Chapter 14: How much do

Alisha: What is all this

Rey: What is what

Al: what was all that

Rey: that what

Al: Bro

U rejected her she felt bad doesn't mean u hug her, be

extra nice to her and give her hopes

I know I told u to be nice but this is being too nice. She

might have false assumptions

Rey raising one eye brow

Rey: wait who were u talking about when you came to my

room earlier

Al: Kriya who else

Rey: What kriya was crying?

Rey became hyper, this was the first time Alisha saw her

brother hyper for some girl except herself and Sharon

Al: Bro why are you getting hyper, btw whom did u think I

was talking about

Rey: Tanni, I thought you were talking about tanni

Al: what that girl proposed u too

Rey: What do u mean by to?

Al: Kriya too did propose u right?

Rey: why should she?

Al: what do you mean, u didn't reject her

Rey: even if she would, what made you think I would

reject her

Alisha was surprised by the unexpected answer.

Al: you wouldn't reject her

Rey: no ways

Al: but why

Rey: Because our feeling are mutual

She was inquisitive to know how something so unnatural

was possible

excited because this was the first girl bro showed interest in

anxious coz she wanted to know the details about their

relationship

sad coz she was not the first person to know her brother's

feelings

Also hurt coz she felt she did not know her brother so

well as he knows her

She simply assumed that he would reject kriya

It proves that unlike him, she was not able to see through

his expressions and nor interpret his thoughts

Rey saw her mixture of expressions and realized how rude

it was of him to not tell his sister but what could he do,

there was no way he could give her all the details. If she

knew that he was hurt or in pain don't know how she would

react especially towards Kriya. So he decided not to tell

her anything about the sad part of their story.

He made her sit on the bed and sat down on his knees

before her

Al was a little surprised as to what he was doing

Rey: Angel, listen I didn't mean to not tell you

Just that I wanted to tell you about this after everthing

was in its proper place

Al: But you promised to tell me everything, you told me

you would give minute to minute update of what was going

on in your life. Wasn't that the first condition I put when

you asked me to stay back at deheradun away from you.

Rey: I know my angel but you know right how I maybe.

Ok then'..after ''aaah what am I saying

Al: exactly what are you trying to say

Rey: Fine I was confused ok

I was dam confused didn't know about my feelings and all

This was the first time

I was drawn to a girl

So ya I didn't know what was going on

Al: But can't help it though right

Coz love is confussing

It is hard to differentiate from friendship

In the initial stages

Rey raised one eye brow and got up to a standing position

right before her

Alisha got furious

Rey: Sometimes people mistake it for admiration too right

Al: BROOO not again you are not gonna start teasing me

again for god sake k

Rey: Who is teasing you just a general analysis

Smirking

Al: waaahhh plz bro

I beg of you don't start again

I already told you there is nothing between us

Rey: I didn't even mention that

Hmmm confusion first step to love

Al: stop behaving like mom

Rey: its ok you can talk to me when you are comfortable

Al: you know what just go drown in the sea

Saying so she pounted hard on the floor and left

Kr: how cute ( to herself slowly)

Kriya had been standing near the door the whole time, she

got to know about this little misunderstanding the siblings

She was literally on ninth cloud when Rey said what made

you think that I would ever deny her

Our feelings are mutual

Just then she hid when Alisha left and was about to leave

when she saw

Rey's facial expression took a 180 degree shift

From happiness to sadness

Kriya was dam worried and was about to enter the room

when she heard him start to speek to himself

Rey: Promise'''''''''''.

Ab toh nafrat si ho gayi hai iss shabdh se

Pata nahi kitne promises kiye the par kabhi pura nahi kar

paya

Mom se kiya tha ki mai kabhi unhe shikayat ka koi mouka

nahi dungaa

Kriya se ki kabhi uske aakho meh aasu nahi aane dungga

Sharon se ki apni dosti har kimat par nibhaungga

Aur Alisha se toh aaj tak jitney bhi promise kiye sab '..

Voice: Some promises are just not ment to be kept you

know'.

