Chapter 2
"Tu ne ek nayi bike li?" Atul asks in astonishment, staring at Armaan's black ninja motorcycle. They were at the park.
"Nai champ, maine churayi hai," Armaan said sarcastically, sitting on the bike. Atul looks at Armaan innocently. "Obviously maine nayi bike li hai! Atul tu bhi na kaise sawaal karta hai. Waise Rahul kahan hai?"
"Muskaan ko lene gaya hai," Atul answers.
"Phir toh unn ko do ghante lag ne wale hai," said Armaan with a sigh.
"Excuse me," said a voice from behind.
"Your excused," Armaan said without turning around.
"Armaan!" came a female scream. Armaan turns around to see Muskaan with Rahul.
"Muskaan!"
"Yes!" Muskaan's eyes fall on Armaan's bike. "Tu ne nayi bike khareed hi hai."
"Yes, kaisi hai?" Armaan asks.
"Amazing! Main chala sakti hoon?" Muskaan asks excitedly. Armaan laughs sarcastically.
"Pagal hai kya? Koi bhi nai meri bike ko choo sakta sivaye mere."
"Acha?" Muskaan said. Armaan nods. "Yeh le!" Muskaan touches his bike.
"Ey!" Muskaan touches the bike again. "Muskaan!" Muskaan again touches Armaan's bike. Armaan gets off the bike and starts chasing Muskaan.
"Hey guys!" Anjali comes to them.
"Hi Anjali," Atul said with a shy smile.
"Hi Atul." Anjali smiles at him.
"Hey Anji," said Rahul. She sees Armaan chasing Muskaan and looks at Rahul and Atul questioningly. "Armaan ne kaha ke uss ki bike ko haath mat laga na aur Muskaan ne haath laga diya." Anjali nods understanding the situation.
"Kaisi ho Anjali?" Atul asks politely.
"I'm fine aur tum kaise ho?" Anjali answers back nicely. Anjali knows that Atul has feelings for her, but she never looked at him in that way.
"Armaan aur Muskaan, just stop it!" Rahul yells at his crazy girlfriend and friend.
Armaan stops running when he notices something or someone from the corner of his eyes. He turns his head to see Anita dressed in track pants and tank top with her hair in a high ponytail. Armaan smirks and thinks about to go over to her, but gets another idea. Armaan walks to his bike and climbs up on it. He revs it, making a few heads turn. Anita hears the engine howling, so she turns to see who it is. Her eyes go wide and her mouth slightly opens when she sees Armaan. Armaan's back was facing her since his bike was faced the opposite direction, but he could see her through the side mirror. Anita sees Armaan smirking at her through the side mirror and turns away quickly. He sees her walking away and finds this is the best time to catch her. He jumps off his bike and runs towards Anita, leaving his friends in confusion.
"Anita!" Armaan said in pretend shock. Anita turns her head and sees Armaan. Armaan is trying his best not to smile, but is failing miserably. Anita rolls her eyes and turns her head away. "Kya kaha tha tumne? Hum phir nai milege. Lo, dekh lo. Hum phir mile." Anita sharply turns her head to Armaan.
"Tum kehna kya chahthe ho?" Anita asks, annoyed.
"Yehi ke kuch toh hai jo hum ek dusre se takraye jaa rahe hai." Anita's face softens up. Armaan walks closer and Anita takes a step back. Armaan sees this and smiles softly. "Main tumhe kuch nai karoga. Lekin pata nai kyun jab se tum mujhe mili ho, main tumhare baare main sochta rehta hoon." Anita looks away feelings a blush creep up on her cheeks. "Kya tum bhi mere baare main sochti ho?"
"H...hum abhi mile hai...toh kaise?" Anita has a difficult time speaking.
"Agar tum mere baare main nai sochti toh itna ghabra kyun rahi ho?" Armaan asks, innocently. Anita looks up at him. She was thinking about him ever since they met. Anita had to admit that Armaan is one good looking guy that can make any girl drool. When he was flirting at first, she found it disgusting, but then when returned her bracelet and teased her for fun, she liked it.
"M...main nai...ghabra rahi," Anita says. Armaan smiles slyly.
"Actually, main aur mere dost aaj raat ko fair par jaa rahe hai. Theek che baje hum Ferris wheel ke paas hoge. Agar tum nai aayi toh main tumhe kabhi phir se tang nai karoga aur agar tum aayi toh..."
"Toh..." Anita urges Armaan to say more, looking at him with expectant eyes.
"Toh," Armaan leaves it at that and walks away with a smile. Anita watches Armaan walk away and a shy smile comes to her lips.
