Here's the interpretation for Part 50

This part is based on the theme "In Pursuit".

The Sangeet Ceremony of Akash and Payal is going on. The entire Haveli, Omkar, though old is decorated fit for a Royal Wedding. It is filled with the men, women and children in colorful traditional attire, flowers, laughter, tinkling of payals, bangles, music, dance and of course the lovely aroma of special dishes whiffing through.

Aarti for the first time is witnessing these with the love stimulated eyes and is seeing it very differently. She feels it a sort of dream ...all made her feel as though she had entered a world of dreams where good things happen, only good things happen...

"All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them" ~ Walt Disney

The stage was occupied by Mami and Buaji dancing to the tune of Halkat Jawani which was evoking laughter, claps, whistles, comments in excitement, making Aarti smile.

"A smile is the light in your window that tells others that there is a caring, sharing person inside" ~ Denis Waitley

For a person who has been schooled to be just a workaholic by her father to make up for the disappointment of being born as a daughter, the revelry was extremely enjoyable, even though she was unable to get over her inhibitions to join in the festivities.

Being assured of her mother's well being from a quick call to her Gopi Kaka, she started to observe all the people around her. Kushi had introduced her to most. As her eyes traversed, she saw Baba withdrawing himself from all the noise, Chotu describing all the happenings to Simi who was unable to see, Nidhi with a laddoo, Akanksha and Akshaya laughing, Riyu on Akshaya's lap playing with her bangles, Vivek chatting with Akash, it came to rest on the Golden yellow kurta clad Her Sunflower who had a worried frown. He was saying something to Arnav Singh Raizada, who with an amused look straightened NK's clothes. It made her look at his Mehendi design on her palm and close her fist unconsciously, as not to let it go.

"Sun, silence, and happiness."

~ Nancy Mitford, The Pursuit of Love

Her eyes glided to the beautiful Bride and her Groom, engrossed in each other.

"Romance in the midst of cacophony..."

All these brought a smile in her.

"If you smile when no one else is around, you really mean it" ~ Andy Rooney

She has started to connect herself with all that is going on around her in Her Sunflower's World. Her eyes started to search Kushi who was the heart and soul of the entire clan gathered and the festivities . She had been busy catering to various things and wasn't to be found. Then she saw her coming out of her room dressed up.

"She looked beautiful, glamorous, a perfect match for the debonair Arnav Singh Raizada"

The minute she entered, she saw Arnav Singh Raizada turn and walk towards his wife forgetting the surroundings. Their eyes were talking and Aarti could see the smile and the blush creeping up on Kushi's cheeks.

"The smile on your face lets me know that you need me, there's a truth in your heart that says you'll never leave me, and the touch of your hand says you'll catch me whenever I fall"

~ Allison Krauss

It was a very private moment which Aarti felt not to be intruded upon.

It was then she heard Anjali announcing as to find out who the next performer was and the light got dimmed and a voice was heard saying,

"Baalika Tumhare Sapno Ka Raajkumar, Aa Raha Hai...

Varmala Doli Baarat Sajake Dulha, Cha Raha Hai...
Shubhmangal Savadhan..."

And lo! There was Her Sunflower all decked as Bridegroom, with a palanquin carried by the children dancing behind him. He was looking straight into her eyes and pointing towards his turban. He was dancing to a wedding song all the time wooing her, pursuing her.

"The best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or even heard, but must be felt with the heart" ~ Helen Keller

Other than them, only Kushi was aware what was going on. The rest took it in jest and were enjoying the frolic and fun. Payal and Akash smiled at each other and Arnav Singh Raizada started to enjoy the antics of his brother onstage and of his wife in his arms. NK's antics withstanding the glares sent out by Aarti, had everyone in frenzy and mad with excitement! As the dance continued she saw

"The curtains of the palanquin parted, and Nidhi, the gap-toothed, laddoo lover, jumped out. Dressed in bridal dress, with a varmala in her hands, she looked more than cute."

Nidhi ran to NK and garlanded him and he carried her in his arms and started dancing. All the children on stage joined him and the crowd went uproarious.

"The crowd went mad, shouting and cheering them on. Aarti watched as Arnav Singh Raizada and Akash Singh Raizada laugh out aloud, their love for and pride in their brother evident to the world. Mami had tears of pride in her eyes as she swayed in time to the music, her bangles and hip chain keeping time with the music. Nani was laughing, and Anjali was clapping her hands, a loud, proud smile on her face. Khushiji had tears of joy in her eyes, and Payal was thrilled to bits."

"Tears of joy are like the summer rain drops pierced by sunbeams" ~Hosea Ballou

It was a moment to behold. She could see the Raizada Parivar at its best.

"The pain of being alone is completely out of this world, isn't it? I don't know why, but I understand your feelings so much, it actually hurts. " ~ Masashi Kishimoto Naruto

The way the Raizada clan clung together, rejoiced together, made Aarti realize the lonely existence of her family or what was left of it and made her turn away.

"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams" ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

NK has been relentless In Pursuit of Love.

Kushi In Pursuit of Match-making.

Is Aarti ready to follow NK In Pursuit of their dreams?

PICK OF THE DAY

"The curtains of the palanquin parted, and Nidhi, the gap-toothed, laddoo lover, jumped out. Dressed in bridal dress, with a var mala in her hands, she looked more than cute.

Kar Diya Hai Tune Mujhko Yun Bekaraar Maahi,
Keh Diya Duniya Se Main Teri Main Teri Ho Gayi Re...

She ran to NK, who bent down so that she could place the garland around his neck.

Tere Naal Mein Aavaangi, Sasooral Mein Jaavaangi...

NK lifted little Nidhi up in his arms, and danced, circling around and around, laughing. The children danced in a circle around them.

Hey, Tenu Leke Main Javanga, Dil Deke Main Javanga...
Hey Ya...Hey Ya...

The crowd went mad, shouting and cheering them on. Aarti watched as Arnav Singh Raizada and Akash Singh Raizada laughed out aloud, their love for and pride in their brother evident to the world.

"Close knit family and friends contribute to our personal growth. They also contribute to our personal pleasure, making the music sound sweeter, the wine taste richer, the laughter ring louder because they are there" ~ Judith Viorst

Here we see the entire gathering In Pursuit of fun, frolic and enjoyment.

Along with the Raizadas' hope you too had fun!

Reading this of course!! 😊

I did have fun relentlessly reading your Part 50 and interpreting it!!!😉

Thank u, Rashmi, for being my friend. And for finding my writing interesting enough to comment on it.

She looked around. The entire place looked magical. Omkar was an old haveli with 4 buildings, all constructed many years back. The elegant lines of the old buildings, the lights strung across every surface, the music, the masti, the gleeful children in colourful clothes, the ladies in rich sarees and jewels, the laughter, the flowers strung across the entire area, the fragrance of food being cooked for the feast, the men in sherwani, looking like princes...all made her feel as though she had entered a world of dreams where good things happen, only good things happen...

The sound of applause brought her back to her senses. She quickly called Gopi Kakka to check on her mother in the gap between two performances.

This is the reality of Aarti.

A keen observor, always standing out and looking in, without an ounce of self-pity.

Smita, Isn't it true that she turns away coz she knows her reality is very different from Raizada's?
That quote of Masashi Kishimoto from the Maanga (cartoon) series Naruto, said by Naruto in it is apt isn't it?

There is no self pity, just realization!
