Chapter 4|Be my date

After a long tiring but a fun filled day Arnav and Khushi walked down the single road leading to her castle of a house. They both had returned to the train station from where they had departed, and after getting into the car Arnav drove her home and then offered to go on the five minute walk from the main street to the Villa.

Both walked side by side in the summer evening as the light wind caressed their bodies giving a strange feel of calm and relief.

"So this is where you live"

He said looking at the lush greenery that surrounded the incredibly huge but a beautiful house. He spoke casually as his hands remained in his pants' pockets, and the top two buttons of his shirt undone.

"Yes this is where I live"

She said sighing inwardly as she kicked a stone in her way.

"What's so tragic about living here?"

He asked smiling as he heard her sigh heavily.

"Nothing tragic'its just'its just that its too damn big"

He had to give credit to her for this one.

Too damn big?

He mentally laughed.

"I mean its beautiful and all and I don't want to sound whinny but its just that for three people it is a bit too much"

She spoke casually before Arnav misinterpreted her to be a whinny little obnoxious spoiled brat, or if he started laughing at her again.

"well that's true"

He spoke truthfully.

"Oh well"

She didn't want to ruin her mood by over thinking about things she had no control on.

"But hey! It's a very beautiful house"

He said smiling, a smile that reached his eyes.

"Thanks"

She said tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

"I think I'm going to go now"

"wana come in for coffee?"

She was expectant.

"em no not today'some other time"

He really did want to spend more time with her, she was a fun person to talk to and definitely not a spoiled rich brat, but he had just met her yesterday and today they had spent the entire day together. He wanted to move step by step.

"promise"

He didn't want to be the reason for her disappointment.

"Okay"

She smiled and bidding their goodbyes they called off the night, walking in opposite directions.

For the next few days both got busy with their own routine, their busy schedules didn't allow them to have any spare time hence they didn't go to the caf nor met each other.

Khushi got busy with her father's business parties and mother's social gatherings. Arnav had been working with his team on an international deal and had finally signed it.

Arnav had wished to retire from the office by 6 at the max, but the work load had kept him busy, not letting him step outside the office before 12.

Even though Khushi had been attending events she didn't want to, her mind had been somewhere else and she had wished she was somewhere else at the moment, with a certain someone.

Finally after three whole days, after finalizing the deal Arnav took a sigh of relief and left the office early for once.

He sat in his SUV and loosening his tie he opened his top two buttons of his light ink colored cotton shirt.

He smiled as he entered the caf hoping to see her but not finding her anywhere he quietly went and sat at his usual spot.

The waiter stood with a raised eyebrow. No he wasn't shocked today, this had to happen, these were the side affects, but this man who always had that im-too-cool-to-smile attitude was smiling like a goof ball today.

Love definitely had its affects! And it was nothing less than a disease.

He touched his ears and shook his head asking the Almighty to never victimize him with such a contagious disease.

Arnav continued to play with his laptop pretending he was doing some important work when really he was only playing solitaire with his utmost attention, keeping an eye on the door as he checked who the customer was every now and then from the corner of his eye.

Two hours passed by but she didn't show up.

Revenge I see.

He smiled mischievously.

Two hours forty minutes.

He heard the chime as the door opened and she stepped in.

He quickly diverted his attention back to solitaire which he was failing miserably at, lest she caught him red handed staring at her.

She walked in absentmindedly with a serious expression and ordered her coffee and she turned around to find him "working" on his laptop with a funny expression.

Actor.

She shook her head smiling and walked to his table.

"Are you waiting for someone?"

She asked in mock innocence.

"No I'm just working'can't you see?"

"Playing solitaire for two hours and forty minutes'how amusing"

She folded her hands.

He stared at her while thinking of a comeback, at the same time wondering how she had found out.

He looked at waiter and gave him the look.

You are not getting your tip today.

He mentally threatened.

Closing the laptop shut he sighed.

"I was just working on some reports"

He said looking here and there, trying to win a lost battle.

"of course"

He just smiled. He had been caught.

The two started their endless chatter, tinkles of laughter could be heard by the other occupants and some genuine smiles were exchanged.

"I have to go this party this coming Sunday"

"its actually our college reunion'we have it every year"

"Oh'I have to go to a party too"

She couldn't care less about her mother's social gatherings.

He chuckled at her horrifying expression.

"So anyway'would you like to come with me"

She opened her mouth and crunched her eyebrows

"Did I not just tell you I have a party to go to?"

She asked gesturing with her hands

"What? Can't you just skip it?"

She narrowed her eyes, speechless in its truest sense.

"Its not every day that you get to go on a date with Arnav Singh Raizada you know"

He said with a certain glint in his eyes.

Her jaw slightly dropped and her heart started to thud.

He cheeks turned red and she bit her lower lip in embarrassment.

From the outside she tried to act normal and think of a way to convince him, but from the inside she was jumping with joy and thinking of plans to sneak out.

This came out as a surprise. The first time im reading an upate without being pm-ed. was just cleaning up the bookmarks when i found this, and a spiritual being sent this meassage saying "go, have a look at this one". Here i am. Done reading the lovely chapter. And very happy to know i am one of the first very few, probably/hopefully the second, to comment. Hope to have an update sooner than you expect ;) would be amazing for us.
