Just read Chapter 8, and I have to say I am loving how you are giving a glimpse behind each character, a little look into their psyche, letting us understand the situation better, but still keeping the air of mystery surrounding everything.

Love how you have take traits of some characteristics of every character and wondefully woven it into your own interpretation. Anjali had the most impact on me. I could visualise Daljeet playing out the role, her face, her dead eyes, the expression as she cut her hair. I always thought that the long hair was somehow symbolic of her innocence, of her feminine nature - by you taking a decision to cut it away highlighted how that had been wrenched from her, re-surfacing those old bitter memories.

I really, really, really liked Akash's past.

I did actually pity him, and to be honest, I liked how you linked his past to how his character is today. And I think he liked that he was stronger than Payal - that he was the one protecting, rather than being protected. That he held the reigns, that he controlled their life.

But of course, he is in for a surprise, and I am sure this is troubling him, because it's taking him back to those bad memories.

The n-word, had me so angry at the teacher throughout this update. I actually wished that she had gotten an earful from someone...maybe Manorama herself? But I even liked how Manorama also tries to...go one-up on everything. Just to hide her past. Whether it's dressing herself up well, wearing make-up - whatever it is, she never wants her past's shadow to fall upon her children or the future. And I am sure this is a memory that may be bothering her as well as Akash.

I have a feeling that Payal will actually be instrumental in Akash finding it within himself to...not really live in the shadow of others. She will make him stronger, by challenging him.

I just hope that he doesn't lash out at her because of his insecurities.

As for Khushi, I did feel a few goosebumps on my skin with how much detail you described her with.

Her situation is horrible, and I really hope that she is able to come out of it.

I could completely empathise with her character, and feel Arnav's helplessness at seeing her like this.
