A/N: oh my god oh my god I finally have it out!! Yeh its short but I had to put it out for you guys. I apologize again for updating after sooo long. I hate it when I get an update late for a ff Im following...makes me forget the plot. I hope you all remember...I had to go through the chapters to see where I was going with this :-/. So basically Khushi and Arnav get together in the last update and have a good life...hey this is supposed to be fluff! Anyways I thank the people who have stuck around and commented/pmed for updates, cause that really did push me in writing :-p. Here it is!Chapter 14:She was leaving today and luck was not on his side. He was booked for the entire day, continous meetings, had reports to go over and finalize three deals. He would thank all the Gods if he could even make it to the airport in time to see her off.
These past weeks were the most peaceful and memorable time of his life. He planned on officially making things go further but never got to tell her.
He wasnt sure how to aproach the topic, whether to tell her what he wanted or tell his family first and have it done the cultural way. The day for her leave was here and he hadnt uttered a word about it.
Arnav didnt ever think he would be in such a situation. Just few months ago he was a boring emotionless man and now feelings were seeping through each nerve of his. Whatever happened seemed unreal. Its amazing how life turns up with such surprising events. He had made his decision, he wasnt going to let go of something good though it was literally dropped on him out of nowhere and he didnt remember doing anything that would make him think maybe this was a reward.
Yeah he believed there is a God but never did he actually believe in Him or did anything that would seem otherwise. His family, were the regular traditional and practicing people. They never forced him into anything but did keep him in touch and updated on most things.
He sat as a thought went through his head, was Khushi sent from God? Their meeting was very absurd. It was urealistic...maybe not unrealistic but definitely very uncommon...rare.
Whatever, it didnt really matter how they came across each other or why. He knew her now and she knew him. He was in awe and thankful he found her and now was the time to focus on making their too perfect world a bit more practical and real.
Arnav pushed away the thoughts and concentrated in his work, he had to get out of here in time to see her no matter what.
~~~
This is it, thought Khushi. These three months were an illusion. It was a temporary fairy tale she was living in. The memories would stay with her forever. She was extremely happy she was going back home, back to her life, which was so not what it had been for a while.
After so long she had talked to her parents today. She highly doubted if they would ever let her travel alone again. They were even more happier than her, afterall she was their daughter.
Khushi grabbed lunch after having all her belongings packed and ready. She sat at the same table where her and Arnav had their first lunch together and when attraction towards him was ignited. Reliving the moments lifted her mood a little and she was ready to go back home.
~~~
She was sitting in the food court munching on fries, done with checking in her baggage. Funny she came with so little and was going back by paying extra.
Arnav slid in to the seat across her, "hi".
"You made it!" she smiled brightly.
"Yes it was difficult but I couldnt have not come to see you off."
"Yeah which was really unnecessary but youre here so whatever."
She wiped her fingers on the napkin and picked up her bag, standing up from the chair.
"Where are you going?" Arnav asked bewildered.
"Its time for my flight, I was waiting for you" she chuckled shaking her head.
"Oh ok...hold on a second. I wanted to -"
The loud voice over their heads cut off his words as it announced the final call for the passengers.
"Hey Arnav I really gotta go, dont wanna miss my flight. Call me okay? Bye!" she gave him a false reassuring smile and turned around to run to the gate not giving him a chance to say anything.
Arnav stood there still not knowing what the hell just happened. Five minutes had not passed since he came and she just flew away.
Slowly anger over took his confusion. He was mad at her and at himself at the turn out of events.
How could she do this. That was the most obnoxiously rude bye. For God's sake he was her...
nobody. They hadn't given any name to their relationship, to what was going on between them.
Is that it? Is that why she ran, too hurt or didnt know what to say?
No that couldnt be it. What they had was a mutual feeling, it was understood between them...right?
He didnt know. Women were always the complicated and confusing species.
Putting this weird farewell aside, he couldnt help admit he for sure was hurt and disappointed. He didnt even get to once touch her, feel her, or kiss her good bye.
She left him there, angry and bothered.
~~~
He stood staring out the huge window with a bottle of beer in one hand, deep in thoughts.
The first thing he sensed when he entered his apartment was her smell. At least something was left behind that he could drown himself in.
His anger had cooled down a bit when he went back to work from the airport. Of all the times, work had to get extremely important and busy now.
On the way home he had called her, knowing her flight had landed, but she had not picked up. Instead of calling again, he left her a text. It didnt seem right to keep calling when she was probably crying of happiness seeing her family after so long.
He closed his eyes as her smile flashed through his head. It was ridiculously weird and depressing coming back to an empty silent home.
He was glad he had business trips to go on in a day. It would keep his mind off her and could maybe concentrate on how to proceed the matter with his family and hers.
~~~
Life cannot be always easy or gifted. This isnt about love between two people, it is about love between two people from two different worlds and that both Arnav Singh Raizada and Khushi Gupta were soon going to realize and crash back to their realities.
Yep its real short. This chapter chapter was more of a cut off for me. I kind of had the plot divided into two parts, in my head..so from the next chapter onwards it will be better.