"Yaar, rides par chalte hai na," Atul complains with a frown. All five of them arrived at the fair about half an hour ago and have been standing near the Ferris wheel because of Armaan's insistance. Atul has been complaining ever since they entered.
"Abhi chalte hai Atul. Relax," Armaan said, looking around, annoyed at Atul.
"Abhi kyun nai jaa sakte!" Spoke the loud mouth Muskaan. Armaan just sighs and keeps on looking around. "Atul, tum aur main chalte hai!" Muskaan links her arm with Atul and walks away with them.
"Main bhi jaata hoon varna Muskaan ka kuch nai pata," Rahul said, walking away quickly.
"Armaan, tum kisi ka intezaar kar rahe ho? Jab se aaye hai tab se dekh rahi hoon ke tum idhar udhar dekh rahe ho," said Anjali. Armaan looks at Anjali.
"Haan, main kisi ka wait kar raha hoon," Armaan answers, a bit embarrassed.
"Can I know who it is?" Anjali asks with a smile.
"Ek ladki hai," Armaan said with a shy smile.
"Oh, so ek ladki finally aa gayi Armaan Mallik ki zindagi mein." Anjali teases. "Huh?"
"Anji, come on yaar." Armaan's smile gets bigger with embarrassment, but then his smile falters. "Lekin mujhe yeh nai pata agar woh bhi mujhe pasand karti hai. I mean we didn't meet each other a lot of times."
"Armaan, tum usse pasand karte?" She asks. Armaan nods."Shayad tumhari pasand kuch aur main badal jaye. Uss ko bata do ke how you feel. Woh bhi tumhe pasand kar sakti hai," Anjali said.
"I hope so," Armaan says, looking around. Then Armaan looks at his watch. There was still about half an hour left before six. He had expected her to come early, but didn't. "Mujhe aisa kyun lag raha hai ke main bohut jaldi kar raha hoon. Ek din hi hua jab main usse mila hoon aur phir aaj. That's it, lekin I feel I just have to say this to her."
"Tum toh kaafi serious ho iss ladki ke baare mein," Anjali said. Armaan sighs. "Just hope for the best." Armaan nods and takes a look around. Armaan hoped that Anita would have came early, but she didn't.
"Let's go catch up with the rest," says Armaan. Anjali nods and starts walking with Armaan.
"Rahul," Armaan said, finding Rahul sitting on the curb with his head lowered. Rahul looks up and Armaan's and Anjali's mouth drops open. "Yaar, tujhe kya hua?"
"Muskaan ne cake ka piece mere chehre par laga diya," Rahul said in a low voice.
"Lekin kyun?" Anjali questions.
"Main uss ko ride par nai jaane de raha tha," Rahul replies in the same low voice.
"Uss ko ride par kyun nai jaa ne de rahe the?" Anjali asks another question.
"Main uss ko Atul ke saath nai bhejna chatha tha."
"Oh," Armaan and Anjali understand. Rahul is jealous because of Muskaan going on a ride with a Atul. "Jalan ho rahi hai?" Armaan teases with a half smirk. Rahul glares at Armaan. "Apna chehra kyun saaf karta?" Armaan asks, sitting next to Rahul.
"Kar leta agar kisi ke paas napkin hota." Rahul blasts.
"Kisi ke paas napkin nai hai?" Anjali asks, surprised. There are so many food stalls, but no one has napkins.
"Toh bathroom jaa ke apna chehra dho le," Armaan suggests.
"Yahan kisi ko pata nai hai ke bathroom kahan hai aur main aise pure fair main nai ghum raha."
"Rahul, main tumhari madat karti hoon bathroom dhund ne mein," Anjali offers. "Chalo." Rahul sighs sadly.
"Meri toh puri wat lag gayi hai Muskaan ke saath," mumbles Rahul walking next to Anjali. Anjali laughs. Rahul and Muskaan's relationship is the most unique relationship ever. They love each other but act like each others enemies. Confusing, but different. When Muskaan does stuff to Rahul like for example putting cake on his face, Rahul stands it and doesn't yell at her, because he knows she loves him a lot and he loves her too.
