Part 23

The clock struck 5 and Arnav starting bandaging Khushi's ring finger. Akash and Payal were also exchanging rings at the same time.

The priest starts to chant,

Om ganaa dhipam
namas kritya,
namas kritya maheshwaram. Dampatyo preeti
siddh yartham,
granthi bandhana karom yaham. Om achala granthe pratishtho bhawa.

With reverence to Ganesh and Lord Shiva, the Consort of Parvati, I make this knot. May it be strong, binding you for life.

"You are still careless like before Khushi, you can never take care of yourself." Arnav said while tying the knot on the bandage securing it.
"No Mr Raizada you are wrong! I can take care of myself perfectly fine, I have been doing it for the years I was alone. I never needed anyone's help and I certainly don't need it now. I allowed to you to tie this bandage because I did not want an argument. But as you see that's not possible." She told him pulling her hand away.
"Khushi..." Arnav started angrily.
"NO Mr Raizada that's enough, I don't want to hear anything. You will listen to me today! Did you ever take a look in the mirror lately? What I see standing in front me is a man despite having all the money in world is a lonely stone hearted monster. I have always told you money does not make you, but its your personality that creates an identity." She interrupted him.
"What the? Khushi do you have any idea how successful I am? I have an identity and that was created on my own." Arnav said proudly.
"No Mr Raizada that identity was created with the help of your family. What I have achieved today was on my own. After you threw me out I worked just so that I could complete my studies and become someone today. I did that on my own, I shed my blood in order to do that. So in actual words I'm more successful that you Mr Raizada." Khushi told him with full attitude and confidence before bolting from his room.

Arnav was shocked beyond words, how dare she talk to me like that? She's the one that betrayed me! Flashbacks of that night still haunt him. If he is a stone hearted monster today then its all because of her. If she didn't sleep with his brother this would have never happened to him. He thinks about how if she remained faithful to him they would have been married and probably had a child now, but she betrayed him.

He wiped his eyes which started flowing with hot tears that stung his face. But that pain was nothing compared to how his heart felt right now. He maybe the monster that she called him today but deep down only he knows how hard it was to forget her even though he believed she betrayed him. There were many times in these years he wished to see her and even thought of looking for her however his pride had stopped him. But what had never stopped was his thoughts. Every minute, every second of the day he thought of her.

"Khushi where have you been? See who's here?" Shyam said as she ran down the stairs towards them trying to hide her tears.

She looked passed Shyam only to see Arjun standing there with a grin on his face.

"Arjun? Is this the time to come? I have been waiting so long." Khushi said pouting as she walked to him.
"Sorry Khushi! You know right I had decided to stay here with you till you go back. But I'm sorry love I can't stay. An emergency has come up at the hospital and I have to leave tonight." Arjun replied sadly as he watched Khushi hurt expression.
"Is everything okay there Arjun? Is Naina okay?" She asked worried.
"Haan jaan she's fine don't worry in fact we have found a donor for her so I'm going up tonight." Arjun said happily.
"That's great news Arjun! Book my ticket I will come up as well. She needs me with her." Khushi said.
"What? No Khushi! Don't be mad. I will manage, its your jiji's wedding you stay back and I'll go." He said cupping her cheeks.

"Oh no we have been talking so much I forgot to introduce you to my Bhai." Khushi said hitting her head.
"No worries princess! He already introduced himself." Shyam said smiling at his sister.
"Haan Khushi, I met Shyam Bhai ,now my cab is outside already, I need to rush to the airport. Please Khushi at any time if you need me please don't hesitate to call." Arjun told her before leaving.

Later That Night

"Bhai I should go now, it is getting really late!" Khushi said walking to her brother. She was really glad that Arnav kept out of her way after their outburst in his room. That however did not stop the quick glances between them.
"Arey Khushi bitiya. Why don't you come home with us today? Its so late already!" Buaji said.
"No thank you, I am fine! I don't need to stay with anyone." Khushi replied sternly.
"Come Sanka Devi, let go off your anger now we are your family." Buaji said touching her shoulder.

Khushi felt herself getting angry, flashbacks of that night came back to hit her.Flashback

"You are dead to me do you hear? I'm glad I'm not your real mother you would have been a disgrace to me. You proved today that you are not my child but just an orphan I picked up out of sympathy. I should have left you at the orphanage instead of adopting you. Look what you did today." Garima yelled shaking Khushi on her bleeding arms.

"Yes, from day 1 I told you Garima, she's a bad luck for us. She proved that today. Thank god Shyam is not here, he would have been so hurt today to know the girl he love more than his own sister is a characterless girl." Buaji yelled slapping Khushi harder than anyone else.

