PART 30: THE DAY HE NEVER WANTED TO COME... WILL SHE BE ABLE TO HELP HIM!!!
it was friday night and kushi was playing with aarav and pinky... they were the girls most favourite kids and they refused to leave them for the night...
kushi and neetu were playing around and it was just 9... she reminded herself to call him at 11 as usual...
suddenly the mobile vibrated flashing arnavjiii
she smiled and was surprised... he called me this early...
kushii: helllo squirrel
but arnavs voice was a bit down
arnav: hii kushii.. did i disturb you
kushi: of course not.. i am not ASR to be disturbed
arnav smiled
arnav: kushi thank you ...

arnav: just for the food and company even amidst your schedule
kushi : oh o arnavjiii.. its okay how was your day
arnav: great kushi... and btw your project with the SHARMA groups have been accepted... they were very appreciative

kushi: i am gonna start KKG designs in the place straight opp to AR
arnav burst out laughing

next morning arnav was ready and went to his car thinking whether kushi would send happyji today also...
kushi called as usual and arnav continued his jogging chatting with her but he was not the usual way... he spoke even less than normal days...

arnav: yeah kushi.. jus feeling a bit tired in the past few days.. and you know work right now.. year end right
kushi found his excuses strange.. he works all round the year so why suddenly.. but still she believed him for once..
finally arnav settled..
arnav: so kushiii when will happyji come
kushi: oi squirell... go to your car.. you will get it
arnav: excuse me you have arranged stale food for me or what
kushi: oh o arnavjii.. i have brains... thats secret but **** fresh prepared today morning...
arnav saw the gift bag in his car. he smiled and had it with the juice...
arnav: ok kushi... i have some conferences today so cannot come to sype in the noon.. sorry ok
kushi: hmm.. okay arnavjiii
arnav: kushiii i
kushi: temme na
arnav: dunno kushi.. it would have been nice if you were here today
kushi: i am always with you
arnav: howww

he knew how true it was and he hung up and went back home...

the arrangements for his parents death anniversary were going on and the mansion was busy..
arnav and anjali did not joing the rest for breakfast as usual
arnavs dark memories came hitting on him the minute he stepped in his house...
nani gave an assuring look to him as he walked up to his room...
that was the one night he never wanted to remember.. how he wished mind was as mechanical as his laptops to delete stuff
his mind went back to that day

his body gave a jerk and he sat back at the recliner with his hands on his head trying his best to not let his tears come out
he felt a hand in his shoulder
he turned to see anjali...
he wrapped his arms tightly around her waist letting his tears out finally
arnav: di... why did ma leave us...
even a kid would have cried less than arnav... anjali found no words... but she was stronger.. stronger than him in this one thing...
anjali: chotey ma is always with you... rem kushiji told you na... she will always be seeing us
arnav: but she wont come to wipe my tears na di... i couldnt do anything di... and he hugged her tighter
anjali slowly caressed his back and held him in her embrace till he settled down...
finally arnav looked at her
anjali: okay chotey.. i will go down
.. you fresh up and come.. its time for the pooja.. okay.. don cry.. at least for me and she hugged him tight
anjali went down too her room... she saw rahul there...
she threw herself at him hugging him as tight as she could... rahul hugged her back
they broke the hug.
rahul kissed anjali on her foreahead assuring everything to be right...
anjali: rahul it would have been better if kushiji could have been here
rahul: it shall be that way from next year and he winked at her trying to change her mood
anjali nodded smiling a little...
arnav came down and the pooja started
he kept holding anjali's hand tightly till the pooja was over...
after the pooja he left to his room to pack his bags for the flight...
everybody knew the reason and left to their rooms to make it easy for him to leave...
he came to anjali's room and saw her with rahul . rahul got up to leave when arnav held his hand
he hugged rahul and smiled making him sit beside them
he hugged anjali..
arnav: di.. i am
anjali: i know chotey... but does kushiii
arnav: no dii
anjali: you have too right chotey.. she would have arranged for your sandwiches and he smiled at an instant
arnav: di how do you and he placed his hand on anjalis cheek as she smiled
anjali: it was i who kept the gift cover in your car chotey...
arnav nodded
arnav: i will tell her something di... and he got up to leave
anjali: but chotey
but arnav just left and he turned back to see anjali snuggle close to rahul
he smiled slowly .. his sister was at safe hands at last!!
rahul signalled anjali assuring her everything will be fine!

his flight was scheduled at 8...
it was 6 and he had not spoken to kushi since morning... he was suprised as he recieved her call
he sat back at his car seat knowing there is one hour left for the check in
arnav in a dull tone: hii nutsss ( he tried to hide )
kushi: ji... arnavjii... your meeting is over... did you have your lunch
arnav nodded and replied: yes kushii and his eyes teared up again
arnavs throat choked and he struggled for words...
arnav: so how was your day kushiii
kushi had had an amazing day of shopping and dancing that she spoke for 3 mins non stop
arnav smiled at hearing her cheerful voice...
kushi: you should have come here arnavjii.. we would have had fun
the thought of being with her made him all the more emotional...
unconsciously he muttered moving the phone away from his ears
: i wish i was by your side kushiii and a tear fell
kushi: arnav ji you said something
arnav: nothing kushi...
his heart longed for her... he wanted to throw himself into her arms... and cry his heart out... ever since he saw her his life had changed for the better and he had always sought her... this time he has begun to love her so much unconsciously that he missed someone even on the day he had never wanted to see anybody else...
kushi: jiii... arnavjiii your fine na
arnav realized he was breaking... he stiffened: yeah nuts i am fine.. i meant if i am there i could see you going crazy... saves time and chuckled hard
kushi sensed something wrong in his voice and talk: he was not an emotional person
but what is with him today
arnav contd: btw kushi i am going out to nanital( he bluffed) for signing a deal and would be with my clients all day... so will nto be able to call you till sunday morning...
kushi: what.. your clients are monkeys or what
arnav smiled hard: kushiii why
kushi: then what they wont let you alone even for few mins to talk to me is it and let out a sigh
arnav spoke like how he would have spoke to his kid: hmm they are not monkeys but when i speak t my best friend i want her to get all my time.. otheriwse the mind will be occupied.. right
kushi nodded smiling : jiii
arnav: so nuts like a good little girl of mine.. go and enjoy tomo fully with your ppl... once your here squirell wnt give you time... okay
kushi laughed and suddenly her voice went soft: arnavjii can i tell you something
arnav: yes kushiii
kushi: i just felt as though my dad spoke to me arnavjiii... i mean if he had been there he would have spoke to me like this only ... bauji told me i was always dads little girl...
and kushi felt her tears hitting her cheeks
she had neevr opened uo to anyone like this before all her life... not even to payal
arnavs tears fell open ad he was wiping them with his kerchief continuously
he could feel the pain in kushi's words and he was in a worst shape himself.. he clenched his fists tightlyto not show anything to kushi...
arnav: kushiii i
kushi immediately brightened not wanting to upset him: ok mr.squirrell... but on sunday morning after
you choo away those monkey boys first call to me and i will talk to you till your bluetooth loses charge
arnav smiled at her condition: well i cant say no acc to rule no 2 can i
and both smiled and arnav immeditaely cut the call as he knew if he had spoke another word he would
have broke down and kushi would surely want to come back.. he wanted her to be happy... just
smiling and nothing else
kushi was confused at the strange condition of arnav that he asked her not to call him till sunday
morning and he sounded a bit dull and emotional too
finally arnav let his tears fall... i miss you kushi... i really wish you were here...
he then switched off his phone looking at kushis pic
grabbed his bags pushing them to a trolley and set out for his flight!!
