This was a chapter from Khushi's perspective.
So, Khushi sometimes puts up a facade of laughing and listening to NK..
She is also affected by the turn of events.

I wonder whether NK understood that Khushi was not listening to his words.

The almost-kiss from Khushi's perspective was very intricately described.

She is very efficient in reading the changes of all the emotions in Arnav's eyes.

Arnav isn't a talker and so his eyes do the talking for him.. And Khushi is perceptible enough to understand.

Inspite of wanting to close her eyes when Arnav was so close to her, she preferred to keep them open.
I felt that this small incident showed that she has become really strong and doesn't behave like a typical shy girl, who would close her eyes.
( But it tempts me to wonder that what would have happened if Khushi had closed her eyes! 😉 )

" .. but his breaths on her cheek had unnerved her. "
This particular line hints at the fact that Khushi is also affected by Arnav. But obviously not as attracted as Arnav is to Khushi.

Khushi thinks very deeply- she wondered whether Arnav was thinking about the same thing, which she was thinking.
It was amazing to read how a singular thought of an unplanned and incomplete event(the Kiss) connected Arnav and Khushi - both were thinking about the same thing albeit in different perspectives.

Arnav's backing out at the last moment, invoked a sense of trust in Khushi.
If attraction is essential (in case of Arnav) , then Trust is equally essential (in case of Khushi) for laying the foundation of Love.

Khushi has really got guts. At first she thought of following Arnav after he went to the balcony. Then she thought about seeking answers/explanations
for what happened in the room.. And she didn't bother two hoots about the fact that Arnav might yell, get angry or hide somewhere just to not answer her.
Hail her Guts! 👏

NK ".. bent down to hug her." Why couldn't Arnav see this and burn some more in Green Fire? 😃

It seems that the prejudice and Hate are dwindling into oblivion, as Arnav is highly obsessed with the thoughts of earning her forgiveness.
The question is-
Was he thinking about taking her to the shopping or was it just an impromptu idea after seeing Khushi?

I felt that his smirk reflected two things. Firstly, it was the by-default smug reaction which he is used to give to others. Secondly, it was an expression of satisfaction that he succeeded a little, and a feeling of gratitude towards Khushi for accepting his idea.

Arnav's reactions were beautifully potrayed. He tries hard to mask his feelings but his eyes gave away the secrets.

It would be great when Khushi would buy only a gift for NK and not anything else.. Arnav will understand that Khushi doesn't intend to buy anything else with his money.
I'm eagerly waiting for the lunch on Christmas.

its start of love story or something new in their relation

i hope from now they now they start knowing each other

some relation catch sometime and force to move on whether they get together or separated forever

we should give time to getting in to any decision

here khushi and arnav ready to give time and take chance i think

Working for an apology, Arnav? Nice start.

Short, but well written chapter. And please, don't change the pace of this story. It's perfect. It needs all the time; your characters do. And you've done so well so far. Don't undo that by changing the pace. I mean, you can change it, obviously...but do it when you feel like it and not just because of any other reason.

I'm sorry for the rant but one of the main reasons I love this story is because of the pace. Emotions don't change all of a sudden. It takes time.

I think you're doing great. Just keep it up! :-)

its nice to see that arnav is trying to make things better between them!!! and i could easily imagine khushi's face when arnav asked her if she will go shopping with him instead of imposing his demand
that was a nice update ... love it
