him now realizing that she had said something more than what was required...She changed the topic and spoke up, "main waapas aap ke life mein, aapke saamne nahi aana chahthi thi...lekin mere paas koyi raasta nahi tha...saare raaste bandh ho chukhe teh...sab dead ends pe jaakhe rukh gaye...
Papa ke ek dhost ne mere bohat help kiya...He is the only person whom I could trust apart from my nine friends...He is just like papa to me...
Unnke through bohat saare links aur information sources bhi milaa...[Arjun realized that Sakshi didn't want to let out the name of that person...He didn't want to probe too...]...unnone hi ETF ke baare mein mujhe bathaaya...aur tab mujhe patha chala ke aap bhi iss team ka hissa hai...I tried to back out but...[she stopped and looked at him intently...he could see that she had tried her best to be away from him but he really couldn't see the reason for such a stubborn decision from her side...he then felt that may be she was feeling guilty to face him after all that happened!]
Arjun just voiced out to ease her, "I understand Sakshi..."
Sakshi continued, "Mere sources aur links ke through mili information aapko pass on karthi thi...I chose you because I felt that you are the only person I could trust at that time...main kisi aur ko teek se jaanthi nahi thi...[She knew Arjun so well that trusting him was easier for her!]...aur ETF ka member banne ka khoshish bhi chal raha tha...I felt ETF was the only option where my life and my promise to bring out the truth will be safe!"
Arjun: but unn logon ko ab kaise patha chala?
Sakshi: patha nahi...yeh baat mujhe bhi confuse kar rahi hai...pehli baar jab mujhpe attack hua, tab maine socha ke woh uss gangster ka group se hai parr ab...
Arjun realized that there was someone close to Sakshi who was also linked to those traitors and was passing information about her to them!
He wanted to ask about those evidences but he decided to enquire that later...now she had to rest...her mind, her heart and her body needed rest after this exhaustive day!
Arjun: [consoling her...the last thing he wanted was to get her tensed and worried...he knew she was strong and he wanted her to remain the same] don't worry...tum ab safe ho...tumhe ya tumaare promise ko hum kuch nahi hone denge Sakshi...ETF tumaare saat hai! Tumaare papa ke sacrifice ko hum kabhi waste nahi hone denge...[looked at her assuring her and comforting her...their eyes lock for a long moment where words just cease to come out...yet the feeling was soothing!...he snapped out and added]
Ab tum jaakhe aaraam karo...
She looked at him with gratitude...She couldn't thank him for those consoling words...Now she had one more person whom she could trust completely...someone who wouldn't betray her no matter what!
