Rathore saw them and came to action instantly.
"Chotu, hold Arjun up!" Rathore ordered taking Riya away from him. Even though not in his senses, Arjun held her tightly. Rathore, literally snatched Riya away from him. He held Riya in his arms, her body just like build with mega blocks. The game children play. If he didn't hold her carefully, she would shatter in his arms itself. Coz he knew her heart was in pieces already giving Arjun so much pain.

As soon as they reached the hospital, everyone plunged into action and the doctors started running here and there, Mr. Rawte a calm man, grabbed one of the doctor's collars and spoke to his shocked and fearful face, "these two are the most precious for me, my son and my daughter. If anything! Anything at all, happened to them, I swear, your hospital would be ashes the next second, before you know it!"
"And I will make sure of it!" Rathore came from behind with Shree and Chotu following him.
"I will, I will try my best." The doctor said scared of the people around him.
"I know you will, but the best should be the best, or else, you can not even imagine the 'best' we give." Rathore said threatening him and the doctor was in sweats.
Arjun and Riya were taken to the Operation theatre. The nurses and ward boys ran and bought the oxygen cylinders, syringes, medicines, operational equipments and some sort of machines they would need.
Everyone was gathered around the area, guards and ETF guarding each phase of the hospital, not taking any sort of risks. Every man or woman ever entering the hospitals were thoroughly checked, no person without a proper hospital pass was to enter the premises. Policemen and ETF surrounded the hospital. Chotu was in charge of the gates, Shree of the floor where Arjun and Riya were taken and Rathore, he was taking care of the whole camera room, eyeing the footages of people coming in and out of hospital.
Suddenly he got an idea and asked the person monitoring everything to bring up the camera footage of OT #5 on the third floor.
"Give me OT #5!" he ordered.
"But sir its not allowed to -"
"Don't give me this 'not allowed' sh*t! I know what allowed and not allowed are!" Rathore said and the person opened the footage.
He saw closely and looked the scene. Arjun and Riya were taken to the same OT, separated by a curtain.
It was horrible.
Arjun's body bleeding a massive amount of blood and at the other side of the curtain, Riya, lying nearly lifeless.
Soon the doctor put a cloth on his body and asked for a tool, the other doctor passed it to him and he put the small cut around the place where the bullet was shot, Rathore closed his eyes and the doctor inserted a tool inside, looking at the nearby machine which showed him where the bullet was, the doctor held the bullet inside his body in the tool. Then slowly and steadily took the tool out, with the bullet. The bullet was out but suddenly Arjun started breathing hard. His face moved up and down as if he was struggling to breath and the doctor looked at the monitor.
"Nurse! SPO2 is decreasing!" the doctor said and Rathore gasped.
He didn't understand what SPO2 meant, "what's this SPO2?" he asked the guard.
"I don't know." The guard said and Rathore went out in frustration.
He found a nurse roaming around and got hold of her, "what's SPO2?!" he asked.
Seeing Rathore so worried she asked, "What happened?"
"Just answer me!" he ordered and the nurse got nervous.
"Its oxygen level, the-the blood oxygen, I-it should be 95 to 100 for an average adult or at least above 90 so-" she started to dictate everything she knew but Rathore left after knowing what it meant.
He again went to the camera room and saw an oxygen mask on his face, the nurse told him right. And now his breathings were normal, at least it looked like it was.
On the other hand, the other side of the room, behind those curtains, was Riya, she too was fighting for her life and the doctors were surrounding her looking at her heart monitor and checking her pulses every time.
Soon after few hours of hard work by the doctors they were shifted to the ICU.

