:) Sorry for the tardiness.
Jumping into the story.
When Arnavji smirked and asked "was that an order my wife?" and Khushi's prompt reply "..so yes, it is!", it was heartwarming. The bantering was that of a husband and wife whose mutual love and respect was well-understood by each other. It gave the notion, albeit gently, that Arnav was still very much ASR, the man who took his own decisions according to his own will in his own sweet time.
When Arnav walked back to his Di to complain ofKhushi's long face and how Anjali cupped his face, and proceeded to threaten to gang up on him with his wife, there is no room left for doubt about the vibrant continuance of what is almost a miraculously beautiful brother-sister relationsip despite the brother having found a soul-mate who was enough for everything.
Arnav keeps racking up the points ;)
So does Anjali, with how she not only accepted, but loves the reason for her Chotey's happiness, i.e Khushi. Their comfort with each other is soemthing one would wish to find in real life. :)
I have to say, your descriptions are downright charming at times, :D as in the following paragraph ".. used to her sis-in-law, Anjali grinned...Khushi scrunched up her nose at the teasing...Face blanching as she realised...". And the words are always apt, perfectly fitting the situation.
:D Now to NK. What a delight. You keep the men real men don't you? :) I loved how you went from the easygoing and boyish demeanor with his "Ladies, I am back!" to the quite interesting transformation into a "you-might- want-to-not-mess-with-me" man with the "assessing look and grim half-smile" that would have done his Nannav proud.
The paragraph that folloes, with NK eliciting the shouts of laughter so eaily makes the reader smile fondly and believe that he was indeed a man very much missed by his relatives.
Back to Khushi-Arnav. From Arnav's "Bloody hell" and Khushi''s mock reprove followed by the giggle she couldn't contain..to "Arnav being ridiculously pleased to have his wife to himself and all that entails were exactly what one wants to see in their encounters.
It was sweet how Arnav decided to not take the chance of his wife working needlessly and at the same time the situation was comical considering how Arnav was nearly certain that he was being led along by his wife in another one of his her mad plans.
Can't end the comment without duly noting that it makes one break out in laughter at the sincerity with which Khushi screamed when she would rather have jumped up and down with glee.
Finally, it was a very promising end that Dhruv was the first to move.
All in all yet another wonderful chapter.
