Kria still looked down but one of her hands reached the hand Rey had placed on her shoulder and she squeezed it. She squeezed it
and chucked it off her shoulder and turned to face Rey.
"Do you not understand that there is nothing wrong? I dont think I have to prove to you why im acting like i am-""Kria, stop lying.""Who says im lying?"
"I know you're lying""You know everything na Rey? You know who I am, what i like, what i do, what i wear, how i dance, how i talk? Just shut up."
"Tell me youve never trusted me Kria""I have Rey. But i dont see why i need to trust you with nothing""Tell me whats wrong""Nothings wrong.""Tell me whats wrong""Will you take me home, or should i-""Tell me whats wrong""What tell me whats wrong? Im syibg there's nothing wrong at all! Maybe everythings right! Maybe this is really me? How do you know i wasnt lying about my appearance and personality the same way i .. lied about loving you?"
Rey felt a sudden hard throb in his heart. What if she was lying all along?No way.
Rey took small steps towards Kria.. With each step Rey took forward, Kria took one backwards ubtil shit hit the glass window of Rey's car. The two were practically millimeters away from each other. Their heads moved towards each other, Rey tilting his head a little. His lips reached out to Kria's, he just needed to plant one. Kria resisted the whole while but began to give in and moved forward. Kria closed her eyes, breathing heavily.
Just before an actual kiss, Rey moved his lips to her ears. "Its cause i know you can't lie that good"
Silence fell between them. Kria wanted to spill her heart out but she automatically began taunting Rey's questions. It was good she thought in a way, if im going to have to go back after my mission, then i shouldn't clear up. Let him keep thinking then. If i tell him why im back and why i left, he'll be heartbroken if i have to leave again. If i leave without him knowing anything, then he wont question as much ...
God dammit she's beautiful. Ugh, you are so stubborn Kria. But Im not any less. You didnt tell me today, cool, but now im on a mission to find out no matter what.
Rey moved away from Kria and Kria jumped away from his car and him.
"Will you take me home, or are you going to ask questions about that too."
Rey got into his car without replying and kicked up his engine. He backed his car out and made it seem like he was going to leave. He sped away, maybe a few couple of yards. Kria gaped awkwardly. A minute later, Rey drove backwards really fast and rolled down the windows.
"You wanted to go home?"
"What, you're not going to throw me in this time?"
"Do you want me to?"😆
Kria muttered under her breath and sat in his car while Rey smirked.
He thought to himself as he drove Kria home. Two can play in your game Kria. You think you can act na? Im not half bad at putting up a farce either. An evilish grin formed on his face. If you can become ignorant then i can become worse. It was all a plan. Rey was smart, dont forget.

