Hello everyone! This is my first ever story so thoda bekaaar to hoga hi… so please try to avoid my mistakes and sorry as it might not reach to your expectations. One more thing in my story there is no need of a villain so here Shivam is not a negative character.
Alright here we go.
HATE OR LOVE
"Once more!! ONCE MORE!!"
"DANCE again!! We want more!!!"
The noise of applauses coming from the auditorium made her clench her fists tightly, her nails digging into her skin making them bleed…
She couldn't bear it anymore and stiffly and aggressively she went out from her cabin and building towards the parking area. Even though she went away from those noises but they kept ringing in her ears.
"I hate you" she whispered still frustrated and hurt. A tear trickled down her cheeks.
She opened the gate of her car, slipped into it and sped away as fast as she could.
Ye mere dil ka jana ek aakhri faisla hai
Ab saath hoga na tera ye dard ki intehaan hai
It been 3 years and 2 months when she left them. Her family, her brother, her friends and her rey. No one knew where she was except her ma, papa and only friend left shivam who were made to swore that they wouldn't disclose it. Yes she was away from them her loved ones just because of her one stupidity one decision she took from her mind. The girl who used to think from her heart, took a decision from her mind, first in her lifetime which was the worst one. The stupid decision about which no one knew.
Tha pyaar tera to jhoota sachha magar ye khuda hai

Here in the auditorium everyone was looking for her, to congratulate her for the amazing success. The chief guest came looking for her towards Shivam, her assistant and her friend who had no idea about where she was. Let alone were she was, he had no idea what she would do the next moment. He apologized from her behalf for her absence and excused himself from the auditorium.
"See I told you. She is not present today also, only her assistant is there for the occasion." said one of the guest to the chief guest.
"God knows why she never attends any parties nor meetings nor events." replied the chief guest.
Here Shivam entered into her cabin hoping she is there but it was cold and empty. "Damn it.. she is not there!"he said looking towards the table which had her nameplate.
"TAANI - CHAIRPERSON"
He went towards the parking area and realized her car was not parked there. He sighed, turned and faced the building from which he just came out. A large board hung it which said-
" THE D3 ACADEMY, GOA"
The car was racing with the wind now. These years changed her completely. She was no more the ever smiling, chirpy taani, she was no more fragile. She was now a chairperson of a dance academy. No one saw her smiling, happy. Actually she never socialized with anyone, nobody knew her as a person. She was considered to be a strong headed lady but no one knew the turmoil inside her heart.
Tanhai kaa ashk mitaaye yaha
Barbadiyaan bhi sabko jane mili h kaha
She left Mumbai but couldn't leave her feelings behind.
She realized the speed was becoming too dangerous know not for her but for others and so she stopped the car by the side of road. She came out and glanced the surroundings, it was dark and lonely just like her life. Leaving her car she started walking to her mansion which was far away remembering the memories of her past life.
Miles away in a city in an apartment there was silence. No one knew what to talk or what to share. They met everyday but didn't have enough words on what had happened 3 years 2 months ago.
They had moved on in life but still stayed at that moment which changed their life. They all now were renowned choreographers of the country with the most luxurious and comfortable lifestyle. But still something was missing, that was happiness. For swayam she was the reason to smile, her life. And for rey she was her heartbeat. She was the most adorable close friend for others who went from their lives out of the blue.
"I couldn't find her." said vicky with his eyes wet.
"where are you taani." Said swayam almost choking with tears.
"Missing you neha is."
"we will find her soon." Sharon tried to assure everyone and herself.
Nilesh looked towards rey who was blank.
"rey? Rey?"called bharat. Rey lifted his head up glanced at everyone and moved out of the apartment. He was angry, hurt and he couldn't bear it anymore. The separation with his life tored him apart and the agonizing part was he didn't knew the reason of it. He thrashed his hand on the main gate of swayam's apartment in frustration, blood oozed out but he didn't care. His heart was choking so he just left for his home.