Flashback ends"No, I have no family, I am an orphan, I only have my Bhai and Jiji with me and my name is KHUSHI not Sanka Devi." Khushi said softly as she opened her tearful eyes.
"Khushi Bitiya, please forgive me, I know I have wronged you and don't deserve to be forgiven but I know how hard it was these few years you weren't here. Please come home with us." Buaji pleaded.
"Please stop this, I have had enough. Leave me to live my life. You should have thought about that before you slapped me. Now I don't need anyone's help." Khushi said turning away from everyone and walked to the door.

Next morning

Khushi got up early the next morning since she had to do last minute shopping with her sister, the wedding is just around the corner but Khushi was more stressed than Payal.

"Jiji? Are you sure you have jewellery to go with the mendhi outfit?" Khushi said as they looked at the most exclusive diamond earrings.
"Yes Khushi! Stop worrying so much, the way you are doing like you are marrying." Payal giggled but looking at Khushi's expression she apologised.
"Nahi Jiji, its okay. No one can change fate, what's meant to be is meant to be." Khushi replied fighting back the hot tears in her eyes.
"Okay, let's go now there's a lot to do, and we have less time. And we have to pick a sari for you. " Payal said changing the subject.
"No jiji, I will buy a dress, I wore the sari for your engagement only. I'm not wearing again. My personality has changed" Khushi told her as she walked away.
"No Khushi everything can change, but not your personality. Deep down you are still my Khushi, one day you will snap out of your fake world and come back to reality." Payal thought to herself as she watched her sister.

AK Office

"Rohit? What the hell are you talking about? How can she do that?" Arnav barked at his employee as he slammed his laptop shut and stood up.
"I'm sorry ASR, but she did. We received the court papers today." Rohit said as he looked at his furious boss.
"What the F***? How dare she does that? Does she know she's messing with ASR?" Arnav screamed with fury.
"I don't think she does Sir! What are we going to do now?" Rohit said as he looked at an angry Arnav.
"Rohit get in touch with the best lawyer. Make sure he or she is the best. I will make that B**** pay for what she did. I made the biggest mistake of allowing her in my company. Now I will show her the consequences of messing Arnav Singh Raizada." He said shaking with anger.
"I knew you would say that ASR, so I have already done that. I have researched all the top lawyers and I found 2. They have fought 54 cases combined and never lost one. I also read that criminals fear their interrogation. They have their own practice and have 50 50 shares in the company. The only problem is that they are based in London." Rohit told Arnav.
"I don't care where they are. Fly up there to meet them tonight. Offer them a price they cannot refuse. Tell them we want the one that's the best between them. Make sure you convince one of them to take up the case. Tell them their accommodation, flight tickets and everything will be paid for." Arnav sternly told Rohit.
"Yes ASR I will try my best." Rohit said.
"Not try Rohit! You will do it because your career depends on it. Remember I am funding your university fees. Don't ever forget that." Arnav said.
"No sir I will not forget. Okay ASR I will come back only when I convince one of them to come back with me.

Arnav was left alone in his office after Rohit left. His thoughts went back to the day that he fired Sheetal from his company. He remembered that she did say she will get her revenge from him one day.

Shyam & Anjali House

"What do you mean she escaped? You idiots find her! She can't be gone that far." Shyam yelled on the phone.
"Calm down Mr Shyam, we will find her." Mr Singh (police insp) said.
"Calm down? You expect me to calm down? My sister's life is in danger and you want me to calm down? Find her, I don't care how you do it, but you will." Shyam said furiously.
"Yes Mr Shyam we will find her, just give us 24 hours and we will." Mr singh replied.
"If any harm comes to my sister I swear to god, I will turn this world upside down." Shyam said angrily cutting the call.

Anjali stood by the door shocked after listening to Shyam's conversation.

"You had her kidnapped all these years Shyam? How could you do that?" Anjali said with tears in her eyes.
"Relax Anjali, its not what you are thinking! I..." Shyam replied calmly.
"No, I don't want to hear anything... It doesn't matter what she did, you cannot kidnap someone just like that!" Anjali screamed at her husband.
"ENOUGH Anjali!!!!! You and your brother are the exact replica of each other! You can only jump into conclusion before listening. Why the F*** will I kidnap her? The police's kept her under house arrest for the past few years. It has never happened before where a prisoner escapes house arrest because of the security... But she did and no one knows how. All they know is that a woman helped her escape. They found one constable tied to bed and the other one on the ground with his throat slit." Shyam said.
"Kya? That means she's coming..." Anjali asked terrified to even think.
"Yes Anjali! That means Lavanya Kashyap is coming for Khushi." Shyam said turning pale with fear for his sister.

awesome update !!! so arnav and khushi are engaged to each other unknowingly.. on other hand arnav needs best lawyer and i feel khushi is one of the lawyer who can help arnav.. but was surprised to know that shyam got lavanya house arrest and now she have escaped.. so khushi's life is in danger due to lavanya's escape.. loved the update.. do update soon..

So it's all sheetal n lavanya taking revenge on ARSHI ...now I guess it's khushi they have to hire to get them out of tht rouble created by sheetal...
