8 months later:
It was two weeks till Kripa was going to deliver her first baby. Naina and Simmone had arranged a baby shower for her. That evening, all the guests had gathered up in Khanna house, including the Sharma family. Kripa had invited Angili and Kavya as well. They had arrived soon. Once everyone was there, they function started. Angad and Kripa were sitting in the middle of the room with the women around them, going up and giving them blessings and the men sitting either in the other room or on the sofas and chairs.
As the afternoon went on, so did the function.
Everyone was so happy for Angad and Kripa.
Soon the function ended and all the guests gradually went home.
Kripa was feeling tired so Angad helped her up the stairs.


In Angad and Kripa's bedroom:
When Angad and Kripa to their bedroom, he carefully walked her to the bed. Kripa's stomach had grown. He laid Kripa onto the bed and went on the other side of the bed, next to her.
Angad put his arms around Kripa and kissed her forehead.
They both started playing with each others fingers. As they did this, a curious question ran through Kripa's mind - a question that neither she nor Angad had ever discussed.
Kripa: "Angad…if we have a baby girl, what shall we name her?"
Angad: "Hmmm, I've never thought of that."
Kripa lifted her head off Angad's chest.
Kripa (quite confused): "Why's that?"
Angad: "Well, I've always thought of boy's names. I want a boy first."
Kripa: "Yeah, I don't mind that – boys are cute."
Angad: "Ahem ahem, what do you mean by that?"
Kripa (laughing): "Shut up Angad, it's our baby I'm talking about."
Angad: "Yeah that's alright then…hmmm but what would we name her if she was a girl?"
Kripa: "I was thinking of the name-"
Before Kripa could say the name, there was a knock on their bedroom door.
Angad got up from the bed and opened the door.
It was Naina.
Naina: "Angad, Dilip told me to let you know to wake up early tomorrow. There is an important meeting you have to attend to."
Angad: "O.k. mum, thanks for letting me know."
Naina: "O.k. beta, good night."
Once Naina had gone, Angad locked the bedroom door behind him.
He got back into the bed with Kripa beside him.
Angad: "So where were we?"
Kripa (yarning): "I don't know…I'm tired."
Angad: "Please don't say you're going to sleep again."
Kripa (closing her eyes): "No I aint…I'm just…"
Before Angad could say anything, Kripa was fast asleep. But he understood that she was tired and at this stage of her pregnancy, she would have been exhausted.


2 weeks later:
One day when Angad came back from the office, he went straight upstairs to Kripa, as he knew that any one of these days; she could be having her baby.
When Angad got to their bedroom, he saw Kripa lying on the bed. He walked up to her and sat beside her.
Angad (putting his head on Kripa's lap): "How was your day today? Did the baby annoy you?"
Angad started to laugh.
Kripa (laughing): "no, she's been well today."
Angad: "You mean 'he's' been well'."
Kripa: "No…I meant 'she's been well."
Angad: "Kripa, it's going to be a boy, just watch."
Kripa: "No Angad, it's going to be a girl."
Angad: "Boy."
Kripa: "Girl."
Angad and Kripa got into a little argument about what the baby was going to be.
All of a sudden, Kripa stopped and quickly grabbed onto Angad's arm as tightly as she could.
Angad (worried): "Kripa, what happen?"
Kripa: "Angad…my water just broke."
