I absolutely support all you writers in your fight against plagiarism.
I am one of those readers who is missing out on some of the good works because they have shifted to protected blogs and even though they are highly recommended in recommendation posts by other members I am not able to read them.
Some of you are fabulous writers whose writing i have immensely enjoyed.
I have largely been a silent reader and at times it is not only because i find it difficult to put my thoughts into words but also this thought in my mind ----"what if this one is plagiarized" would it not be unfair on the original writer"..but then there is this feeling of guilt too that I am not verbal about my appreciation of the writing.
I am sure a "no copy code" and also swift determination and broadcasting of accounts that are posting plagiarized works should be of immense help to safeguard the genuine writers of this forum.
I hope some positive action is taken at the earliest.

First of all it is a very good initiative to stop plagiarism.
I understand from a writers pov, a writer want his or her work to be acknowledged and appreciated by many readers as its been posted on a open forum. If the authors are ready sacrifice even the above stated reasons, its simply because they want their work to be safe from plagiarism, they want their hard work's results to be only bestowed on them.. They want their efforts which they put through to gives us every update which has been cherished or criticizeed by readers which solely belongs to oly them.

I do feel bad that because of this plagiarism the readers suffer too.. They have been denied access to blogs, some are treated very badly. And what they miss out most is the journey of being part of someone's amazing works.

My favourite writer left this forum, one of best writer the forum has seen.. Am glad am part of her work even today through blog .. You know what hurts me though, people miss out on beautiful and well penned down stories, for an avivd reader its a dream come true to go through such works, but they are denied that all thanks to PLAGIARISM!!
Thank you for this brilliant initiative to fight against plagiarism, you can count on me for the support till we take them down together

Great initiative. And 'proper' and strict action towards plagiarism is LONG overdue here. Its high time more thought and even better - more action is taken against plagiarism.

It will make all the writers much more confident and less apprehensive about posting in IF. And stricter actions and rules will put off plagiarizers and 'potential' plagiarizers too.

I truly hope that action is finally taken this time.

Great effort and my wholehearted support to this initiative. I am a voracious reader of Arhi FFs and that is one of the reasons that I became and have continued being a IF member. Plagirism has resulted in many of my favourite writers leaving IF which is a major loss to readers like me.

I am all for fight against any WRONGING!!! 👍🏼 And plagiarism is no less than ANY OTHER FORM OF CRIME!!!😡

Its high time MODS take actions against such crooks and do their bit in preventing it and implementing their rights in protecting the members of the forum and their creative work. If they can close posts for some lame reasons they "stealing" is BIG enough to close accounts and remove copied work!!!

I am new to the world of stories on the forum and unfortunately not able to read some of the best work out there as its been removed or moved to access only blogs. I really respect the decisions taken by these writers and hence refrain from requesting access too as they are only doing it to protect their work. I am can also understand how difficult it much be for these writers to restrict their creative work as all the encouragement, motivation and satisfaction they get is from readers comments, feedback and appreciation, which they have to forgo unfortunately.

Here is the US there are strict laws against plagiarism and kids are taught about it right from school and they are warned about it. I personally know people who got less grades or lost on credits due to plagiarism. Even eminent personality like Fareed Zakaria of CNN was not spared, then why should good for nothing offenders being spared here on IF?

There are ton of cyber laws against plagiarism and IF should definitely implement those!!!

Will do my bit in stopping this!!

All the best to all the writers... I don't write.. But I have read enough stories..

Sometimes a lot of stories are direct copies of well known stories...mostly mills and boon .. Pride and prejudice and some love novels..
Can they be called plagiarization..

Since most stories are arshi stories they do resemble the plot ideas .. Like Arnav and Khushi to fall in love..
Lavanya to be the bad good ex girl friend..
Shyam to be the villain lusting over Khushi married to Anjali sister of Arnav...

Now if the story plot lifted from popular mills and boon .. Characters from ipk. Are similar..
The lines to distinguish plagiarization becomes... Hazy..

I do not write ...but I have read enough to know a lot of the stories and characters are similar..
If you want I can make an index on stories.. Which are similar grouped together.. Not keen..
Just because a hero drives a certain car or drinks a certain drink..cannot be labelled as plagiarization...in my words..

However I understand its a crime.. If I see blatant copies verbatim of writers that I have read on other site in different names..I will report back to them..this is my duty as I have read the authors work free of cost and I owe it to them..

Plagiarism has become a very serious issue in this forum. Plagiarizers should be banned from this forum.
