you are talking so much like ekta kapoor's show
if you notice, that in every show of ekta kapoor, the male lead doesn't know about having a kid after he got separated from the female lead. the got minimum 5 years of leap and then having a kid.
it also happened in my favorite show kis desh mein hai meraa dil.
you can also see happening this in bade acche lagte hai.
