Chapter - 9

Khushi opened her eyes and saw the bright light. She yawned and rubbed her eyes and stretching her hands half sat up and slowly turned her head towards left and looked at the mirror . She looked at the mirror and as realization hit her , her eyes popped out and she looked at her image.

Her hairs were all messed up , her eyes were dark , the kajal has got spread and there were still signs of makeup on her face and as her eyes moved downwards towards her shoulders , she saw only two thin strips and rest of her shoulders exposed , she instantly removed the cover from herself and got down from the bed and walked towards the mirror.

She looked at herself from top to bottom , her legs were revealed from knees , and then she turned towards the bed and saw the stilettos lying beside the bed. She remembered their visit to the disc last night , before that how Payal had forced to wear this cream white dress , and made her hair ,d id her makeup and then how she and Arnav had gone to the disc.

Throughtout the night so many girls asked him to dance , but he didn't leave her side for once. She remembered how he had drunk but have not allowed her to drink anything , but even normal fruit punch. Then she remembered their getting into the car , and he starting the car , but after that she remembered nothing. She looked at the clock and it showed 9 in the morning and seeing that she panicked and picking up a suite ran into the bathroom.

Everybody was sitting in the hall and were having tea and gossiping. Actually Anjali and Payal were deciding what to wear at the party at night , Nani , Mama and Mami were discussing about the puja that was to be held the 1^st day of the new year for ' sukh shanti and samridhi..' , Shyam was busy reading newspaper , Aakash... huh he too was busy ... busy looking at Payal and Oh ! our hero Arnav... he was playing with Anu. Playing ha . ha.. Anu was trying to climb on top of his shoulder and everytime she was trying he shaked his shoulder and she fell down on the sofa.

Khushi came running down the stairs and seeing everybody looking at her even Anu , whose one leg was on Arnav's arm and another on sofa , she said

"Sorry .. I am late..."

"Khushi koi baat nahi.. waise aacha kiya tune so liya.. aaj raat ko party mein bhi toh jana hai..." said Anjai.

"Party ???" she asked and slowly her pace , came and sat down beside Anu.

Hp seeing Khushi sittng down went to the kitchen and arranged her breakfast and brought it and said

"Khushi didi aapka nashta..."

"Aare Hp ji aap kyu lane gaye.. mai waha jakar kha leti.." [Why did you brought it.. I would have gone there and would have eaten it]

"Koi baat nahi Khushi didi.. waise bhi der ho gayi hai.. aap aab kha liiye.." [Its ok .. Khushi didi.. its already late.. so you eat it..] and giving her the plate Hp left when Payal all excitedly said

"Gosh Khushi tumhe aaj raat ke party ke bare mein nahi pata... aaj raat New Year's Party hai.. the Biggest Party of Delhi.. hum sab chalne wale hai.. so isn't it great.."

"Wow.. that's really great Payal.. I have never been to any New Year's Party."

"Oh then m gonna make you ready for it..

"Nahi nahi nahi..kal raat..."

"Khushi !!!!" Arnav almost shouted and Khushi and Payal as well as whole family looked at him and he managing the situation said

"Khushi ... I was telling that... Tonights theme is black and white.. so... you can wear something from AR creations..."

And Anjali hearing this said

"Wow.. Chote that's a very good idea..."

"Hai na di..."

"Obviously.."

And Payal said

"Hayee kitnha maza aane wala hai..." [Its gonna be so much fun..]

It was in the evening that Khushi heard a knock on her door and she went and opened the door and saw Arnav standing there smiling

"Kya hua ???"

"Kuch nahi..."

"hen why are you laughing ??"

"Bas aise hi..."

She gave him a suspicious look and he said

"Ok ! Ok ! fine.. yeh lo aapna dress..and ya party mein thoda sambhal kar rehna... except orange juice and water don't drink anything... ok.. bye.."

And before she could say anything he was gone. She smiled and was about to close the door when Arnav came back and said

"Waise Khushi.. I guess you don't know... but humare ghar ka riwaz hai that we gift everybody something... on New Year.. so bye."

"Gift ??? kaisa gift ???"

And she locked the door and coming inside the room said

"Oh no aab mai sabko kya gift doon..."

Then she decided that she will make her favourite jalebis after returning and wil make everybody eat it.

She picked the bag and slowly brought out the box and opened the box to find a beautiful , stunning black gown . She opened the gown to its full length and holding it infront of her stood infront of the mirror . She smiled looking at it and was about to go to change when she noticed another box inside the bag. She brought the box and opened and there she found a simple yet beautiful diamond set. She looked at it , but then thinking something kept it down and went to change.

