Chapter 2:

"THIEF! STOP!" He ran as fast as his legs could take him but he saw her getting away. "Give me my wallet!"

"Come and take it!" She screamed.

He had drawn a crowd already. "I can handle it. You guys could go!"

"Are you sure?" someone from the crowd asked.

"Yes, I'm sure."

"Khushi Kumari Gupta!"

"Arnav Singh Raizada!"

"Give me my wallet back! Thief!"

"Excuse me! I didn't steal your wallet! I took my fiance's wallet to go shopping for my wedding!"

"Khushi, I said give me my wallet back!"

"Aapko apna wallet toh milne se raha! Aap bus humare saath mall chalye! (You're not going to get your wallet back! Just accompany me to the mall!)"

"Khushi, I'm not taking you to the mall! Take the car and go by yourself!"

"NO! You have to help me pick my outfits!"

"Khushi, I hate shopping! Just go by yourself!"

"If you don't come with me then I won't buy anything and if I don't buy anything, I will have to wear boring regular clothes to our pre-marital wedding ceremonies and wedding, and if the bride looks boring, then the bride won't get married!"

"Khushi, if you don't marry me willingly; I'll force you to marry me! I will carry you to the mandap if I have to!"

"Hume chone ki koshish toh kijye! (Try to touch me!)"

"Khushi Kumari Gupta! You know very well what I'm capable of doing! A piece of advice, don't challenge me!"

"I challenge you to try and touch me!"

"You'll lose darling!"

"What if I want to lose?"

"Then so be it!" Arnav chased Khushi into a dark alley.

"Arnav! Are you there? Okay, enough of this playing around! Arnav? Arnav? Look this isn't funny! I'm scared Arnav!"

"Jab jab Khushi ko Arnav ki yaad aye, Arnav hazir hoga! (Whenever Khushi misses Arnav, Arnav will be there!)"

"Arnav!" Khushi smiled and ran into his arms!

"Kya hua? Abhi toh bade bade dave kar rahi thi? Cho ke toh dekho and all that!(What happened? You were just making huge statements? Try to touch me and all that!)"

"Whatever! That doesn't matter! Arnav, you will always be with me right?"

"Of course I will Khushi! There are just a few days left till you're completely mine!"

"Okay! Now I have to go dad must be waiting for me. You wasted my whole day and we didn't go shopping! Next time, I'll ask Anjali Di to come with me!"

"Fine! I'll be sure not to come with you!"

"Fine!"

"Khushi. . ."

"What?"

"I'll drop you home!"

"No thanks!"

"Khushi stop being so stubborn!"

"I said NO THANKS! I can go by myself!"

"Alright! I'll take you shopping!"

"Really?" Khushi jumped in excitement.

"Yes, but I have a condition!"

"I knew it! What's your condition?"

"Just a kiss!"

"Forget it! I'll go with Di."

"I thought you wanted my opinion?"

"I'll manage!"

"Okay now stop your emotional drama! I'll take you and I don't even want a kiss better."

"Much better!" They made their way out of the alley and to Arnav's car.

After Arnav sat in the car, Khushi hooked her arm to Arnav's and smiled.

"What happened?"

"Nothing. Muah!"

"What was that for?"

"I was just fulfilling your condition."

"You're completely crazy! You know that right?"

"Yes! I do know that! Thank you!"

"Khushi! Jaldi karo! Hume jewelry, shoes, aur kuch aur kapde bhi lene hai! (Khushi! Hurry up! We also have to buy jewelry, shoes, and a few more clothes!)"

"Arnav, the zipper is stuck!"

"Do you want me to help you?"

"No thank you! I know your intentions!"

"I was just asking generally!"

"I'm fine!"

"Okay! Whatever you say love!"

Khushi smiled as she went through the pictures. She felt a hand rest on her shoulder.

"Anita? I thought you were asleep!"

"I couldn't sleep!"

"Why?"

"I was just worried about you! When I came here I saw you looking through this album."

"I was just remembering the time I spent with him."

"What was he like?"

"He was so sweet, romantic, understanding, loving, caring, and generous." Khushi smiled as she talked about Arnav.

"Just like the man of my dreams! When will he some into my life?"

"I don't know Anita!"

"What did he look like?"

"Handsome, he had stubble too, but he was still handsome. Some say he was Delhi's most eligible bachelor! I have to agree though!"

"When did you first meet him?"

"It was a coincidence! I knew Anjali, his Di, for a long time! We got to know each other and she introduced me to him."

"What a casual type meeting! Was it love at first sight?"

"No, not at all! Actually, you could say it was the complete opposite! Hate at first sight!"

"Really?"

"Really!"

"Then how'd you fall in love?"

"I'll tell you that another time! Now go to sleep!"

"Alright, but you better not forget!"

"Okay! I promise to tell you how we fell in love some other time!"

"Okay! I'll remember your promise!"

"Okay!"

"What's up Anita?"

"Can you walk to the beach and pick me up a nice bathing suit?"

"Why don't you go?"

"I'm going to the beach in an hour with Dhruv. I need to get ready and I don't have time. Please?"

"Sure!"

"Here's some money."

"No, I have money thank you!"

"Okay!"

Khushi walked down the boardwalk looking at some window displays for good bathing suits. When she finally spotted a shop with cheap, yet attractive bathing suits, she walked in. She picked up a few and looked at them when she heard a few people talking.

"Is that for you? If you want we'll pay for it. Why don't you spend a little time on us and we'll spend money for you in that bathing suit."

She ignored the nasty comments and put the bathing suit back. She left the store and as she walked she felt the presence of a few people behind her.

"Hey Devi Maiyya! Raksha Karna! (Oh Devi Maiyya! Protect me!)"

Khushi ran as fast as her legs could and she heard footsteps behind her. She ran into a dark alley and found herself trapped. She saw a few figures walking towards her and she closed her eyes afraid of what was next.Then she did what she always did when she was in trouble; she remembered Arnav.
