Sweet, soft music rung into my ears, my brows curved a bit, the music played on and I finally guessed the melodious song it was none other than "Happy Birthday" I kept my eyes closed fearing that this might be a dream. Then after a few moments I found my tiny body swaying in the air currents with two pairs of strong hands holding my delicate body and swinging me back and forth. My face broke into a heavenly grin enjoying the ride. I opened my eyes feeling the sunlight on my face brightening my morning. As soon as my eyes opened two faces came by each ear and whishpered "Happy Birthday Princess" their sweet voices made my grin so large that my face hurt. I wishpered back "Thank you Mommy and Daddy" and turned towards their faces. They put me down and gave me a hug together, kind of a family hug, I hugged back with all my strenght and might, letting them know my immense love towards them. We broke the hug and joinded our heads together smiling. "So what do you want to do today princess, no party, then what?" asked Daddy. "I want to go for a movie" I replied "Then we have to go for dinner at someone's place" said Mommy "Whoes place?" I asked with curiousity "You'll know that later baby" Mommy said, I turned towards Daddy and he had the same confused expression like me but then it changed to a knowing smile. I didnt bother about that I was to happy to celebrate my birthday, I was turing 7. 7 - Ahh it felt so good I was growing up.
Mommy got me dressed in my beautiful birthday present, a Lavender outfit that swept the floor a bit. Mommy made my hair in the most pretty bun I have ever seen, it made me look like a angle on Earth. Daddy came in with a brooch that had a hint of lavender in it, and pinned it to my side, while Mommy was sticking small stars on my bun. I felt special and my face was lit with a smile. Mommy said "Done princess" and I looked at the mirror for the final time adjusting my gown a bit. I hugged my parents thanking them. They gave me breakfast and went to get ready. Muching on my food I thought how I got the name Princess. Well actually there were two princess' at home but one day I told Daddy "Mommy cant be the princess I am the princess, if Mommy wants to be something she could be the Queen" since then I was the Princess, Mommy was the Queen and Daddy was the King.
Thinking of the past memories made me smile even more and then I realised that I was done with my food. I went to Mommy and Daddy's room and saw Mommy's makeup kit open, I stared at it fearing to touch the huge set laid in front of me. Oh how I wanted to use each one of it, I thought dreamily, how I wanted to smell each lipstick and perfume holding it in my tiny hands. Just then Mommy came out from the other room, and smiled at me. I told her "Mommy why cant I use it now. Im seven today S-E-V-E-N" counting on my tiny fingers and showing it to her. But the result was a fit of giggles from her and a pout from me. "Please!" I said "Okay I'll put some lipgloss, fine" she replied with her sweet smile, I jumped "Yesss its perfect!" I shouted. Daddy by then came out from the bathroom with his hair wet. Oh he looked so cute sometimes I felt jealous. He came and gave me a kiss and told me "You look very pretty today" and I smiled wider, Oh it hurt a lot this time.
We all hopped in the car and drove away to the cinema. We reached there and now we were to decide the movie, Daddy pointed to some gun cum action movie and i flinched. Mommy pointed to a Hollywood movie that made no sense to me. I pulled their hands and pointed to Rio, ah that gave me relief. They I guess smiled and Daddy said on the counter "Three tickets for Rio please". Now the fun part with the huge tub of popcorn and Nachos, we went inside the chilled theater, I got goosebumps because of the chilly air and my sleeveless gown. We sat on our seat and enjoyed the movie.
We got up when the movie ended. I rubbed my eyes while walking out and streched my arms. "Where are we going now?" I asked when we stepped into the car. "We are going for dinner" Mommy said with that hint of laugh in her voice "Tell me tell me tell me" I whined "Darling its a surprise" Daddy said "Okay" I said not satisfied with his answer. The journey wasnt long and in no time I broke into a smile again and jumped up when I saw we are at Rishi's place. "Yaaay no wonder you both did not tell me" and the just smiled.
We went inside and Rey uncle welcomed me with a Slash that said "Ms. Birthday Princess", placing a tia-ra and a hugey bear hug with his strong mus-cu-lar arms. Kriya aunty came that time too and gave me a kiss on my cheek, I noticed that she wore lip gloss like me. I smiled but my eyes were searching for my best friend Rishi. Rishi is my best best best friend, we both go to the same swimming classes, the same school and we have the same hobbies like cycling. He came with a present in his hand and a glint in his eyes. He wished me and handed me the gift, I snatched it from him and began tearing it the wrapping apart, a pretty lavender purple bag emerged from the pink floral cover. I hugged Rishi and thanked him. I showed it to Mommy and Daddy. It was finally time for dinner from the best cook - Kriya aunty. I dont know about the others but I just gobbled everything on my plate. At the end of it they got a Huge Chocolate cake, my fav. Ahh I never had so much food till now, my stomach felt like bursting.
Then at the end of my big day we went home, I was half asleep in the car only. So, Daddy picked me and took me to bed, Mommy changed my clothes and pulled my purple comfortor over my tired body. I drifted off to complete slumber, beofre that felt two soft paires of lips loving my small rosy cheeks. The last thought on my birthday was thanking God for making my birthday the best through the best parents, friends and people in the world.
