Okay time for my next update so pls bear with me...
Chapter 5: engaging surprises

it was the day of the engagement.everyone had mixed emotions about it.

raj was happy because he was getting engaged but confused about rey and taani. well he trusted taani but you can never trust a heart because you never know when and what it will tell you.yet he consoled himself thinking that if taani didnt love him she would tell him and if rey loved taani why would he be their wedding planner?

rey was obviously extremely upset it was like his heart was breaking more and more and he had to be person who plans how to break his own heart but taani's smile was enough to give him just a little more strength to get him through the day.

taani was the most confused. she knew that she liked... i mean loved raj then why was she so upset when rey is with simran but could not give a damn when simran was with raj.i mean it is not like she did not try to get angry when raj talked to simran. she tried but failed miserably. How could she tell anyone that her smile was just a mask to hide her confusion from everyone especially her bhai. This time no amount of bollywood films could give her a solution.

Swayam was really upset that his baby sister was going away from him even though raj lived 15 minutes away from him he was still going to miss her filminess, her fear of all thing creepy and crawly and her never ending desire to go shopping. he took all precautions necessary to keep her from getting married. he never let her have boyfriends, scared away all guys who were interested in her and believe me there were alot. he even tried to convince her to make a vow to never get married but if she was happy he had to be happy. besides there was always sharon and the new addition to his family to keep him company.

Sharon was torn into half. she knew how much rey loved taani by the way he looks at her and it pained her terribly to see him like this. but she had no choice because she loved taani equally and she wanted to see her happy too. But she noticed recently how taani hated simran being with rey and it made her wonder if she was jealous but she shrugged the thought off and decided that overthinking was bad for her baby.


It was time for the engagement and taani came down in a beautiful saree with a few girls. but taani was hands down the most beautiful thing in the room. rey and raj could not take their eyes of her. rey was in terrible pain while raj was estatic.taani held her hand out while raj put the beautiful diamond ring into her petite finger. now it was taani's turn with a little hesitation she inserted the ring into raj's finger. everyone cheered while rey looked away as he did so he saw simran running away. he followed her. taani noticed this and felt a jab at her heart but forced herself to smile.

Scene shift to rey and simran
rey: what are you doing here? and why are you crying? (they were in a storeroom)
simran:(wiping her tears) i am not crying.
rey: yes you are. now are you gonna tell me why?
Simran hugged him and burst out in tears.
Simran: why did raj do this to me? what was missing in my love? i agree i did not give him enough space and i might have suffocated him a little but i apologized and i love him so much then why?
rey: hey relax..wait did you say you LOVE him so much...meaning you still do.
Simran: yes i do love him. I was using you to make him jealous.
rey: what ?( in his mind: thank god)
simran: but he is clearly unnaffected. i guess he really loves her... but i still need to show him that i have forgotten him.will you help me?
rey: help? i dont think i can help you break up my friend's marriage.
Simran : no i would never dream of it! taani was my friend before i found out about raj and her. and i would never want anything bad to happen to her. But i just want to show raj that if he can move on i can too. so will you help me ?
Rey: in that case i guess i could. what do you want me to do?
simran: just pretend to be my boyfriend.
rey: WHAT!!! no way..
Simran : i mean you dont have to be my boyfriend just some harmless flirting will do the trick.
Rey: oh like that.. okay i will.
simran : thanks.. i really appreciate it.
rey: no problem. what are friends for?
Simran: yay we are friends now. lets make it official.( extending her hand) mujse dosti karoge?
rey: (laughing) you have spent too much time with taani and why not? (shook her hand) now lets go if not they will think that something is going on between us.
Simran: well that is the main idea.
Rey:good point.
With that they go back to the heartbreaking engagement.
