Amma nearly ran to the door when there was a sharp knock on it.
Her anxiety kept increasing with every passing second.
Buaji: Slow down Garima! Otherwise the handle will break..
The moment amma opened the door & saw ArShi,her anxiety vanished.
Khushi,who was in Arnav's arms,looked a bit embarassed,a bit shy & very happy.
Amma didnt fail to notice her smudged sindoor.
On the other hand,Arnav was as cool & confident as ever!
The smile on his lips told amma that he had resolved all his issues with Khushi.
She was certain that he would not stop talking to Khushi from the next day.
Buaji's voice interrupted amma's chain of thoughts.
Buaji: Aye Garima! For how long will u keep staring like this? Nandkisore has been standing with Parmeswari in his arms since sucha long time. Let them come inside..
Amma: Yes.. come bitwa..
Khushi: Did babuji go to sleep?
Amma: Yes. Since he was tired..

Arnav reluctantly agrees.
Buaji: Everyone go to sleep now. We need to get up early tomorrow morning. We havnt even packed the luggage yet.
Arnav: Whats the plan for tomorrow?
Khushi: I'd thought of going to Jammu. But u told Amanji to book a 5 star hotel in Srinagar..
Arnav: Booking can b cancelled anytime.Not a problem! I'll ask him to book a hotel in Jammu.

The first thing which Arnav did after lying on his matress was reaching out for Khushi,who was sleeping on his left.
He held her hand for a moment before bringing it to his mouth to kiss it.
He covered the back of her hand & her palm with several kisses.
Khushi's bangles jingled which made Khushi extra conscious & embarassed.
She wordlessly took Arnav's hand & kept it on her bangles.
Khushi(thinks): Arnavji must have understood that I want him to remove my bangles.
To her shock & disbelief,instead of removing her bangles Arnav started playing with them,pushing them up & down her wrist,liking the sound they made everytime he touched them.
Khushi(thinks): What is Arnavji doing?!
She kept her left hand firmly on Arnav's hand to stop him.
Arnav: What?
Khushi(even more shocked): Ssshhh!!
Arnav(whispered): Oops! Sorry! What happened?
Khushi(whispers): What r u doing? I wanted u to remove the bangles since they were making noise! U started playing with them & they're making even more noise now!
Arnav(whispers): Y do u want to remove them? Leave them on ur wrists! (touching her bangles) They look good on ur wrists!
Khushi(whispers): And what about the jingling sound they're making?
Arnav(whispers): Let them jingle! (sighs)I was waiting since the last 5 days to hear this sound!
Khushi(whispers): U're not the only one having ears over here! Have some shame.. What if Buaji & amma hear the sound?
Before Arnav could answer..
Buaji: R eyes & ears r closed,Sanka devi! Dont u worry!
Amma giggled a bit.
Khushi gave her trademark shocked expression first & glared at Arnav next.

With the help of the light tat was coming from under the window,Arnav saw Khushi glaring at him.
He mouthed sorry.
Khushi moved his hand away & was about to remove her bangles when Arnav stopped her by firmly gripping her wrists.
A small gasp escaped Khushi's lips & Arnav immediately loosened his grip.
Then he gently removed her bangles from both her wrists,one at a time.
Khushi pointed to her pillow & Arnav kept her bangles on the floor,slightly away from her pillow.
Then he turned to his left and propped himself on his elbow.
Khushi put her finger on her mouth & glared at him.
Arnav nodded to assure her that he would not make noise.
Khushi stopped glaring and released a long breath.
No sooner did Arnav hold her wrist,than her breath got hitched once more.
Starting from her wrist to her upper arm,Arnav planted numerous kisses on her arm.
Khushi closed her eyes & revelled in the sensations that his warm lips generated on his cold arm.
When Arnav kissed her shoulder,Khushi opened her eyes.
She looked at Arnav & shook her head.
Arnav placed his hand over her eyes & forced them shut.
Then he proceeded to finish his task.
He covered her shoulder with gentle kisses.
But when he reached the crook of her neck & shoulder,he couldnt resist himself.
Khushi caught her lower lip between her teeth,anticipating her husband's next move.
Arnav felt the goosebumps that were sprouting on Khushi's arm as he nuzzled the area & planted open mouthed kisses on it.

She gently patted Arnav's shoulder.

