So finally she is feeling something 4 arnav. The only prob is...she doesnt knows it yet lolz. But soon she will;)

Chapter 10- Act of Imagination

17th December 2011

Yeah...So to continue from where I left off.

After changing in to something comfortable, I walked down into the kitchen.

Arnav was preparing a sandwich and Aakash was as usual stirring his coffee in a grumpy mood while talking in a low voice with Arnav.

"Good Morning Aakash." I said in a soft voice waiting for him to lash out on Me due to last nights
drinking stunt.

"Good Morning Khushi...How are You feeling now?" He said while caressing my hair.

Okay. This was easy to crack.

"Errmmm...I am fine. Just a bit of a head ache. I guess I will not be attending college today.You Guys proceed." I said while plopping into the chair next to Aakash on the table.

"I am not going to college too. There has to be someone to take care of You." Arnav said while placing the plate of sandwich in front of Me.

"OK then...I will just proceed to the college.Take Care." Aakash said while drinking the last sip of his coffee and walking towards the main door.

I watched silently while Arnav was working on another sandwich keeping his head down.

I noticed how well built and super-fit My Best Friend actually is.

The way his broad shoulders which supported that handsome face and perfect hair.

Eyes which could drown anyone in them, a perfect nose and an awesome smile.

*SNAP*SNAP*

Arnav chuckled loudly while snapping his fingers in front of my face bringing Me back to the present time.

"Yeah..I know that I am handsome... Don't make it too obvious, Happiness.", Arnav teased while his beautiful eyes twinkled.

Oh NO...Was I looking at My Best Friend in that sort of way??

Gross.

Arnav is My best Friend and Arnav does not think of Me in that way.

We shall just be Best Friends.

"Khushi... What is wrong with You??" Arnav snapped his fingers again, this time with concern.

"Nu-uh...Nothing. My head is aching a bit." I replied while taking a bite of my sandwich.

"Oh...Had a bad night of sleep?" Arnav said while tucking the loose strands of hair behind my ears.

"No...I had some very weird dream last night." I confessed.

"About what?" Arnav said dropping his sandwich on his plate.

"I dreamt that You were confessing your Love for Me." I said taking another bite and not quiet meeting his eyes.

Arnav's eyes had turned wide and He swallowed hard, clearing his throat before asking, "What was your answer to Me... In your dream?"

"I don't remember... I think I fell asleep or
something." I replied.

"That was an interesting... Half dream." Arnav
replied while keeping his hand on Mine.

The contact of his hand on mine made a sudden shudder pass through my spine.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?

1] I am fantasizing about Arnav.

2] I am dreaming about Arnav.

3] I am shuddering due to Arnav's touch.

"Khushi...Why are You spacing out so much today?" Arnav questioned while waving his hand in front of my eyes.

"Uh... I am in a bit of a daze and there is a slight head ache." I said while rubbing my forehead.

"Okay...So I think a long nap is what You need." Arnav said pushing Me towards the bed room.

"Yeah... But what about You? You skipped college because of Me." I said while lying down on the bed.

"I am just going to pop around to My house, have a shower, get changed and return back with something which will make sure Your headache vanishes." Arnav said while covering Me with a duvet and pulling the curtains, "And You make sure that by the time I come back You dont move an inch from this bed..Ok?"

I gave a small smile while nodding my head obediently.

Oops...Someone is ringing my door bell.

It cant be Arnav...because He just left and moreover He has the house keys.

It must be Lav or Payal.

I am in a very foul mood today.

It was NK on the door.

I opened the door and there He was standing looking all perfect with his breathtaking smile in place.

"My Princess... I got You some homemade soup...Mom sent it for You." NK said producing a covered bowl from a bag, "It will make You feel better."

"Aww...How thoughtful of You..." I cooed while taking the bowl from his hand.

"Anything for My Princess." NK said flicking the tip of my nose and entering the house.

NK plopped down on the couch and picked up the photo frame kept on the side table.

The photo was of Arnav and Me, eating ice cream on the beach.

Arnav had intentionally smothered ice cream on
My nose and Aakash had clicked that picture instantly.

I loved it not because It was Arnav and Mine but because of the way Arnav was laughing and
crinkling his eyes.

"Arnav and You are very close, Right?" NK said examining the frame.

"VERY. We are Best Friends." I said plopping down next to NK.

"Hmm... Only Best Friends?" NK questioned making it sound more like a statement.

"Yeah...Arnav is the only Guy who qualifies to be My Best Friend." I stated.

"You consider Arnav to be the only Guy who will protect You.?" NK questioned curiously.

Why is NK projecting questions regarding Arnav?

"I have no idea... But I just know that Arnav will never let Me face any danger...He will be my wall of support forever." I confirmed, "For example, Yesterday He was the one who brought Me Home in my drunk state. I can trust Him with My life."

"Hmm...You are Right." NK said thoughtfully,
"The Party reminds Me, that You ditched Me at the party yesterday..Where were You??"

"I know..I am terribly Sorry...Its just that I drank something, it went to my head and then Arnav brought Me Home...Sorry." I blabbered nervously.

"OK...I forgive You But You will have to make it up to Me." NK said smiling widely.

"Anything..Just ask."

"Go on a Date with Me." NK said shrugging his shoulders.

"Date?"

"Yeah...A proper date...Officially." NK stated.

NK MEHRA IS ASKING ME OUT ON A DATE!!!

"YES!" I exclaimed a little too over enthusiastically.

NK grinned widely and hugged Me," Thank You Khushi...I am very happy."

Just on cue, The front door opened and Arnav walked in carrying chocolates in one hand and a Movie DVD in the other.

He stood rooted to the spot when He saw NK and I hugging each other.

I immediately stepped back and said,"Hey Arnie..."

Damn. Very Awkward.

"What is going on here?" Arnav said raising his eyebrows.

"NK came to visit Me." I said praying silently that the Best Friend in Arnav should not wake up.

"OK...So what's with the enthusiastic hugging?" Arnav said while setting down the chocolates and the DVD on the coffee table.

"I am taking Khushi out on a Date." NK squealed and looked at Me.

Instantly, Arnav's face turned towards Me ad his eyes turned sad.

Oh No...Over Protective Best Friend Mode Alert!

"Oh...A Date with Khushi...Hope You have a nice time." Arnav chuckled and smiled.

"I am sure We will have an excellent time." NK said smiling at Me.

*Yawn*

I guess the whole day and the excitement of the date has taken a toll on my mind and I should stop writing.