Tere bina hum jee lege phir kyu rahe koi gile

She entered her mansion tired and exhausted went straight to the kitchen. There was nothing to eat, cook and housemaids were at a holiday today and she won't cook. She now no more cooked nor did house cleaning as it made her remember them, which her stupid decision has led to lose.
Her room was filled with the pictures of bhai ,rey, her ma papa and dear friends. All the past memories flooded in front of her eyes. She opened her cupboard which still had a rey's corner, took out a night dress to change and sleep as she had to leave for the academy early in the morning. The irony was that she wasn't present in any of the meetings she just issued orders to shivam who as her assistant and principal acted on them. No one knew her family background and she was just a strict head of the institution for them.
FLASHBACK
"BHAAI! BHAABHI! oops sry Sharon hurry up! You are next! You can stare each other after the performance also." Taani giggled.
Swayam and Sharon came out of their trance, embarrassed , glanced at taani who tried to control her giggles whereas the whole group was amused. They both hurriedly went to the stage to perform for the evening of the college fest. Everyone was busy in preparing themselves for the next group dance except rey and taani. Rey was setting his hair at the backstage when he saw taani smiling at the cute antics of Vicky, nilesh, amar and bharat, and he got lost in her smile. With his hands in his hair he was smiling and staring her through the mirror which didn't get unnoticed by neha, rinni and simmi.
Simmi waved her hands in front of him, neha coughed near his ears but it didn't break his trance. At last rinni signaled the boys and they in amusement waved their hands up saying 'chemistry'.
Rey shook his head and taani shied away. Swaron's performance ended and it was a great hit.
Next was rey's solo performance so taani went in the audience , how could she miss seeing her prince charming's performance?! The next which happened was the foundation of all the wrong which had taken over their lives.
In the audience she heard a conversation out of nowhere.. "rey! Rey! Oh god he dances so amazing! He would surely become a star one day!"said one girl.
Taani smiled on this comment.
"yeah but you never know "said her friend. "what do you mean??"said the girl confused.
"whose girlfriend is a non dancer how can he be connected to his dreams and aspirations for long?" was the reply on which taani smile faded. But she shook away all the possibilities of it being the truth and again started cheering for her prince charming.
His dream was hers. As the performance ended she excitedly went to the backstage, flung on rey and said "you were great and you know what I love you." With cute smile on her face which made rey fall in love altogether again with her. He hugged her back tightly and said "I m just for you and love you too."
Whole group was fond of their cuteness and innocence whereas swaron prayed that nothing break them apart.
FLASHBACK ENDS
It was morning she slowly opened her eyes and saw rey's photo beside her bed. She rose up from her bed and saw the date at the calendar.. it was bhai's birthday.. she changed into her usual boring formal clothes and went to a big room next to her own. She placed a box wrapped in golden paper with a cake and said "happy birthday bhai. I wish you get every happiness in your life. Sorry for not being with you, for being the most stupid person in your life. " and she stepped out of the room which was filled with gifts which she couldn't gift her loved ones.

She locked the mansion and went to her academy where Shivam was waiting for her arrival. He followed to her cabin and quietly asked "you okay?" to which she just nodded.
He has become used to her silence but sometimes felt too scared for her. Just then the receptionist came "ma'am, students want to meet you to show their medals which they were been awarded yesterday. You left yesterday…" before she could say anything taani cut her off "Principal is there to acknowledge them. So now you may leave."
Receptionist was dumbfounded and just left. Taani glanced at her academy's principal Shivam and he a bit irritated told her "why are you doing this? Are you insane? Its been three years you haven't seen 'them'!" she replied coldly "no its been three years and two months".
"you are hurting yourself and more than that you have lost your real self"
"I have not lost myself, I left it with rey, with bhai, with them."
"its no use talking to you. I should better leave." And he left to meet the students.
All alone in her cabin she closed her eyes and once again whispered "hate you. just hate you."
