Nadia's POV

My biggest fear was probably on the verge to come true. Please Harry DON'T do this to a friend. You got no idea how much I'll loathe you for this!

"Nadia, do you like Zayn?", Nialler asked.

"Obviously I do.", I tried to sound casual.

"You know what we're talking about Nad. Don't talk in circles. Just tell us the whole story. We know it.", Harry said.

"How?", I asked putting an everlasting confirmation to their doubts, if they had any. I was pretty sure they were certain, otherwise they wouldn't just confront me like that.

"Okay so I have never done this before, not sure about Nialler, but yeah we're here to confront you. And we gotta know why you just kept mute all this while.", Harry added.

"It's no use of hiding this anymore, so listen.", I said before sighing, "It's a long story."

"Tell us", Niall added, more curious than ever.

"So you 2 know I've been friends with Zayn since I was four. I kinda liked him since I was 14 and by 16, I was sure that it was more than just friendship for me. I always thought we'd end up together no matter what, even after you guys got famous. I was sure Zayn would marry me, so I never took to it and things happened between him and Perrie while I was left stranded. I didn't have the guts to tell Zayn, and now I'm just facing the consequences."

"Eh, that's so typical! I was expecting something more. More lovey-dovey stuff, more moments where you felt 'he was the one', the wind blowing scenes and stuff like that.", Nialler said in disappointement.

"You think I'm kidding here Niall?", I said before gushing into tears.

"Hey hey hey! Don't cry. We didn't mean to hurt you. Just wanted to know what you kept hiding from us. We're friends right? So don't ever hide secrets from us.", Harry said pulling me into an embrace.

"I'm sorry. Was just a joke", Niall said, while lovingly stroking my straight brown hair.

"Don't tell Liam and Louis, and obviously not Zayn", I said wiping a tear off.

"Goes without saying", Harry said with a smile.

Suddenly, it just felt bizarre. My heart felt light, absolutely free of all burdens. Sharing what I kept to myself for almost 2 years took away half of my pain. Knowing that there were 2 more people who knew my pain and understood me made me feel like I was on top of the world. I realized I shouldn't have wallowed in sorrow at all. If I told them this before, I could've saved myself from what seemed like the fires of hell. Those sleepless nights wouldn't have been spent on crying then.

"Nad?", Harry asked, shaking me in an attempt to get me out of my thoughts.

"I'm sorry I hid this.", I said apologetically.

Before the boys could reply I heard my doorbell ring.

"Zayn?", I said, staring at him in wide horror.

"Did you call him too, Harry?", Nialler asked Haz in a whisper.

"I didn't sell my brains yet to do that!", Harry replied.

"Oh so you 2 are here as well.", Zayn said seeing his bandmates.

"Why are you here?", I said in an almost complaining voice.

"Woah, you mad? Sorry if you didn't like my surprise!", Zayn said.

"No, it's not that. I just….leave it. What brings you here? Weren't you supposed to be with Perrie?", I asked.

"Yeah, but I was tired so I thought of going home, but then I stopped by here when I remembered something", Zayn said.

"Remembered what?", I asked, noticing the boys gaping at me.

"Well I got you these earrings while I was on the US tour. Hope you like them.", Zayn said opening the black box to show me the earrings.

"Were you like carrying these all day long?!", I asked, giggling.

"Well, they were in my jacket's pocket and I just realized so I came by.", he said.

"These are beautiful", I said as I admired the piece of jewellery he had handed me.

"Glad you liked them!", Zayn smiled as he said that.

"When did you buy these?", Harry questioned, raising an eyebrow.

"Errm…..I was getting myself a watch while my eyes fell on this. So I got them for Nad.", Zayn said trying to sound genuine.

"Okaay.", Niall added, "Didn't show us."

"Guess I just forgot.", Zayn said.

"Zayn stay back for a while.", I offered.

"No Nad, some other time. I'm seriously very tired. I'll get some sleep and catch up with you guys later", he said while waving us a goodbye.

"Does that make Nad feel good?", Niall whispered into my ear.

"I bet it does.", Harry repeating the same action in my other ear.

That made me blush. I could not register into my mind what had just happened. It probably didn't mean anything, but to me it was the world. Just a moment ago I was crying, and now I was actually smiling for the same guy! Life was crazy!

"Nad, we better get going. It's been a long day.", Harry said.

Niall and Harry gave me a hug and told me how they'd always support me before leaving.

Remembering all that happened today made me feel a lot better, quite unlike the usual.

It wasn't a bad day after all.

The earring part was just out of the blue...didn't even plan to keep it!
