Didnt someone say something about an update today? *wondering*
Arnav missed her he missed her so much. He looked for her when he went home even though he knew that she wasn't home, the nights were lonely, and the beds were empty. He recalled the night that had destroyed them both.
It was that night he had cornered her, promising that he would answer every question that came out off her mouth but how he regretted that one 'Yes' that came out. Because she asked him the real situation of their marriage and he had no option but to give it to her, to say things had changed after that was an understatement but it was the truth and Arnav prided himself on being honest.
He replayed the words back in his mind.
"Why did we get married Arnav?" She asked.
He wanted to answer it in a playful way, in a way that suggested nothing as fatal as the real scenario but he couldn't lie, not anymore.
"I think its best if you sit down" He said, taking her to the edge of the bed.
She sat, and looked down at him as he knelt down near her feet.
"I was approached by my fathers lawyers, claiming that there were some loopholes in his will, I never knew my father owned any assets of the sort I assumed that I had to make my own empire and that's exactly what I done but it seemed that my father had shares in a certain company, and a couple of investments and they could be mine but" He paused, trying to find some sort strength but looking at her crest fallen face he only felt himself draining.
"But?" She asked.
"I had to marry someone" He said all at once.
Her gasp was quiet but he heard it and it crushed him, his brother-in-law was right after all two wrongs do not make a right. And this was not right, he had done wrong by pursuing marriage only for the will, and then he done wrong by 'buying' her out.
"And then you approached my family, the declined?" She asked her voice a tad bit to calm.
'How did she know?' He asked himself, his face expressed surprise but she did not wait for his interruption, she continued.
"When they declined, you threw some money at their faces claiming that you would give them so much money as long as I got married to you, is that not correct?" She asked.
He had the audacity to nod.
"So did I serve my purpose?" She asked
To this he expressed some sort of confusion "I don't follow"
"Did I live up to the money you spent on me? Did I do my job? Am I good enough in bed?" She asked, not batting an eyelash.
And Arnav was filled with an unknown anger, the anger was most definitely directed towards himself, but Khushi was provoking him further and sadly the anger was taken out on her.
"What are you trying to say? That you're a prostitute? Are you questioning what I feel for you?" He grabbed her arms, aggravating his frustration towards her.
"Haven't you proved that I am one? Like Payal said I am easily bought and paid for, sadly it was my own mistake that I believed that we had something here, I did not believe her, I tried my hardest to see it as spiteful remarks but sadly it turned out to be true didn't it! LET GO OF ME ARNAV" She screamed.
"No" He said.
"I'll scream" She said.
He let her go, knowing that someone had to possess a cooler head to make sure that nothing regretful happened. He saw her walk towards the bathroom, heard her bolt the door and then soon after heard the overhead shower.
That night sleep had evaporated into the air, there was no way they could find some sort of peace without the other. Arnav had retired into his painting shed and Khushi had packed her bags. She was going to inform about the ticket to London regarding her university results but she stopped, but still she wrote him a letter and left the house that night before the sun could rise.

Was it cowardly to do? Some may consider it to be.
Could they have gone by it another way? Probably, but Arnav and Khushi had always done things differently than other couples so even this right would be overcome in their own way. Right from the start things between them were not considered normal so even this was not normal.
Arnav's eyes snapped open as he recalled her letter, she had written her whereabouts, which simply meant she wanted her to follow him.
It was time to bring Khushi home.

Short I know? But here we go! Tell me what you think
