A Dark Love

Mayank sank down onto the couch and pulled a comforter over him though it wasn't cold but he was feeling a bit cold might be due to changing weather. He sniffed and closed his eyes to get some sleep although sleep was far away from his eyes but he was pretending to sleep so he could get to escape from those strange feelings which were trying to capture his heart and he didn't let them do that, "Water" .

A plea escaped her lips as she tried to drag her weak body and couldn't, Mayank felt his feet froze at that place and he gulps sending some oxygen to his lungs, I can't'I can't feel weak like this, I'm not a weak person'she is in fever and will get sleep soon, I don't need to show any sympathy towards her'I can't. He stiffened, listening her weak plea and avoided it. "I'm feeling---thirsty."

He stiffened then gasped closing his eyes for a moment, he couldn't bear that as some parts of his heart reminded him again he is a human being who can feel others pain-he is not a stone-hearted person.He took steps towards the door slipping out the room and soon entered in room again with a jug of water and a glass, he gasped for air before stepping close to her and then sat down next to her on the bed, "get up and drink water."

He whispered and looked away as she tried to get up but her weak body couldn't give her support. He gulped raising his arm and touched her shoulder lightly to give her some support she held his hand tightly and fell into his lap as she tried to sat up,Mayank intake a sharp breath as her warm body touched his cold skin, so lost by the feelings of bliss and comfort that welled up inside him he gasped and tried to pull himself away but couldn't as she leaned over him tightly clutching his shirt in her fist for support, For a moment he didn't know what he do but then He dove his arm around her and drew her near, It was instinct the need to hold her close to him to soothe her he didn't know why he did that'he didn't know. And before he could realize what he was doing he felt her warm, sharp breath touched the flesh of his neck and he gasped, stiffened, and then squirmed, and then his arm went tight around her, He was consumed with the strange feelings which he never felt before, The harder she clung to him to get warmth from his body, the hotter his blood became he couldn't deny the fact he felt strange comfort to hold her in his arms, "I'm---missing- my parents'I want to---meet them" She mumbled something he couldn't understand but then he realized she was talking about her parents something sharp pricked somewhere in his heart and he quickly jerked away those thoughts, Taking her by the shoulders, he made her face towards him and touched the glass with her dry lips, "drink water" he spoke almost in whispering tone and she obeyed him without realizing whom she was holding in her half unconsciousness .In the darkness, he couldn't see much of her but yet it was such an intimate moment. He could hear her deep, sharp, warm breathing; feel her heart thundering under her ribs.she gulped down water wetting her throat, His breath trapped in his throat at the slight smile she bestowed to thank him. In the moonlight, it was a breathtaking, fascinating smile, not sinister in nature, he shrugged quickly removing his eyes from her face "Now lie down and take a rest" His own voice was low and gruff as he was angry at himself for doing all this.

Mayank laid her down and quickly turned on his heel but couldn't move his feet to feel the warm hand around his wrist, he gasped and whirled, "you---should----------"words faded in his mouth as he realized she had been slept, the dim light coming from the window straight falling on her pale face and he felt his eyes glued at her for a moment, the sudden pain in his heart prompted him to keep his eyes glued at her face and some strange forces trying to push him towards her, he breathed deeply dropping her hand and looked away before he felt again weak to let his heart to overpowering his mind.

She heard slow footsteps just before someone opened the door of washroom and came out and she knew without even seeing it was He'so finally he'd been came back home ,she let out a sigh of panic before opening her eyes fully, he'd towel around his neck; he'd been freshening up before getting ready for office. A quick glance at her and he caught the mellow lines of her profile shift into a rough, rage flushing on her pale cheeks, he knew the reason of it very well and it didn't matter to him-did it? He shrugged stiffly.

She breathed deeply gathering her all courage she couldn't bear all this she'd to stand up for herself'Nupur thought.

"you can't me keep shut in this house'I'm not a toy or an animal'.I'm a human being who breath, who feel, who has emotions, feelings"

Mayank dropped his coat and whirled to look at her, she felt him stiffen at her dry words and she knew how much it was dangerous for her to say against his will but she didn't let him do whatever came in his mind. She gulps trying to avoid that dangerous look before parting her lips, "i'want to---I want to meet my parents"

His face tightened as remembering how last night she was talking about her parents in half unconsciousness, and she felt play of strange emotions on his face but the next moment it faded somewhere and he lifted his gaze regarded her with a threatening look, "Don't you dare to go anywhere without my permission'if you've been forgotten then let me remind you I'm your husband who has right on you, who has right to make decision about your life"

Her breath caught as he stepped nearer her and then leaned over her, "you'd sold yourself to me and now I'm the owner of you'your life'don't forget it'you'll have to do what I want you to do" She felt herself still with her heart pounding as he disappeared out the door. Moments later, she heard the sound of the car driving away