Miles away back to the apartment , there was no celebration , there never had been since past some years, just formal wishes arrived, nothing else. Not far away from swayam's apartment was rey's home where rey was lying in his room. Sleep has lost its way to his eyes.. when? He himself didn't know. He came back to the real world when his phone beeped a message. It was Sharon reminding him of rehearsals. They had to perform on a grand event in goa which was really important for the growth in their career. He stood up from his bed facing the picture of her life. He moved closer to her picture and touched it asking "why? Where are you? Don't you miss me?" Tears started flowing and stopping them was not in his control. "you just wait. I'll find you anyhow and then you will have to explain. Got it?"

FLASHBACK
In the college canteen,
"yay yayyy!!" shouted the gang "we did it."
"I just can't believe it! We are into the finals of national dance competition?"said rinni jumping excitedly. "it looks like a dream."
Simmi pinched her, "come out of your dreams rinni!!" and laughed.
"OUCHH! "
"why did you pinch hel so hald simmi! "amar said out of concern. "did it hurt you much?"looking towards dreamy rinni.
"noo" she smiled.
"ahem ahem.. guys lets start our rehearsals as soon as possible, it's a big competition. If won it will change our lives." declared Sharon.
"you are always right my Sharon " said swayam gazing her all the time. Sharon surprised by the compliment looked towards him and his gaze made her shy.
"oh not again swayam. Stop being lover boy all the time. Its not the right place. I hope you know what I mean." teased rey.
Just then taani arrived with lots of snacks and coldrinks, balancing them, she tripped and was about to fall with her head on the table but nothing can happen to you when there is love in your life. Rey caught her in middle, "you are never careful!! Why the hell don't you take care of yourself?" he was scared of her being hit.
She smiled at his concern. "I am fine until I am with you." He smiled and kept staring at her innocence with love.
They were cut off in between by the 'awww' looks of their gang.
"now now someone is becoming prince charming" teased Sharon. Swayam being in protective brother mode "rey is full on right. You are never careful. Did you get hurt? I should call a doc straightaway. Let me see whichone..."
"BHAI!!"
Sharon rolled her eyes and others clasped their heads "lover boy to overprotective bhai"
Days went by with tough rehearsals, no time for fun, unintentionally taani felt left out. The conversation she heard that day kept ringing in her mind, though her heart didn't accept it. She couldn't accept that she can come between his dreams and aspirations. Afterall his happiness mattered her the most.
' The day ' came. She was on her way to the venue of the competition , excited as it was the day of dreams for her beloved ones. She glanced at her watch "god! I m late! You are too much taani.. you are late TODAY??!! I should hurry up now.. just can't miss the performances!!" and she accelerated her car. Here at the venue rey and swayam were eagerly waiting for taani.. she was their goodluck charm.. their confidence.. the performances started ..
On the other side taani in her excitement and happiness didn't notice that she was flying with high speed of car and no sooner she lost control of the car.
BANG came the car crashing to a large rock by the side of road. Her head hit the steering, tossed to the front door.. blood oozed out from her forehead.. her hands were full of cuts bleeding profusely.. she felt her leg was fractured.. she was completely numb in shock at what occurred moments ago..
At the venue rey tried calling her but the calls went unanswered.. he was increasingly getting tensed and hyper. Swayam was also getting worried and was pacing around swiftly. Just then his phone ringed and everyone expectantly look towards him for any update about taani.. little did they know what was to come.
"hello taani? Where the hell are you? As always you are late today! Now its rey's turn and you are still not present? come fast!! Why aren't you replying??" swayam said all in one breath.
"a.. a.. am sorry but this phone was found in a car nearby road and it had met with an accident." someone replied from the other end.
Swayam went in complete shock and so were others..he couldn't believe what he just heard.. rey snatched the phone "wh..where is she? H.. how is sh..she? I want to ta..talk to her. Is she fi..fine?"
"I m so sorry but I don't know anything as of now. she was sent to the hospital an hour back.."