Armaan looks at his watch to find it six o' clock so he runs to the Ferris wheel and looks all around to find Anita, but he didn't. Armaan could feel his heart sink and break at the same time. He was in hope for no reason. Armaan waits for a few more minutes and still doesn't find her. Laughing at himself to think that Anita would actually like him when he annoyed her so much. All of this is happening to early for them to even feel the true feeling of love. It's just an attraction, Armaan tried to convince himself, but somewhere he felt it's way more than attraction. He couldn't help but feel rejected. One time he actually likes someone and feels that the feeling can turn into something more, she leaves him. Armaan tried to say to himself that he couldn't fall in love this fast. He didn't believe falling in love at first sight, but did believe in love. When Armaan had seen Anita, he wanted to gaze at her all day and she always sat in front of him. Now that he reflects back on couple of encounters with Anita, she showed no interest in him. That's what Armaan felt, because he annoyed her so much and every single time she didn't appreciate any of the words he said. Maybe because he was flirting with her and she didn't like it. Then he did notice her sometimes just staring at him with a soft expression and felt that she did like him. Armaan didn't know what to do and didn't know what is right. They met at the mall and bumped into each other a couple of times and then about two weeks later they met each other at the park this morning. Usually, when you bump into someone by accident you don't meet them again, but Armaan and Anita did. Maybe it's destiny and their faith that is bringing them together and giving them a sign they are meant to be together. Everything is so confusing that Armaan doesn't know what is right and what is wrong.
Armaan sits down on the curb near the Ferris wheel. He needed sometime alone right now. Armaan was amused by the fact that a girl has affected him so much in just a couple of weeks. He was surprised at himself to be thinking about Anita so much. Armaan gets up to go back to his friends when he sees Anita, looking around. He smiles and takes a few fast steps, but slows himself down when Anita turns and sees him. Anita stares at Armaan as the wind blew. Armaan cross his arms across his chest and smiles at her. Anita feels her cheeks starting to warm up so she turns her back towards him. Armaan walks up to her and stands behind her. Anita turns around to face Armaan, but wasn't aware that Armaan is so close to her. She gasps and takes a step back, but Armaan puts his arm around her waist and pulls her close.
"Mujhe dhund rahi thi," said Armaan. Anita stood in front of him with a soft smile. Anita looks down shyly. "Toh tum bhi mere liye kuch mehsoos karti ho?" Armaan said with hope filled in his voice.
"Agar aayi hoon toh karti hogi na," Anita says with her eyes lowered. Armaan lifts her chin face up by her chin. Anita looks in Armaan's eyes and Armaan stares down into her eyes. He leans down and Anita closes her eyes. Armaan's eyes land on her lips. "Sab...jaldi nai ho raha?" Armaan looks at her face.
"Jaldi ho raha hai lekin saath main sayi bhi lag raha hai," Armaan whispers. Anita opens her eyes and finds herself drowning Armaan's eyes once again. She had to agree that it all felt right at the moment. They have been thinking of each other for a long time, if they didn't feel anything for each other then they would have forgotten each other by now. Armaan again leans closer to Anita and Anita closes her eyes. Her breath hits Armaan's face. Armaan removes his eyes from her lips to her face. He smiles softly and kisses her forehead. Anita opens her eyes. "Girlfriend bano gi meri?" Anita pretends to think and Armaan chuckles lightly.
"Soch na padega," Anita moves away from him. Armaan frowns and narrows his eyebrows.
"Soch na kyun padega?" asks Armaan.
"Tumne mujhe itna tang kiya tha uss din aur aaj subah ko bhi toh main ab soch rahi ke tum chance do ya na do." Anita smirks at him. Armaan nods his head with challenging look.
"Acha?" Anita nods. "Okay, tum sochti raho main koi aur ladki dhund leta hoon." Armaan walks away and Anita's jaw drops. She runs after him. Armaan was walking too fast and with the crowd it was getting difficult for Anita to catch up with him. Anita catches Armaan taking a turn so she does too. She gasps when she feels herself being pulled. Anita looks up and sees Armaan smirking down at her. "Tum mujhe hamesha apne peeche kyun bhagate ho?"
"Kuch naya hona chaiye na," says Armaan. Anita looks at Armaan confused. "Usually, ladke ladkiyan ke peeche ghum te rehte ha na toh iss baar ladki ladke ke peeche bhage toh kuch naya hua na?" Anita shakes her head at Armaan's logic.
"Tum pagal ho," Anita said, giggling.
"Haan hoon, aur ab tumhe iss pagal ko jhelna padega," said Armaan with a grin. "Jawab toh de do." Anita blushes and nods. Armaan hugs her and Anita hugs him back.

I have replied to everyone's comment :) Sorry, for the late update. I had the chapter written but I kept on getting messages that I couldn't post and all and so finally today I got the chance to. If you didn't receive a PM, send me a buddy request. I won't be adding anyone. It makes it easier for me.
