The Proposal (A Maaneet FF) Part 2 Teaser 11.01

Naini: Geet's friend from college. Naini is very modest by nature and also bubbly. Geet and Naini were quite close in college but lost touch when Naini moved back home after completing her degree.

Part One

To the untrained eye, Geet may have looked confident and cool but inside she was feeling anything but those two things. She was wearing a pin-striped halter neck dress that framed her petite upper body well and flared at the hips. Her hair was up in a messy 'do. She wore big sunglasses; this was to hide the signs of her many sleepless nights in recent days. ''You can do this; you've practiced what to say. Just stay calm and remember why you're here,'' she told herself. She then proceeded towards the farmhouse putting one foot in front of the other.

Geet said hello to all the Uncles and Aunties in the house, and after enquiring about their health etc. Made her way to the upstairs bedroom where the bride-to-be was. She took a deep breath and said, ''knock knock'' even though the door was open. Everyone looked in her direction, and one particular person, Naini, was ecstatic to see her. She quickly got up from where she was sitting. They both hugged each other; the joy of seeing each other after ages, evident to everyone around. Once they broke their hug, Naini was the first to speak, ''Maine to socha that tu nahi aane wali Geet. Kitna busy rehti ho apne kaam mein? Tu nahi aati to main tujhse zindagi bhar baat nahi karti.'' 'Typical hindi dialogues bolne wali Naini' Geet thought in her mind but did not dare to say this out loud. ''Teri shaadi ho aur main nahi aau? Aisa kabhi ho sakta hai, jhalli!'' Geet finally said. Geet was shown to her room and once inside she thought 'aati kaise nahi.. Geet kya ho gaya tha tujhe? 5 minutes iske saath rahi nahi, kit tu bhi hindi dialogues bakne lagi,' and flopped on the bed.
