That's it. I thing I am over excited, or nervous, but whatever the reasons might be, I was up the whole night, pacing all over my room, and ended up staring at the screen, yet again. To divert my mind from these goosebumps and somersaults, I re-read the previous one for a good number of times and thought what would be next. So here, early in the morning, a small thanks gift to all the people over here for supporting me not only with the stories, but aslo in my personal note.

MIDNIGHT'S MUSINGS...

She climbed down the staircase along with her friends. Her smile lit the room further brighter. Windows were wide opened, letting the natural ventilation sank into the room as much as possible. Just the way she liked any room to be. Flowers were arranged in a limited yet elegant way. Flowers of her choice… She smiled a little, as she shook her head negatively to whatever her friends had been talking to her. Her cheeks turned to the deepest of crimson color. Her body hugged the saree in deep green, almost wrapping the nature in it, with a golden boarder that represented an unknown flower. Gold that merged with green… treasure in nature. It was further complimented by her jhumkas and a necklace, embodied with diamonds. Those tiny white diamonds that flicker when the light fell on it. A reflection of her soul. Bangles adored her wrists, with her anklets adding a background score to her musical form. A rhythm to his own heart as he watched her from a distance. She was happy and content. But he knew, she was nervous. Nervous to come down where everyone had been waiting for her to join them – to join him.

She walked up to him in a slow pace and he extended his hand to her, silently asking her to be with him in his life, asking her to let him lead her throughout their existence. And watched her hesitance for a moment. She raised her hand, but held it midway, clasping and unclasping lightly for several seconds. Her eyes travelled from her left to right with her head lowered. But he could see those mesmerizing eyes moving in tension. In hesitance. Of course she would be, he knew her throughout his life. She had accepted him the way he was – on that midnight in those fields. They sat together, just in the way they were since childhood. She had leaned onto him, resting her head on his shoulder – an act that she developed when she was a kid, whenever she was in dilemma. It was a subconscious act. And he never saw her with anyone to be in that way in his life. Not even with her father. She had a special place for him in her heart, he understood, and realized on that moment under rain, that place could never be replaced by anyone. Not even the person she loved with her heart.

He sighed, staring at her face, searching any sign of regret in her eyes. But they were down, on the ground, still unclasping her fingers. His mind went back to the moment when she had said that she loved someone, and not him. His heart had been shattered on that day. He was hurt. Deeply. With the fact that she was not his. With the fact that she hide it near him. But soon, that thought vanished from his mind, as he remembered that he had kept, hidden his love for her. He had no right to question her for it. But why she decided this, he had a clear idea. He understood her well to guess her reasons behind this.

And she placed her hand in his, almost magically. As if she heard his heart's talks if that was possible. He knew, at that moment, she didn't place her hand just because everyone watching them. She answered his questions. He looked at her, as she now raised her head with a smile, staring back into his eyes. Her almost black eyes met his molten eyes. And he felt that emotion washed his senses. Hope. May be, his heart whispered to him as he led her to the middle of the room, where their parents had been waiting for them, just maybe, she might love him back someday. Just in the same way he loved her. He let out a chuckle while the ring slide from his hand, onto her ring finger. They were always bride and groom in all the games that they played together in their childhood. Dreams to come true. His dream to have her came true. Her innocent dream to want him as her groom at her age of 5, came true. Unknowingly, they weaved their dreams together ever since then. And now, all those midnight musings that they had throughout their lives, stared back, as she slide the ring onto his finger, which rested peacefully on its deserved position.

"Tell me it's not a dream, Khushi," he whispered to her, unable to control himself anymore, for which she smiled at him, the way he liked to see on her lips, and nodded before whispering back, "if it is a dream, Arnav, please let me sleep forever…"

Will try to have Khushi's view point in continuation of this...
