Chapter-22

" aap mujhe princess mat bulayiyae …[the little doll screamed from inside ] chaahat aapko nahi dekhna chahte … I HATE YOU, DAD….. CHAAHAT HATES YOU….. mujhe nahi dekhna …. Aur mammah chaahat aapse bhi naraz hu…. Aapne chaahat ko kyu nahi bataya…. Kyu hum is aadmi k saath reh rahe ho??[he shut his eyes hard] mujhe yahan nahi rehna … mammah promise karo mujhe ki that we will not stay here …. Chaahat ko yahan nahi rehna ….." she screamed from inside…..

he could not bear it any more without uttering a word he walked slowly away from the scene … she stood completely helpless… she didn't know what to do she sat on her knees in front of the door sobbing badly….

He stopped the car and got out. he was so tried after full day of work… he pressed the calling bell . the servant came and open the door "kaka…Sharon kahan hai "

"wo bitiya chote baba k saath khel rahe hai" the old man smiled and left.. he loosened his tie and walked towards the room and opened the door. "sshhh" she kept her fingers on her lips and signaled him to be quiet hearing the shrieking sound of the door… he turned to look at what was happening and saw his baby sleeping by her side …. He went near them "so my champ slept before giving paapa his daily kiss huhh" he sat by his babys side and was about to caress his face when Sharon held his hand " no!!! see how dirty your hands are!![he frowned and looked at his palm …] Go and get fresh and don't touch my baby before that" he smirked at his angry wife and went to the washroom … " come down after this , I will get our food ready" she said in a slow voice

They had their dinner and some sweet talks and after that swayam went to switch on the tv for watching the news. Before he could take the remote she grabbed it .

"Sharon remote mujhe de do …." He tried to grab the remote from her

"no swayam I want to see this program " Sharon said playfully as she moved back and switched the tv to her fav show

"no I want to see the news … tum program baad mein dekh lena now give me the remote.." he leaned over her .. but she hid the remote at her back..

Swayam pulled her towards him in a swift movement and she came crashing on his chest…she was lost in his eyes while he snaked his arm over hers to her back and slowly removed the remote from her grip still looking into her eyes …she was lost in him … he changed the channel still looking into her eyes

Aaj k sabse taaza khabar….dance master and choreographer Reyaansh singhania k NAAJAYAZ BETI… CHAAHAT….

The voice of the news reader pulled them away from their trance…. Both turned to the tv….

A girl of 5 crying badly standing in the middle of the crowd ….

Swayam walked towards the TV Sharon rubbed her palm in fear seeing chaahat in that condition … her breath was turning erratic…. "chaahat aisi haalath mein" she said to herself , moving closer to the TV.. Soon the scene changed and Rey was shown roaring at the crowd " YESSS ITS TRUEE !!! CHAAHAT MERI BETI HAI … I AM HER BIOLOGICAL FATHER….. "rey advanced forwards with taani sobbing badly

Swayam dropped the remote from his hand as he stood frozen in front of the tv … the scene flashed again showing taani sobbing badly holding chaahat close to her…

"TAANI!!!..REY K SAATH !! USKI BETI???!!!!" he stood still at the same position… it was like his blood was freezed all off a sudden…..

" chaahat aur Taani rey k saath , n she didn't tell me…" Sharon said to herself still looking at the tv screen. He turned to her all off a sudden … his eyes burning in fury . she realized what she said a second before … she could not say anything … his looks were burning her " WHAT DID U SAY NOW??" he barked

" swayam voh… voh.." she didn't know what to say she was not getting any words … she turned back not having the strength to face him " I asked you something Sharon…. " he pulled her by her upper arm and made her face him " tum janti thi ??? HUHHH??? TUM JANTI THI????" he roared … she shut her eyes "ha..… " she said in a feeble voice …. THAP came a slap direct on her cheeks … for the first time in all these years… he never used to hurt her , never… neither through his deeds, words nor physically , while the reverse happened many times and every single time he faced them with a smile…but today, today it was not on something that was just about them , it was something beyond that and he simply couldn't subside his hurt within himself ….. today he was out of his patience level and she knew it … he was hurt badly hurt….