Rey felt he lost something.. something tore him apart.. his heart felt a stinging pain inside him.
Rey rushed outside the venue with swayam and the rest gang following them. They were getting more hyper and tensed every moment as they couldn't imagine what had happened to her.
On the hospital bed, taani gained consciousness and looked around her surroundings.. she moved her head and winced in pain, just then the doc came who informed her that her friends were on their way.. she glanced at the clock and was shocked at what she realized.. "he missed the competition! He lost his dreams because of me! I finished everything??? I cant be the reason of his sadness.." her face was covered with tears, pain and guilt.. "I cant face you anymore.. my presence in your life is wrong.. I m sorry.. sorry rey.. but I promise nothing will go wrong know onwards..everything will be perfect for you because I wont be there.." she sobbed.. "Hate u.. I hate u taani.. I hate myself.. but I love u rey more and I have to leave.."
She had decided and thus she called Shivam asked him to discharge her before they came.. before rey and bhai came..she left.. and she left her real self behind..
"WHAT??HOW CAN YOU DISCHARGE HER WITHOUT MY PERMISSION?WITHOUT INFORMING ME??"shouted swayam at the doctor. The thought of losing his little sister jolted him.
"WHO TOOK HER?? ANSWER ME RIGHT NOW??THIS IS WHAT YOU CALL PROTOCOL OF YOUR HOSPITAL??IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO HER, YOU ARE GONE!"" rey roared at the doctor with all his might.
They couldn't figure it out where she was. Though the time flied but everything stopped at that moment. Rey was completely shattered after losing his taani and swayam tried all his might to find her but it was of no use..

Yes , she hates herself for that day.. for spoiling everything.. but she loved rey and bhai more and so founded this academy "D3 ACADEMY"..
She came out of her thoughts with a knock on the door. Shivam entered and told her about the grand dance concert which is to be organized at their academy. She as always asked him to take over this responsibility as she wanted to be away from such concerts… they stabbed her heart..
With this he left her cabin and thought something to just finish it off.. finish the wait of these lovebirds.. he was finding too much now to tolerate her coldness seeping her heart.. and was afraid she will surely kill herself like this one day.. he quickly went to her mansion and searched the keys to her gift room, took all the gifts and sent it to that apartment miles away in jodhpur… "sorry taani.. I shouldn't have agreed with you at the first place that day.. this wouldn't have happen.. you made me swore not to tell them where you are but not to send gifts.." and he smiled knowing everything will become normal now..
"rey rey rey!! Look what has come!!! GIFTS! OH GOD I CANT BELIEVE IT!!" said swayam jumping in joy and tears in his eyes from one couch to another .
"so how does it matter.. it was your birthday.. why are you acting like a toodler?" rey was confused with swayam's sudden excitement .
"these are not just for me .. they are for everyone of us.. oh I don't even have words left to explain.. Sharon you explain him!"
Sharon who couldn't believe what she saw on the note sticked to the gifts just hugged swayam whereas everyone was looking each others faces not knowing what was happening. When swaron saw the faces of their friends they couldn't help but laugh at the scenario. After so many years they laughed because they knew they found her. Sharon gave the note to rey who uninterestedly glanced at it but the next moment he was delighted and crying with joy.
"GIFTS FOR YOU- FROM TAANI"
Below it was written the address of goa..
"I am coming to get you taani.. to know the reason you left everyone of us and never looked back at that point of time where you were our first priority… when I needed you.. you left.." rey said in between his tears of joy with pain. "You left some questions unanswered and I am coming to get them.. to get back my life.. to get back you.."
"WE ARE COMING GOA.. WE ARE COMING TAANI!!" SHOUTED THE GANG THRILLED TO GET BACK TO THEIR REAL SELF.
Next day……
"Hey watchout Vicky you again stamped my foot. What are you doing?" frowned bharat.