Kriya turned back to see Sharon who walked towards Rey

and sat down beside him after making him sit on the bed

Kriya was sad that she was one of the reasons behind his

sadness and secondly he didn't do anything it was solely

her fault, why did he have to blame himself?

She looked at him with love and guilt in her eyes as to how

much he loves her that he could see her flaws and as if

that wasn't enough even if he did, he would see it as his

own flaws.

Sharon: And you never let me down k '.

Rey: ya right

Giving a sarcastic smile

Sharon: So why this sudden depression outburst

Rey: Nothing

Sh: Nothing ha, seriously ab tum mujse cheezze chupaoge

Sharon got up and started walking away

Rey caught her hand and pulled her back

Rey: Thik hai thik hai batata hu itna bhav khane ki zaroorat nahi hai

Sharon sat and looked at him with all attention

Rey: Who office meh bahut kaam hai

Aur kale k bahut important conference hai aur yeh log

abhi phone karke bata rahe hai

And obviously maine presentation taiyaar nahi ki hai so I'm

tensed k

Sharon shook her head gently in dimay giving out a sigh

Sh: Ya like I will believe that

Agar tumhe baat nahi karni toh its ok atleast jhoot toh

mat bolo

Rey: Kya sach seriously

Sharon gave him a stern look as if tell you lie to me again

and I will have you minced like meat

Rey gulped hard

Rey: Ok we can talk later

Sharon: that's better

Rey: You know what Sharon, your fake anger seems more

and more realistic by the day

Sh: Well all thanks to Swayam, har meri itni practice hoti

hai uski wajahse ki meri acting skills improve hone lagi hai

And both of them burst out into laughter

Sh: So ab kaam right

Rey: Wrong

Sh: Toh ab kya karne ka erada hai, let me guess

KRIIYYAA

Rey: Sharon, seriously tumse maine yeh expect nahi kiya

tha

Sh: kya

Rey: teasing and all Sharon, so down market Cha

Sh: Rey agar tumne apna muh band nahi kiya toh bol rahi

hu bohot maar khaoge

Rey: ok ok baad meh maar lena mujhe abhi mom se baat

karne jana hai

Sh: Alisha ke bare meh

Rey: ha

Sh: Rey abhi nahi, now is not the right time

Rey: Abhi nahi toh kabhi nahi Sharon

Sh: Par rey

Rey: Don't worry mai mom se dinner ke baad baat karungga

Sh: Do you think she will agree?

Rey: I don't know Sharon, dekhte hai kya hota hai

Kriya who was listening to this conversation had no clue as

to what was going on, many unanswered questions kept

popping up in her mind like what did he mean when he said

he never kept a single promise to Alisha

And office why does he have to worry about office, does

Rey help his dad or something like that coz he had never

before mentioned about this

And what about Alisha was he going to ask Ankita aunty

Rey and Sharon decided to go join everyone for the dinner

while Kriya followed them keeping a certain distance so as

not let them now of her presence.

Kriya kept walking lost in her thoughts when Rey saw her

behind them but since they had almost reached the dinning

room he assumed that she was here for dinner and as

always must be sharing her insane ideas with her universeji

He smiled to himself which caught Sharon's attention thus

making her realize Kriya's presence. She also smile at her

sister's insanity and told Rey that she would go in first

and he could come in later with Kriya. Accordingly, Sharon

went in and Rey walked towards Kriya.

Rey: Kriya

She didn't respond

Rey: Krrriya( waving his hand before her eyes)

Rey then bent forward a little toward her

Rey: Mere bare meh soch rahi thi, my baatcutter

This brought her back to her senses immediately and the

next thing she knew was she was looking into his eyes.

Kriya: kya,

I mean sorry maine suna nahi, aap kuch kehe rehe the

Rey: (slowly moving more close in a husky voice) Mujhe

miss kar rehi thi

Kriya shocked by this

Kr:Nahi

Rey: Nahi (give her the to die for look)

Kr: Haaa

Rey: Haa ( the slight smirk)

Kr: nahi mera matlab mai kuch important sooch rahi thi

Rey: Mujh se bhi important ( giving that puppy dog look)

Kriya was melting with every changing expression of his,

It was driving her crazy, she was at a loss of words,

what could be more important for her that him.