"you didn't feel that its important to tell me… huhhh? "

"hasi aa raha hai mujhe mere kismat pe[he brushed his hair in frustration]… I was searching madly for my sister every where mumbai , jodhpur , delhi everywhere … every where …5 years ….it has been 5 years now… I spent day and night searching for my sister…. abi bhi yaad hai mujhe vo din when we found that she was missing… dad, mom ,daadi sab k sab pareshan … I didn't know what to do ….i had lost my baby sis[his eyes welled with tears]… you were there then [he pulled her towards him , gritting his teeth] n you knew where she was but you didn't feel its important to tell me ….[she faced down ]…kyu Sharon why did you do this to me???[he tightened his fist in despair]… a cheat dumped my sister n I didn't knew [his face fumed in anger]my sis had a baby n I didn't knew [his eyes welled with affection , frustration, anguish]…. My sis was struggling for a living, hearing taunts and I didn't knew BUT BUT meri WIFE [he gritted his teeth in anger]janti thi …sab janti thi … he looked at her , his face reflected hatred …. He walked in haste towards the stairs

"swayam … swayam.. listen to me.." she ran behind him, but he gave least noticed and barged into the bed room

"swayam … swayam , I said .. listen to me swayam … ek baar bat toh sunno…" she pulled him to face her

" now what are you trying to …. Ohh apna best friend ka case defend kar rahi ho!!!" he said with a sarcastic smile

" tumhe kya laga , mein tumare peeche paagal hu toh jo tum kahogi man jayega?? Huhhh?? "He pressed her on her upper arm harshly making her moan in pain "NO!!! baat meri behen ki [he pushed her back and she fell onto the bed… he opened the cupboard in haste and pulled out some clothes and dumped it into a bag "tumhari behen meri bhi kuch lagti hai swayam" she said expecting him to turn and look at her

"ohhh [he made his way towards her]so that's why … that's why you made her suffer these 5 years huhh??"he asked killing her with his looks …. She looked at his deep eyes , her hazel ones were now welled in pain and tears " mein??? You think so swayam … you think ki I left her alone to suffer??? … no swayam , I stood by her whenever she needed ,[she started walking] I did all what I could do... supported her whenever she was in need, I was with her during chaahats birth, in fact it was me who saw chaahat first , even before her [ she smiled remembering chaahats face, in between her sobs ] , I wanted to tell you ,but I didn't tell you only because … because she didn't want that to happen[she turned to face swayam]… she didn't want you to hate rey… she didn't want to destroy your friendship… she didn't want you to hate him coz of what he had done to her [he shut his eyes hard suppressing his grief in himself]….she went and placed her palm on his shoulders … "even I hate him now swayam and don't think that I didn't tell you to help him… no swayam …"

He opened his eyes "ek baar mujhe bata deti Sharon….you knew how worried I was for her…" she cupped his face " I am sorry swayam ..i had promised her " he pulled her hands down from his face " now I wont let that cheat to destroy her life further …[his eyes reflected hatred ]… I wont let my sis or her baby to suffer any more …, I wont let this continue any further…. I… I am going to bring her here … I wont let her spent a day more with that cheat…. Ha " he grabbed the bag.. " swayam , I am also coming.." Sharon said from behind " no you stay here it will be difficult with rehaan "

" no swayam .. taani will need me .. 1 minute please .. "she grabbed a bag and put her and rehaan's things into it and took rehan in her arms and they moved out

" u didn't sleep" he asked

Rey:"how can I sleep taani…"

Usko chaahat pasand nahi hai na,isliye unohne mamma ko chod diya….. she feels that her father doesn't like her and that's why he left her mom…

"but taani, we cant tell her the truth .. she is too small for that.."

"ha but we can make her understand how much her father loves her…"

"but now she doesn't even like to see me .. then how will we …"

" hum koshish toh kar sakte ho na…rey??" she held his palm in assurance

"you will be with me na taani??"

" ha… hamesha" ... their eyes assured each other that everything will get fine...
