They walked down the street, talking, laughing. Khushi was being the true Khushi. The old Khushi. She told him about her life, Her school days, her college, university but left out the boyfriend best friend chapter. She knew ASR had heard enough of emotional drama. And seeing his expression when he told him about the deeds of her father, it was better to keep it silent. Soon they reach a place. The Rammer Jammers! Some kind of bar. Informal with a friendly atmosphere. It had an extravagant dcor, but the interior still looked good. As Khushi entered, she was amazed by the interior. She felt entering in a bar as in cowboy movies. It was crowded. In a corner there were a group of guys playing billiard. Another side some young ladies were gossiping and laughing. Far away Khushi could noticed a group of oldies singing and dancing. They were having a karaoke competition. She never thought of ASR bringing her to such place. The ASR is much more to be a guy to go to chic places, pubs where he could hook up with some models. She was perplexed that ASR even knew the Rammer Jammers. ASR lead her to the bar counter and helped her climb on the stool. He sat next to Khushi.

ASR: Bartender! 1 Beer and a soft drink for the lady.

Bartender: Right away!

Khushi: Excuse me! Forget the soft drink! Make it two beers!

And she smiled to the bartender. Puzzled! ASR looked at Khushi in disbelief.

Bartender: Ok Mme!

Khushi throw a wicked smile to ASR.

Khushi: What?

ASR: Nothing I'm just wondering if in case I took the wrong person. Are you sure your name is Khushi Gupta? Or you kidnapped her and took her place as you were so dying to be by my side.. I know I have that effect on you girls. And he smirked

And khushi smiled at him.

The bartender handed the beers to them. ASR eyes were on Khushi wondering if she would truly drink it or it was just to tease him that she ordered a beer for herself. But he got a shock when Khushi closed her eyes and drank the whole thing in a gulp.

ASR: Khushi slow down! You are not used to that!

Khushi put down the beer mug on the counter. She knew the reactions of ASR and she was having so much fun on reading his expressions.

Khushi: Thanks ASR! I just loved this place. Its so jovial. I feel light-hearted.

ASR: Oh god Khushi, if you say thanks again, I'm gona be angry.

Khushi: Ok Ok.. Sorry.. Don't spoil your mood.

ASR looked at her once again but angrily.

Khushi: Ok Ok.. No more thanks and sorrys. Happy Now?

ASR: Better!

Khushi: I need to use the wash room. I'll just be back.

Khushi went to the washroom while ASR ordered another beer for him. Thinking about Khushi, he was smiling to himself. Suddenly he heard a voice! Khushi's voice!

Everyone clapped for Khushi. ASR could not stopped himself and hugged Khushi. There were tears but tears of happiness. One of the oldies came to them. He was an old man with some funny outfits.

Oldie: Hey Young man! This young beautiful lady sang for you. I think its your turn.

Khushi was excited from the request of the old man. She looked at ASR with her intense eyes.

ASR: Well I'd love to, but I'm a bad singer.

Oldie: Oh come on big boy! It's the feelings which make the words and voice beautiful.

And the old man turned away giving Khushi and ASR some space.

Khushi: Please please ASR. I want to hear you sing!

ASR: Feel so bad to refuse you my dear but if I sing everyone will run away.

Khushi: Oh really! Ok then! Take it as a challenge, if you sing I'll do anything you say.

ASR: Nice try khushi! But I'm not giving in!

Khushi looked at him! Irritated! But seconds later she got an idea!

Khushi: Fine! As you wish! Afterall its just a song. Its not like you never lost a challenge before.

Khushi was not surprised when ASR gets off the stool in a hurry. And she laughed out loud to herself. ASR took the mike.

As the song ended, Khushi was happy and amazed with the voice of ASR. Everyone clapped! ASR smiled at Khushi.

ASR: It's a challenge Khush! Remember, you owe me one!

And he winked at her. Surprisingly she was not startled with his attitude. She got used to it by now! and she smiled back.

That night was the best night Khushi ever got. She was happy. She was living and all this because of ASR. They left the bar. They got into a taxi. Khushi was tired and she laid her head on his shoulder. When reaching the hostel they were staying, Khushi was asleep. ASR took her in his arms and carried her to her room. He tucked her into bed, turned off the lights and turned back to sleeping beauty.

ASR: Tomorrow is a tough day Khushi. Sleep Well! Good Night

He kissed her forehead and got out of her room.