She wondered how do you resist something so irresistible.

Finally she managed to frame certain sentences which

obviously was grammatically wrong which was acceptable in

such a situation

Kriya: dinner, bhuk, sab wait

Saying so she ran inside and sat on the chair beside

Swayam trying hard to calm her heart beat which was like

that of a racing horse.

Rey walked in calmly

Kriya kept cursing him under her breadth as to why should

this one person on earth make her condition so miserable

unlike Rey who kept looking at her and smiling.This made

her feel more miserable especially the calm and composed

look on his face.

Then one by one everyone joined them, they had a hearty

feat after which the parents retired to their rooms and

the youngsters decide to have fun playing cards.

Kriya saw Rey whisper something into Sharon's ear's to

which she nodded and Rey went behind his mother.

Kriya wondered was it the thing what she had overheard

him discuss with Sharon. She decided not to interfere since it could be family matters and all.

She went to join her friends for playing card. Besides the

fact that she didn't like playing cards everything was fine.

Finally she gave on trying to entertain herself with a game

she didn't really like and decided to while time, she

wandered aimlessly and then went to the dinner hall to get

some water.

She drank the cold soothing water and just when she

decided to retire to her room she saw something shiny on

the dinner table and as she moved towards it she realised

that it was Rey's wrist watch.

He had this habbit of taking off his wrist watch for any

proper main course meal and it was only in the past two

days that she had realized.

Kr: (picking up the watch) universeji, pata mujhe kabhi

kabhi aisa lagta hai ki mai Rey ke bare meh toh kuch

jaanti hi nahi par Rey, woh toh mujh se mere bachpan ke

kisse bhi sun chuke hai

How much do I know you? Rey'''''''''.

Kya mai unhe utne acche se kabhi jaan paunggi jitne acche

se Rey mujhe jaante hai?

Waise bahot deer(late in hindi) ho gayi hai ab tak toh Rey

ki unki mom se baat hogayi hogi mai uppar jaakar unhe yeh

watch deekar aati hu.

She went up the stairs and heard some voice, it was

coming from the balcony in Rey's room.

She walked into Rey's room and saw his mother sitting on

the couch outside and Rey kneeling before her, she was in

tears.

Just when Kriya decided to leave the mother and son alone

she unintentionally overheard.

Rey: Ankita, plz don't cry, plztry and understand me

Kriya realized that Rey calls his mom by her ame but then

again that's something she probably asked for.

An: Kya mai itni buri hu Rey, kya mere pyaar meh koi

kaami rehe gayi

Rey: Ankita, aisi koi baat nahi hai, mai chahata hu ki aap

apni life khul kar jiye

Aap humari wajah apni wishes ko daba rahi hai na isliye

An: Its ok Rey seedhe seedhe bol do na ki, I m not fit to

be your and Alisha's mother

Kriya was more confused as to what Rey wanted and what he had asked for that caused her so much grief.

Rey: All I'm asking for is to give me Alisha's custody

Kriya was shocked and speechless. The whole thing made

no sense at all, why would Rey what Alisha's custody.

An: Rey, janti hu mai ki acchi mom nahi hu but I love both of you more than my life Rey

She cried, her eyes were filled with tears

Kriya wondered why was Rey being so mean to his mother,

what was he up too.

Ankita as if struck by sudden realization looked up

An: Rey tum mujhe yeh sab issi liye kehe rehe ho na

because I'm not your real mother.

Kriya couldn't believe her ears, Ankita aunty was not Rey

and Alisha's real mother. But they were so close even

Kr:( to herself) Yeh kaise sach ho sakta hai

I mean sab kitne close lag rahe the

Rey...I ...

Kyu Rey ne itni badi baat mujhe kabhi kyu nahi batayi

I really don't know you at all, do I?

Firstly I'm really sorry for taking like forever but I really couldn't help it guys

I have no excuses, if you hate me I totally understant since one unfinished story already had caused us so much sadness and another story which i promised i led you guys down.

If possible forgive me and give your support again becoz i can't continue without it and you it.