Khushi(whispers): Dont ask questions! Just do as I say!
Arnav(whispers): Buaji is sleeping next to u..
Khushi(whispers): So what? She wont eat u up! Come this side!
Arnav did what he was told,without knowing the purpose of the whole exercise.
The moment he turned to his right,towards Khushi,Khushi surprised him by turning to her left & hugging him.
Arnav(whispers): What r u doing?U must lie down on ur back..
Khushi(whispers): I know that. I'd been sleeping on my back since the last few days. But tonight u're here. And we both know this fact quite well that despite being so close to each physically,we wont b able to sleep! So I thought y not sleep in the same position in which we sleep in Shantivan?
Arnav(whispers): But Khushi..
Khushi(whispers): No buts!My right foot is injured,not my left foot!
Arnav(whispers): What if u get a baitaa on ur left one?
Khushi(whispers): U're here naa?! U take care of it! Come on,now pull me closer to urself,like u do in Shantivan.
Arnav smiled & put his arms around her,pulling her closer.
They both sighed at once.
Khushi(whispers): Now go to sleep.. Goodnight!
Arnav kissed the top of her head before wishing her goodnight.
Very soon Khushi drifted off to sleep.

When Arnav woke up the next morning,he found Khushi in the same position as the previous night.
He smiled & ran a hand through her silky hair.
Then he realized something & turned to his left.
Much to his delight,he did not find buaji,amma & babuji in the room.
Arnav(thinks): They must hav gone to hav tea.
He glanced at the door,which was fully closed.
And then he glanced at his sleeping wife.
Arnav(thinks): Should I wake Khushi up or should I let her sleep?
He decided not to wake her up,much against his own wishes.
Arnav(thinks): Bcoz of chatting with me over the phone, Khushi couldnt sleep well during the first 3 nights. Last night we slept late. She needs rest..
He planted a lingering kiss on the top of her head.
Khushi shifted slightly & looked at him.
Khushi: U woke up?
Arnav(surprised): U're awake? Since when?
Khushi: Since the last.. 5 minutes or so..
Arnav: Y didnt u wake me up?
Khushi: Coz u were very tired last night.. So I thought I'll let u sleep for some more time.
Arnav smiled as kissed her forehead.
Arnav: Goodmorning!
Khushi(smiles): Goodmorning!Now leave my waist. I need to go & brush my teeth..
Arnav let go of her waist.
Khushi sat up & stretched her arms.
Arnav also sat up.
Khushi found him looking at her intently ith a naughty smile on his lips.
Khushi(warns): No!
Arnav came & sat right in front of her.
Arnav: Y not?
Khushi: Areh! What if amma,babuji & buaji come back?
Arnav(cups her face): We'll see what to do when they come back!
Khushi(pushes him away): No! Did u forget what happened last night? It was good that babuji had gone off to sleep much earlier. Had he heard the sound of my bangles..
She shook her head.
Arnav: Relax Khushi! Just one kiss! Then I'll let u go!
Khushi: Absolutely not! U'll start with a kiss & then very soon u'll.. cross ur limits! And if they come back while we're.. we wont get time to compose ourselves!
She was about to get up when Arnav stopped her.
Arnav: Ok fine! We can surely hug?
Khushi(reluctantly): Ok..
He opened his arms & Khushi hugged him,resting her head on his chest.
Barely a few seconds later,she lifted her head & squirmed.
Khushi: Arnavji.. my hair got stuck in ur button..

While he was untangling her hair,Arnav's eyes fell on Khushi's cheek.He kissed it.
Khushi closed her eyes when he did so.
When she felt that he was about to kiss her lips,she opened her eyes.
Khushi(warns): Bas! (enough)
Arnav smirks before pecking her lips.
Arnav: Train!
Khushi(confused): Ji!?
Arnav kissed her other cheek & replied: Car
Khushi (rolls her eyes): Humara matlab tha Hindi wala bas..
Arnav(kisses her nose): Truck
Khushi: Arnavji.. I said bas!
Arnav(kisses her parting): Ship
He was about to kiss her lips when Khushi hit his lips with her palm.
Arnav: What the!?
Khushi: Cycle!
Arnav held her hand before kissing her lips.
Arnav: Motorcycle..
Khushi hit his mouth with the other hand.
Khushi: Rickshaw!
Arnav held that hand before kissing her lips.

He nibbled her lower lip without waiting for her.