It was RDX and Nicole's Wedding day. Everything was done perfectly, from the decorations to the food. The mahol was so spectacular.
Kria stood in a far off corner, head against a pillar, smiling at the venue. She felt so happy for the two, but couldnt pick herself up to actually take part in the rasams. She still couldnt get over what happened last night. She searched across the hall and looked for Rey. She saw him in a golden sherwani, the sleeves rolled up, the dupatta matching. He was all smiles. Secondly, he hadn't talked to Kria the whole day even.
"Humph, Kuch yaad hi nahi hai usse. Aise behave karraha hai jaise kuch hua hi nahi. " 😆
It bothered Kria not getting all that attention from Rey.
From the far distance, Rey noticed from the corner of his eyes that Kria kept an eye on him. "Plan toh shuru hi nahi hua, aur abhi se uska yeh halaat?" he said to himself, smiling. 😆
The rest of the gang cheered and clapped as soon as RDX and Nicole were announced pati aur patni. Swayam and Vicky picked up RDX on their shoulders, and the girls held Nicole's hands. The gang joined RDX in taking the two to their room.
"No no, aise kaise? Humme reward dijiye! Warna, no entry!" the girls chimed.
"Reward for what guys? Kya mazaak ha ye?"
"Nope. Entry fee chahiye! Agar nahi dena toh teekh hai, bhabi ke saath yahi darwaaze pe suhaag raat mana le na" The gang high fived.
"Guys, i have nothing on me."
"Are sir, kya nothing? Aapke Sherwaani hai, sehra hai, woh hat tarha ki cheez hai, joote hai, ghadi hai, underwear bhi hai. Kya nothing." Vicky taunted. 🤣
"Haan toh! Mein toh ye saab take off nahi karungi!"
"Kyun, suhaag raat mana na hai na, toh abhi shuru kar dijiye"😆
Nicole heard from the bed on the other side and held in a giggle. 😆😳
"Look guys i only have the keys to my car and a piece of paper" RDX shurgged his shoulders. He just wanted his room.
"That will be enough sir" Swayam said, snatching the keys. Sharon opened the doors, "you may now go in. "
Inside Kria and Neha sat on the bed giving Nicole company till her husband came in.
Rdx walked slowly to the bed and Kria and Neha understood it was their cue to leave.
"Shes all yours sir"
Outside the gang made their way to their rides. Amar, Rinni, Simmi and Nilesh went in one car. Neha and Vicky went in another. The only ones left were Rey, Kria, Swayam and Sharon, and they decided to leave together as well-Swayam driving, rey in the front and the gals in the back.
"Rey, will you drive us. Sharon's is the the first stop, and im staying over tonight, her dad isnt home, so ..." Rey laughed and Sharon threw a glaring looking back at Swayam.
"Okay then, ill drop you two off, and ill go home"
Kria raised an eyebrow, "umm, what about me ?"😆
"Oh, you? Sorry. i forgot i could ask you anything" Rey smirked a bit.
"Err .. Rey... my house" Sharon and Swayam looked at each other awkwardly, they felt a weird tension building. "Night guys"
The whole car ride was silent. Kria didnt bother moving up to the front seat to sit next to Rey as much as she wanted to. From the front, Rey would look back at Kria from the front mirror, adjusting it here and there so he could get a full view of Kria. The car came to a stop and Rey waited for Kria to leave.
She didn't know if she should say anything to Rey, if she should say good night, thaank you or bye. Before she could even open her mouth, Rey took a sharp uturn and drove away.
Kria felt hurt, but the she thought, whatever, i guess i deserve it. He cares so much, but im so stubborn. She shook her head and went inside.
Kria's Room, Two Days Later: 7 AM
Kria stepped out of the shower, a pink towel wrapped around her body and one for her hair. She went though her closet to choose an outfit to wear to college for the day. She got the memo she had to stay back for dance rehearsals too, so she packed easy clothes into a duffel bag. She again went back to ther closet and looked for an outfit. She touched a green churidar and went to go change. Just before changing, she remembered his words. They rang in her ears. "Even if you look breathtaking in an attire that isnt yours ... it isnt you..."
She put the salwar on her bed, and went back to the drawers of her closet. She found her orange shirt, black tight jeans, and white clip. She wondered again about what he told her. Along with her dance clothes, she put her old clothes in her duffel bag as well. She changed and headed out to college.

Rey had a different idea to get Kria to tell him everything. He knew for a fact she was hiding something, and was going to make sure she herself will come to him and expose everything. And to do this, he was going to use the same thing she used- just a notch higher. "Tumne mujhe jealous bana diya Swayam ke naam lekar, ab tumhari bari hai." Rey's sixth sense told him Kria was lying and she did have true feelings for him. And if his plan worked right, then Kria will get jealous, and will come to him. I know it.
RDX's Office:
RDX: I really wish he came! I have a pretty good relation with him!
Sharon looked down and fidgeted with her skirt.
"I don't know, i had a feeling he wouldnt come."
"Sharon, are you sure everything's okay? Its actually been a while since Ive seen him. The last time was maybe-"
"Last year at Footloose"
"Would he be able to come this year do you think?"
"I doubt it sir, he does everything on his own accord"
"Okay, i dont want to take much of your time. You may go"

Sharon got up and walked out of the office. She paced herself slowly, and tried to control herself. "He only cares for himself" A small tear rolled down her cheeks. Luckily Kria had no class at this time and was just going to the library the same way when she saw Sharon in this state. She was going to smile at Sharon, but looked closely and saw her big brown eyes were welled up. She reached out a hand to Sharon's shoulder and asked if she was okay. Sharon moved away a little from Kria, remembering what she had done to her best friend. Kria again tried to comfort Sharon.
"Sharon, why are you crying?"
Sharon quickly wiped her tears and wanted to get up but stopped. "Would you understand Kria?"
"Understand what?"
"Never being loved?"
Kria was in shock. Was Sharon talking about ... Swayam?
"Ive always been alone Kria. Since childhood-"
This cant be about Swayam, thats impossible. Its definitely something else
"I never had a mother. I did, but i wasnt with her. I had a father, but, i wasn't with him either. In fact he was never with me."
At that moment, Kria totally forgot that Sharon's story was relatable to hers, instead she got busy in comforting Sharon and stopping her from crying.
"I dont understand what goes on sometimes. And sometimes im on the verge of breaking down like this. I don't know why i told you today, but i did. I needed to let it out."
"Its okay Sharon. Dont worry. Your friends are here. You have Swayam and Rey too." She smiled at Sharon and signaled to her that she needed to leave.
Kria began to walk away when from behind she heard Sharon whisper something.
"He really loves you Kria. Dont push him away"