Rathore looked at both of them. Once again in this hospital, but now Arjun accompanying her too. But as he looked at him instantly, he saw him twitch. Rathore's eyes shone with happiness.
It's been a week, they were here but they were not in conscious. But now Arjun was.
As Rathore looked close in the ICU room, he saw Arjun's expressions change suddenly as if he was having a nightmare.
Just then Arjun got up startled, screaming, "RIYA!!" and panted heavily. He looked here and there but due to the wall he couldn't see Riya, she was in the adjacent room.
Rathore looked at Mr. Rawte who didn't even leave the hospital since they came. Mr. Rawte looked at him and Rathore signaled him, "he is awake." And Mr. Rawte jumped into his feet and went inside.
Arjun looked at the many wires attached to his body, he was shirtless and many rounded tape type things attached to a wire, to regularly check his breathing and heart, was sticking on his chest. He took one out, and threw it away. He did the same with the other one as well, and just then he saw his father enter.
Mr. Rawte came inside and saw what Arjun was doing, "Arjun! What are you doing!?" he asked.
"Dad?" Arjun looked closely, his vision became a bit blurry, "dad."
"Yes, beta." Mr. Rawte said but Arjun snatched away another rounded tape away, the machine attached to it, started beeping madly. Mr. Rawte looked at it and then at Arjun, he snatched it away. "Arjun what the hell are you doing!!" Mr. Rawte said and Arjun struggled to get another one out.
"Dad, I – I want to- meet-" Arjun said as his body didn't support him anymore. He stayed on the bed, holding the bed, in order to support himself and get up.
"No, Arjun, you are weak." He said and tried to stop him.
"Dad, Riya! I – need- to-ah dad!" he again tried to make him understand but Mr. Rawte called for doctor.
The doctor came and saw Arjun struggling to get up.
"Your highness, you can not get up right now. Your wounds are still healing. Don't push your body into doing something." Doctor said but Arjun didn't bother.
Sighing, doctor took out an injection, gestured the nurse to hold his hands steady, and gave him a shot.
Soon Arjun's eyes seemed to drop and he went into deep slumber.
"He was pushing himself to stand up, when his body is not at all ready. I had no choice but to give him sleeping pills." He said to Mr. Rawte and his eyes got moistened. "He would wake up in few hours." Doctor said and kept an understanding hand on his shoulder. Rathore too looked everything from the door and sighed in sadness.

After this incident Mr. Rawte stayed inside the room, after few hours, Arjun again tried to open his eyes, it seemed as if he was in pain. Mr. Rawte called the doctor. He came and examined Arjun.
As Arjun got up, first thing he asked was for her. "Doctor! Where is she?!"
"She is fine, she is here, your highness." Doctor said but Arjun could see the lie in his eyes.
"Truth! I want the truth!" Arjun said knowing something was kept hidden from him.
"She lost her memory." The doc said looking down. "She had partial amnesia. She just remembers the first few weeks of your marriage."
"What?!" Arjun said not believing the doctor. "But how, she - "
"I told you, your highness, she has a delicate state of mind and in this state she, seeing a brutal murder, couldn't cope up from it. She forgot everything that happened in the past few weeks. She just remembers her marriage with you and few more weeks after that." The doctor explained, "but- but you don't worry, she is going to be all fine, once she gets into her routine of daily life, she will have no issues with her daily routine." Doctor explained as he saw Arjun staring at him as is he would eat him.
"What about her memories in this course of time!!" Arjun said remembering their sweet moments, the cake party, the teasing, and their union. Soon Arjun's mind reeled because of the sedatives and he tried to get up again but became paralyzed by the pain in his leg.

"No, don't exert yourself, your wounds would start to bleed again!" saying so doctor reminded Mr. Rawte and Rathore, how badly he bled while operating him and that they needed to stop the bleeding in order to save his life.
The doctor again took the injection in his hands, seeing it Arjun warned, "one more time! One more time you give me that shot and I swear when I woke up, I will kill you!" the doctor got scared and looked at Rathore.
Rathore came forth and stood beside him, "Rawte, you need rest."
"No, I need Riya! I want to see her! Is it so complicated to understand a simple thing!?!" Arjun said and the doctor indicated his heartbeat that kept on increasing.
"Okay, you can meet her." doctor said in order to ease his accelerating heart.
"Yes!" Arjun said and again started to get up.
But Rathore stopped him and said, "Arjun, before meeting her, let me tell you something." He said and looked at him, Arjun too looked and knew, some bad new was going to come, "she is in very delicate situation. When she came into conscious, she didn't recognize where she was and why was she in a hospital, then she saw the name, Solapur. She again became confused. The doctors examined her and took a test, she told them she just remembers few days of your wedding. Doctors said that it would not be good for her mental state to know what exactly happened. So to make her comfortable we made a story." He looked at Arjun and Arjun nodded, "we told her that one day you got a call that your dad is unwell, so you were taking her to Mr. Rawte when the car lost its balance and you both had an accident. In which you got severely injured and she went into coma due to shock. That is why she doesn't remember few days of her life and the accident and now after so many days she has came to her senses again." Rathore said making him understand and Arjun nodded telling him he will take care of it.
Arjun wanted to get up for the umpteenth time now, Rathore saw this and came forward, he took his hand on his shoulder to support him, when Arjun said, "Rathore, I am not so weak. And I am not even dead that you are taking me to your shoulders." Arjun said playfully but Rathore got angry.
He slightly pushed him saying, "its not funny!"
"Ah!" Arjun acted as if hurt and Rathore again came to him.
"I am sorry!" he said quickly and Arjun smiled.
Down below Rathore knew Arjun was doing it all to make them believe that he was fine. But he knew his friend was far away from being fine.