Arnav: There's no mode of transport having my name! Now that u've done a foul u will get punished!
He left her hands,cupped her face & claimed her lips,all within 2 seconds.
Khushi closed her eyes & held his shoulders for support.
A few seconds later they heard the sound of footsteps outside the door.
Khushi pushed Arnav away & tried to free her hair from the button.
Arnav(whispers): Relax!
Before Khushi could say anything they heard the sound of the latch.
Khushi managed to free her hair & while she was trying to get up she pulled her left leg's muscle.
Khushi(wails): Aaahh!
Arnav: Khushi!
Amma & buaji(entering the room): What happened?
Khushi: Baitaa...!
Arnav helped her sit down.
Arnav: What was the need to get up so fast? Straighten ur legs..
Khushi: I'll do whatever u say bt plz dont scold me! Aah!
Arnav: I'll take care of it..
Khushi: Make it alright fast,Arnavji! Its paining like hell!
Arnav: Wait..
Khushi(hisses): Aah!
Amma: Khusi,ur babuji has gone to bring drsahab over here. U wait bitiya, I'll call him.
Khushi: Ji.
Amma: Come jiji..
Buaji: Y me?
Amma: Come naa! We'll b back soon, bitwa.
Arnav nodded.
After coming out of the room..
Buaji: Sanka devi becomes a small child in Arnav babuas presence! Her foot was in bad shape two days back but she was quite back then. And look at her now!
Amma: I knew it jiji! Everytime Khusi said she was fine,I knew she wasnt fine. She was in pain. But she didnt want us to worry for her,hence she pretended to b fine. (smiles) Its only Arnav bitwa, in front of whom,she need not pretend anything! She can share everything with Bitwa! She knows that she can share all her worries,joys n sorrows with him!
Buaji: U're right,Nandkisore!Sanka devi pretends to b strong in r presence. She doesnt hesitate to show her weaknesses in front of Arnav babua.
Amma: Arnav bitwa takes such good care of r Khusi! Isnt it jiji!
Buaji(nods): He is saaksaat Nandkisore!

Arnav: How is she,doctor?
Dr. There's nothing to worry,Mr. Raizada. Khushiji is fine. The other foot will take another 2-3 days to heal completely. Till then she must take her medicines & bandage her foot.
Arnav: But y does the muscle in her left leg get pulled time n again?
Dr: Thats bcoz of weakness.. Whenever that happens, plz apply balm on her foot. She'll feel better. Now plz excuse me..
Arnav wasnt satisfied with his answers so he made a mental note 2 get Khushi treated by the best doctor in Jammu after shifting to the 5 star hotel.

When Arnav turned,he found Murli waiting for him.

Murli: Jai Mata di sahab! Manager sahab is here. U can meet him now.
Arnav: I'll b there in a short while. U combine the bills of my 1 day's stay &.. Guptaji's 5 days' stay. I'll pay the total amount.
Murli: But Khusiji has already paid her bills!
Arnav(confused): When did she pay?
Murli: Yesterday evening..
Arnav: Ok. So keep my bill ready. I'll b there shortly..

When Arnav was about to enter the room,he found Khushi coming out of the bathroom.
He immediately went to her.

The moment she placed her arm around Arnav's waist,he bent down & scooped her in his arms.

Arnav(interrupts): Since we're leaving this place pretty soon,u also shouldnt bother about what they say/think!
That said,he started walking with her towards their room.
Some heads turned upon seeing them, one aunty stared at them with her mouth hanging open while some other people whispered.
Ignoring them all Arnav carried his wife proudly,with his head held high.
Once they were in the room,Arnav put her down gently.
Khushi stood in front of the mirror & removed the towel covering her hair.
Some strands of her wet hair clung to her face.
Arnav's hands itched to tuck those strands behind her ear but he looked away.
Buaji(smiles): Whats the matter Arnav babua?
Arnav: Nothing buaji..
Buaji: Sasi babua,come with me.. I want to visit the temple outside the saraay.
Babuji(getting the hint): Yes didi.Plz come..
Buaji left after closing the door.
Arnav walked upto Khushi who stood transfixed in front of the mirror.

Arnav(tucking her hair behind her ear): So finally u washed ur hair?
Khushi nodded.
Arnav: Great! Bring me ur sindoor. I'll apply it right now.
She walked with unsure steps towards her bag & removed her sindoordani from it.
Then she walked back to Arnav and handed it to him.
Arnav filled her parting with sindoor & then stopped to admire his work.
Arnav: I've applied it in a straight line! See for urself..
Khushi turned towards the mirror.
Arnav(smiles): U've stuck ur bindis on this mirror as well!?
Khushi doesnt say anything.
Arnav hugged her from behind & rested his head on her shoulder.
Arnav: Did I apply the sindoor correctly?
Khushi: hmm.
Arnav: what happened? R u angry?
Khushi: No.. I was.. thinking..

Khushi: I made two promises yesterday. But u didnt make any!
Arnav(confused): Which promise r u talking about?
Khushi looked at his reflection in the mirror before answering.
Khushi: Promise me-u will never do what u did last night!
Arnav: What did I do?
Khushi: U were not speaking to me properly. U were not scolding me. U were swallowing ur anger & telling me that u wont talk to me. Promise me that u wont do any of these again!

Khushi(with a mischievious grin): Train!

Before he could kiss her the door opened & in came amma.
Amma: Jiji,y dont u.. (looks at ArHi) a.. I a..

He left the room as fast as possible.
Khushi didnt know where to go.

But when it didnt,she turned towards the mirror & started combing her hair with her fingers.
