PART—10

Although there is no new case,they have to work late night on previous cases. In whole day, riya & arjun never have to face one another.arjun was busy with rathore & riya on her work.around 11 pm, rathore called off a day.so everybody start to leave for home.but riya hesitate to leave with arjun for home because of the previous incidents.shree see the hesitation in riya's face.

Shree: what's now,ri? All is well?

Riya:hmm… but..now how can I face arjun sir… u know I did silly things…

Shree:yes,u r right.ok.don't go home with him today!but how long u can hide from him?!& I think he already forgot the note things.

Riya:it's not about note…I also ruin his files.

Shree:yar,forget everything.it's just a mistake.now,mrs.arjun'khadus' rawte ,go home.

Riya:shree…..

Shree;ok baba,mrs.arjun suryakant rawte!

Two friend exchange a sweet smile.just then arjun come there.

Arjun: riya..r u finished?

Riya:yes sir.

Arjun:ok,then.let's go home.

Arjun start the car & riya join him.they reach home around 12am.arjun park the car at garage while riya start to go to their home.just then riya feel something… may be someone in the garden side.she goes there to check the matter.someone behind the plants.she is about to attack then the man turn to her.it's ganguly uncle!

Riya:oh! God…uncle u? I thought some thief.

G.uncle:no,dear.it's just me.

Riya: what r u doing here at this hours?where's aunty?

G.uncle:she is in the room. Hmm… I am here to collect flower for her.

Riya: oh ho!any special occasion?

G.uncle:yes,today is our 53 wedding anniversary.

Riya:what!wow!congratulation.

G.uncle:thank u,beta.but just congratulation isn't enough.u two hav to come to the party…actually it's just a small get together.

Riya:ok,done! Uncle,did u always give flower to aunty?

G.uncle:at every anniversary,I came here at night & pick some flower for her…never miss this rotine to follow in that 53 years.even ur aunty follows some rotine…she plays piano at night…with softness.silent night & soft piano tune…always refreshing.although she plays the same tune from our 1^st anniversary…

Riya:wow!how romantic! Uncle,u two just amazing!is ur marriage a 'love marriage'?

G.uncle:of course!but first marriage then love!

Ganguly uncle already picked some roses for aunty.then he & riya start to go inside.riya then go for her room.arjun already entered.so when riya enter the room he put on a question mark on his face for her late entry.

Riya:bo… sir, I was talking with uncle in the garden.

Arjun doesn't say anything & goes to his room.

After changing riya goes to the hall.arjun is still working on his laptop in the hall. Riya goes to the kitchen & make a cup of tea.then she take it to arjun.

Riya[in sweet low voice]:sir?

Arjun look at riya after hearing her call.she is wearing a white dress.stand up like a shaking statue with a cup of tea in one hand.

Arjun:yes,riya?

Riya: actually… I … I made a cup of tea for u.will u take it?!

Arjun give forward his hand to take the cup.but riya didn't give him it,yet.

Arjun makes a question marks on his face for her this behave.

Just then riya put her left hand on her left ear[on another hand,she had the cup of tea].

Riya: sorry sir…really very sorry for ruining ur files…I never…

Arjun:it's ok,riya.

Riya: so,u forgive me?!

Arjun:hmm..

Riya[with her sweet simle];thank u, sir!

Then she run from there towards her room.it's now 1:45 am,but she can't sleep.just a strange feelings in her heart……she can feel it but can't catch it.just then a tune enter in her ear.slowly playing…it's from aunty's room.amazingly organized,soft,melodic tune of piano.riya wake up from bed & goes to the balcony.there are a bunch of soft,sweet wind start to playing with the tree leaves.it's also start to play with riya's hair.riya take a deep breath & close her eyes… feel the tune by heart.Just then arjun enter in her rooms for some work may be..he sees her& goes toward her.put a hand on her shoulder.riya opens her eyes& turn to arjun.they just lost into one another eyes.they start to speak silently.

Riya indicate the tune of piano&nuture.arjun make a face'so what?'then riya rise her hand to indicate couple dance.arjun get it & smile.make a face like'me?dancing?r u mad?'then he makes his tipycal angry face & start to leave.riya's face colour fade away.just then arjun turns & pulled her towards him.he placed his one hand on riya's waist&make riya to put hand on his shoulder.their other hands locked into one another's.they start to dance slowly with the rhythm of tune...with an unmet expectation.there is just a soft,enchanting laugh on their face…

Just then arjun break the silence..& call for riya loudly enough.

Arjun:riya!...riya?

Just then riya come back into reality. Arjun is also with her in the balcony with a worried face.

Arjun;what's the matter?r u ok?i was calling u from so long from the door…even I knocked hardly.but u seems to be another world!any problem?

& riya can understand that it was just her short live 'mostly impossible' dream…

Riya:no,sir…I was just walking here.did u need anything?

Arjun;not really.i just saw that ur light isn't off yet…so…

Riya:I don't feel sleepy tonight…that's why still awake.

Arjun:don't skip sleep.then may be in future sleep will skip u.

Good night.

Riya:good night sir.

Arjun left.riya smilingly hit her head by her hand & says 'riya,pagol hoye gali naki?[r u gone mad?]ki sob chinta korchish[what r u thinking?]'

[NEXT MORNING]

Riya open her eyes in the early morning…but something is different.it is the light,it was still like other day,but it is clearer somehow.she feels so happy,& don't know yet,why!?she makes their breakfast after being ready for office.arjun & she take it tighter.then start to leave for work like another day.in the parking lot arjun remember that he forgot some files to take.so riya offered him to take out the car from garage & meanwhile she'll bring these files from home.

Riya enter into arjun's room & takes files from the table.just then she see the previous files that she ruin a little bit that night.it's roshni arjun rawte's case file! Now she get it why arjun react badly that night.

She goes to the car & gives these files to arjun.arjun start the car.riya is watching outside view throughtout the journey & thinking something on her own.

About two things she was absolutely positive…

First,arjun loves only roshni & may be there is no hope for a place in his heart for her[riya] like her[roshni].

& second, she is unconditionally and selfishly in love with him……