She came out wearing the dress and she was not able to believe that it was just perfect with not revealing much , yet making her look gorgeous. She did her hair and a bit make up and was about to open the door , when she heard a knock on the door. She opened the door and saw Arnav standing infront of her wearing a black tuxedo and looking

"Beautiful..."

She fluttered her eyes and asked

"Kya ??"

He looked at her again from top to bottom and said

"You are looking absolutely gorgeo... I mean you ready.. everybody is waiting downstairs."

She smiled and nodded and was about to walk out of the room , when he stopped her showing his hands, and he took a step forwards making her move a step back. He took another step forward and with that entered the room , she stepped back again. Arnav broke the eye contact and looked at the bed once and then waled straight towards it. She turned towards the bed too and saw him picking up the other box.

Arnav picking the box turned towards her and with a serious face asked

"Khushi why haven't you put this on "

"Arnav.. I cant take anymore costly gifts from you.. and this diamond set..."

And he all of a sudden started laughing making her confused and then he holding his stomach and somehow controlling his laughter said

"Paraku... tu itni aasani se bevkuf ban gayi.."

"Matlab ???"

He walking towards her said

"Matlab yeh ki... its not a diamond set... its fake... it just shine like a diamond ,.. but its made of glass... 1000 rs ke set ko tune lakhon ka samjh liya... hey wait.. what you say. Haan.. hey devi mayiya.. iss ladki ka kya hoga... "

She looked at him with amusement and asked

"Yeh diamond set nahi hai ???"

"Nahi meri maa...its just glass and stone cutting... I just brought it since it will go good with the dress and will look nice.."

"Ok !!!"

"Now will you do the honour and wear it.."

She smiled and took the set from his hands and went infront of the mirror to wear it.

She easily wore the bracelet , but as she tried to stretch her hand to wear her ear rings , she realized that the dress was a bit too perfectly fit and so stretching her hands might lead into tearing a two or more stitches of the hand portion. So she tried slowly , but it was of no use, so she said

"Arnav lets leave it.. "

"Why ? Kya hua ???"

"Woh .. don't laugh.. but the dress , the hand part is a bit tight so I cant..."

"Oh !!!"

"Yea.."

"Umm should I help ???"

She looked at him for a good min and then slowly nodded her head in a yes'

He walked to her and she turned back towards the mirror , her back towards him. He bend and picked up the neck piece , and slowly removed her hair from her back side. She didn't knew why , but as soon as his fingers touched her neck she felt as if a wave of current moving through her body . He moving a bit more closer to her slowly put the necklace in the perfect position and then slowly took one side of the hook and brought it to the attachment part and fixed it, and she shievered. As the necklace was done , he slowly brought back her hairs , and let them fall on her back .

Then bending down he picked up the ear rings and as he touched her right ear, she sighed , she could feel his breathe near her ears , he was slow and steady , he slowly put the ear ring and then while fixing it looked at her , at their reflection on the mirror , and as their eyes met , she got lost into them , and then he slowly broke the eye contact and walked to the other side and same way slowly made her wear the other ear ring.

He for once looked at the mirror and the effect he was having on her. And then she slowly stepped back from her. He moved away and stood their watching her regain her composure . Slowly her breathing became normal and she turned towards him and said

"Thans..."

And he nodded and said

"Chalein.. everybody is waiting downstairs.."

And with that he walked out of the door , and she for once looked back at the mirror and saw the red parts of her cheek , she knew it was wrong to feel this way , but she didn't knew why and how , his touch gave her goosebumps , his mere presence near made her heartrate increase so much , that it was almost visible that she was composing herself. She sighed and nodding her head twice said

"Arnav is ur friend... a good old friend."

All three of them looked at her and Payal said

"Let me introduce you to Khushi... Khushi this is my one and only brother NK..." she said pointing towards Nk , and Nk shaked hands with her and

"This is my one and only Bhabi Lavanya..." and Lavanya hugged Khushi and smiled and then turning towards Aakash said

"And he is my stupid fianc... You know him"

And Khushi laughed.

Nk asked

"Tum Arnav ke saath same college mein thi na???"

"Ya we were in the same college as well as same stream and class"

Khushi felt greatful to Lavanya and liked her more , but she didn't liked Nk , if was as if , she could feel negative vibes coming from him, as if he didn't wanted her here , as if he hated her.

Awesme update yr... I really luvd the intimate scene btw arshi... Wow.. Awesme... The way he weard her necklace and earrings... Is nk negative... I have the sane opinion... Lets wait and see...
