Nupur shrugged off all the thoughts from her mind and also decided it to give this day a great start as she had to reach office fast because Mayank would be there for choosing and approving the designs.

Nupur drank the tea and was soon ready as it was another big day for her she wanted to be happy but the thought of Mayank being in front of her made her sad or rather scared somewhere. But she was courageous enough to face it so she was ready to get out of the house and grab the opportunity.

"Ok Gunjan I am leaving. May be I will come late tonight ok." Nupur said while taking her hand bag.

"Ok di. Good bye. Have a nice day" Gunjan said while smiling.

"Good bye" Nupur too smiled weakly and left the house.

Nupur reached her office and was waiting for Mayank but as usual he was late and this was one of the reasons why Nupur hated him.

Suddenly Nupur's phone rang. It was an unknown number so at first she dint want to pick it up but remembering that it may be important she picked it up.

"Hello" She said calmly.

"Hello Ms.Bhushan." someone said from the other side.

"Yes" Nupur replied a bit loudly and clearly sensing it was an important call.

"I am calling from Sharma Industries and I am Mr.Sharma's secretary. He said that since he has some important meetings he will be late. He can only come after 5 o'clock he just wanted to know if its ok and will you be there?"

Nupur felt irritated at first she wanted to bang Mayank's head against a wall but then she controlled herself and thought that losing control would be her loss and no one else's. So she decided to agree to it

"Yup we will be there."

"Ok Mam"
She said it and disconnected the call.

Nupur decided to tell her team about it so she headed towards them.

"Ok guys there is a bad news."
Everyone gathered around her to listen to her.

" Mr.Sharma will be late he has said that he will reach at 5o'click but I am pretty sure that he will be more late than that." Nupur said while frowning.

"But that is quite a good news Nupur."
Andy said while smiling.

"Why is that so?"Nupur asked while raising her brows.

"Because we haven't done with the sketching and colours everything would be perfect till five we so needed this time."He said while smiling.

"Oh God why dint you guys tell me about it. I am here from more than an hour. You guys should have told me we could have found a solution but since now everything is fine lets just not waste time lets get started."

Saying this they all engaged themselves in work. Nupur started making sketches and choosing colours. She was once here and once there. She was puzzled at a moment but all team mates just gave her belief that they could do it.

Soon it was 4p.m and now Nupur wanted to just check everything and arrange everything in the manner she liked. They had made 2-3 designs for each room according to the room's placement and structure because they wanted to give choice to Mayank.

Just as Nupur had thought Mayank was late it was 5:50 pm and Mayank was no where to be seen. Most of her employees had left as 5:30 was the deadline for their work and they dint even had to attend the meeting. Only Nupur and Andy were going to attend it. AT 6:30 PM Nupur was informed by Andy that Mayank has reached the office compound . Nupur was irritated because of it but had to bear it just like she used to bear it earlier in life.

"Hello and I am really sorry for being actually I am tired of attending these meetings and I wanted this one to be the last meeting of the day so I became late."
Mayank said while giving his best smile so that Nupur could pardon him because no one on this earth could say no to his MILLION DOLLAR SMILE and he knew it.

"Its ok Mr. Sharma please have a seat" Nupur said forcefully as she had no option but if they had been sharing their old relationship then she would have hit him hard and would have fought with him but unfortunately they dint share that bond which they shared earlier.

Nupur just started showing the designs and explaining why it would look good and why should he choose those designs and colours. While explaining a strand of her was continuously coming on her face and disturbing her. She was continuously moving it away but it was again making its way towards her face. Mayank was more lost in her beauty than her words.

Mayank couldn't help but look at her according to him she looked mesmerizing today in her simple baby pink formal shirt and black trousers. She looked different because the Nupur he knew was always in salwar suit there was no doubt that she looked as beautiful as earlier in this dress but she had changed a lot. Mayank was just so lost in her that he was just not listening to what all Nupur was saying.

Nupur realised that something was wrong with him and he was not listening to her so
she went near him and started moving her hand in front of him and calling his name.
"Mayank Mayank.Are you alright ?"She asked with concern and Andy also joined her.

Mayank was dumbfounded he dint know what to say.All he could manage was to give an excuse
"Actually I am confused please you only suggest what would look the best."He said while making a confused and innocent face.

Nupur just looked at him with a blank expression at first but then she decided to sit next to him and explain everything to him carefully as she knew with so many designs anyone would be confused but she dint know what the real reason was and neither did Mayank wanted to tell her.

She took a deep breath and was about to start again when suddenly Andy interrupted in between
"Hey Nupur please don't mind but I have to leave its already 8:00 pm and I can't wait anymore as I have guests coming home."
he said in an apologising tone."

"Its alright Andy I'll mange."
Nupur said while smiling as Andy was her only rescue from Mayank and now he was also leaving. Soon Andy left and Nupur was explaining everything to Mayank but she was continuously distracted due to his intense gaze which she thought to be passionate earlier but now it seemed fake ,it was as if he was looking at her because he has a habit of doing it. Now the clock had struck 10:30 pm and they were done with their meeting so they were about to leave and to her rescue he was just staring at her and nothing else. Everyone in the building had left as it was too late. Nupur's office was on the 10^th floor of the building it was a small and sweet office filled with sweet people too.

Nupur had got up from her seat to open door but when she tried doing so she couldn't open it. Noticing this so Mayank offered her help. She knew Mayank could help so she stepped aside but even after trying a lot Mayank couldn't open it so Mayank had decided to turn around to ask Nupur if it was a regular habit when suddenly the lights too went off.