"Really? I didn't realize.. Let me replay the scene once again" and Vicky dropped the luggage on his foot and ran towards the car with bharat chasing him behind. He slammed into nilesh who lost his balance and fell on amar. Rey, Swayam and girls came with their luggage and seeing the sight in front of them went into fits of laughter.
Amar chasing nilesh who was behind bharat who was running behind Vicky who tripped and fell on swayam. Rey tried to stop the nuisance but himself got entangled between them.
"ENOUGH GUYS!!! STOP IT!!" Sharon screamed. And everyone stopped in the statue mode."So shall we leave now?"and everyone nodded like a kid. "get into the cars..NOW."
In the D3 academy, everyone was in hurry to complete the job ordered by the chairperson who locked herself in her cabin so that she doesn't have to face those memories again.. this academy made her remember the good times with rey , bhai , Sharon, everyone… but these concerts made her remember that unfateful day when she lost everything.

"ma'am.. they have come.." the organizer called to inform her but was cut off by her. "I told you i never attend concerts. I am just responsible for their arrangements so you just convey it to the principal."She replied coldly.
Here at the venue the whole gang met the Principal and was dumbfounded. Shivam lowered his eyes and could just say "it was me who delivered those gifts.. she told me not to inform you but I could no more.. she has changed completely and you know what she hates herself to the core.. she hates herself for that day.. " he was left with no words.
Some where in a dark and empty rehearsal room, she sat on the floor just when she heard a song coming from the auditorium which made her numb with pain..
Dil se rey.. dil se rey.. all the memories flashed again in front of her.. when she met him for the first time in locker room.. when he danced on dil se rey blindfolded.. when he fought for her.. when she dressed his wounds… their moments during food fight.. their passion in the rehearsal hall.. how he confessed his love.. their first date on the terrace.. their trip to goa together… their first valentine…
These memories made her sob and she just broke down saying "I m sorry rey.. I cant be with you.. I can only give you pain.. you lost your opportunity because of me and I will never let it happen again.. I will never come back.. never ever.. you deserve someone far better than me.."
"and who the hell gave you the right that you can all alone decide our future??"came a voice which was familiar.. which she couldn't hear for a long time. That voice had anger, agony and pain. Her mind wished it wasn't him but her heart ached for it to be him. She quickly got up and turned around trying to figure out the face in complete darkness. She moved closer towards where the voice was coming from and it was him. She was just staring him lovingly, tears strolled down her cheeks and she felt grounded. The lights of the rehearsal hall were switched on by swayam and whole gang came barging in behind him. Swayam quickly hugged her with all her might and started scolding her.
"what do think of yourself? Mother india? You left us like we never existed for you. Do we even mean anything to you? And for what stupid reason… if Shivam wouldn't have told us we in our wildest dreams couldn't reach you…"
All others joined him scolding her for the stupidity but rey stood still staring her. Taani kept glancing everyone and felt his gaze on her. She didn't have courage left to meet his eyes… Sharon understood the tension brewing between them and signaled the gang to leave them for some time. They walked out leaving them alone. A moment of silence.
"I need an answer right now." Rey spoke with a slight tremble in his voice. She lifted up her face to see him but the hurt in his voice and love in his eyes made her look downwards.
He spoke again," do you hate yourself much more than you love me?" it was an unexpected question. She looked into his eyes which were eagerly waiting for an answer.
"I love you more than I hate myself." She spoke moving closer towards him.
"So how the hell you thought you can live without me" he shook her in sheer anger.
"I m sorry. And you know what I still love you and will always.." she sobbed.
"as if I don't know. And don't you dare do this to us again or else…" his anger fading away" I wont be able to live anymore.."
She nodded, kissed his cheek and gave a tight hug. Their heartbeats became one. He broke the hug kissed her forehead, leaned his forehead to hers and spoke, "I am just for you and I love you."
They both smiled through their tears and shared a passionate kiss. They walked to the auditorium where the whole gang was waiting for them, with hands held as now they would never break apart.