Arjun then limped slowly towards her room, he refused to take any help. He was told by Rathore that Riya too came to conscious just two days back and met all of them. He was happy in his heart hearing when Rathore told him that Riya too asked for him, if he was fine and they told her that they survived a major accident and were doing good.
Arjun saw the door of her room and through the glass he could see her sleeping peacefully. He twisted the doorknob and entered quietly.
Riya was not sleeping she was just lying there hearing the humming voice of nature. But she opened her eyes hearing something open. As soon as she saw Arjun entering, she flinched and moved back on her bed, scared from him. Arjun looked at her and remembered what doc said, "I told you, your highness, she has a delicate state of mind and in this state she, seeing a brutal murder, couldn't cope up from it. She forgot everything that happened in the past few weeks. She just remembers her marriage with you and few more weeks after that."
As Arjun took a step forward, Riya moved more into the bed. Suddenly her brain remembered the incident and she jumped away from the bed. Arjun remembered how she used to sleep on couch and was scared of bed.
Arjun realized she remembered the dark side of him. But not the side of a lover.
Arjun felt his breath die in his lungs when she called him, "sir – s-sir. Don't hurt me, I- I - wont say a word! An-and wont even t-touch your things!" and literally begged.
Seeing him she forgot that they were in the hospital, not in his house. Arjun's heart got a pang of guilt and pain. His hands itched to touch hers and he wanted to kiss her and tell her everything will be okay. But he noticed as he was taking his steps forward, she was moving more into the wall, as if it would move back by her force.
When Riya was busy moving back, she saw him limp forward, she looked at him and then at his leg, he too was wearing hospital suit, a pair of pajamas and shirt. She could make out the thick bandage on his leg that was now paining him. That is why he was limping. She thought and went forward and held him, giving him support. As she held him by his waist she felt a bandage there too. She made him sit and seeing the care for himself in her eyes, Arjun forgot everything, every pain. Every broken nerve of his body craved for her love. To be under her gaze, just like this.
She couldn't help the curiosity in her, she opened the last three buttons of his shirt and saw the wide-fat bandage, and it had a small patch of redness on the side. Blood! Oh no! She gasped.
"Is it paining?!" she asked innocently.
Arjun saw her eyes moistened and said, "now, its not paining."
Riya looked at his eyes, so full of love.. But then the crashing memory of his harsh words came into her mind, STAY AWAY FROM ME!! She remembered him shouting and got up and flinched back fearing he would get angry on her touching him.
Arjun saw her as if she remembered something and the next moment she pushed herself away from him.
She sat on the corner of the room with her eyes finally shedding tears as her mind couldn't understand, he had two sides to his love, one that gets extremely caring and so protective that it feels that she would die, and second, that gets so angry on even spotting her in front of him that she feels he would kill her!
What was the real side to him? What was the real side of his love? His anger or his care.

Arjun saw Riya crying and he again limped towards her. She held her knees to her chest and went more into the corner, fearing him.
Arjun loathed himself for doing this to her.
"Riya." He took her name with so much love that her heart broke into pieces. She looked up from her knees.
He came to her and sat down on the floor, ignoring the pleas of his hurt leg.
"Riya, -" he said and she looked at him, Arjun knew he wont be able to console her. What would he say? That whatever he did was to save her? And save her from whom? He remembered Rathore saying they lied to her and it was best to not tell her the truth, so what will he ever say to her? how will he ever justify his acts to her?
Arjun closed his eyes, as he had nothing to say to her, except to hope, she might read it in his eyes. That he loved her, more than anything, more than everything combined.
He than quickly got up and held her up too, in his arms. Riya widened her eyes in fear but then she realized, "sir- sir your wound- " she said.
"Its okay." He said and walked her to the bed.
Then she felt the bed underneath her, she again remembered the beast in him, but then she felt something tickling. He pulled the blanket on her and limped out not even having a back glance.

PRECAP:
"ARJUUNN!!!" Riya screamed as she ran out of her room. Rathore and Shree looked at Riya running towards them, and soon she opened the door and went inside Arjun's room.
The doctor was done changing the dressing of his wounds and she ran to him and hugged him on the bed.
"Arjun!!" she said as she hugged him and he too threw his arms on her.
"I –I – had a – nightmare! I saw someone- he- was- he was kissing me!" Riya said not seeing the doctor, all she could see was Arjun, and knew if he was here, nothing can happen to her.
The doctor looked at Arjun and gestured him through eyes, this-is-what-I-was-talking-about-that-time.
Just then Riya looked at his newly bandaged wounds and wondered, "If I lost my memory in the accident then why I don't have any injuries?" Riya asked looking at Arjun's injuries.
This surprised everyone, Rathore, Shree and Chotu too came in.
"Why did Arjun have so many injuries and I have none!" she looked at Arjun, "just some scratches!" she said as she held her shoulders.
Everyone were shocked at this, they dint know what to answer. It was not the scratches by accident it was by Sikandar.
