Who would have thought that a serial like IPKKND (Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon) which has a huge fan base will end abruptly leaving millions of fans in tears?

Story of IPKKND

IPKKND has a very simple story of a guy Arnav (Barun Sobti) and a lady Khushi (Sanaya Irani) getting married on a contract basis and becoming a real couple after falling into love.

The story revolves around Barun and Sanaya's family getting involved into the lives of the love birds Arnav & Khushi and how they succeed to be successful both in their contract marriage and real marriage.

Why is IPPKND so successful?

Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon (IPKKND) is one such serial which had a lot of twists and turns every day. The households who were eagerly waiting to watch this serial doesn't have any clue until the telecast. That's probably the biggest reason for success.

The second reason could be because of the romance between the lead actors Arnav Singh Raizada (Barun Sobti) and Khushi Kumari Gupta (Sanaya Irani). The lead pair shared so many different variations of emotions from the beginning including love, romance, angry, hatred, fun so on and so forth.

Why is IPKKND ending?

It was clear that the show IPKKND ended because of the lead actor Barun Sobti leaving the show since Barun was getting movie offers from both Bollywood and Punjabi movies.

It is very common to replace characters in serials since the actors / actresses leave the show for various reasons. But in this case Barun and Sanaya's onscreen chemistry made it impossible for replacement.

In fact, Viraf Phiroz Patel was assigned to do Barun's role but that also didn't work.

What is the fan's reaction?

We could clearly sense that the fans are very much disappointed for the abrupt ending. The fan's wished that this serial could go for a long time with a happy ending.

Even after when the rumors were out that IPPKND is ending, the one thing they wanted was a happy ending but not abrupt ending.

Remember the serial Navya with the onscreen pair Anant (Shaheer Sheikh) and Navya (Soumya Seth) was ended in an unplanned manner but at least with a happy ending.

What is next for IPKKND fans?

We hope that Barun Sobti and Sanaya Irani will pair in a new show very soon and hopefully it could be even be IPPKND 2 but it is very unlikely.

Remember the couple Maan Singh Khurana (Gurmeet Chudhary) and Geet (Dhrasti Dhami) from Geet Hui Sabse Parayi who made it a very successful onscreen couple still did very well with Gurmeet from Punar Vivah and Dhami from Madhubala.
