Leaving you behind Part 14

Arnav after talking to Mr Gupta, made his way towards Khushi's ward, he was now clear on what he wanted and one way or another he would make it happen.

When he entered the room Khushi was nowhere to be seen, he looked around the whole room but failed to find her, suddenly a strange fear gripped him and he was about to go out of the room to tell Mr Gupta when he heard a familiar sound of tinkling payals and he felt himself relax, and his heart beat came back to normal.

He turned around to meet the most beautiful sight in front of him… his Khushi. She was wearing a simple peachy pink anarkali with no makeup but still looked stunning. If anyone would see her at this moment they wouldn't be able to believe she had just recovered from an accident.

Khushi had gone into the bathroom to change into her own clothes, as she was being discharged today, she was very happy that she could finally go home, she missed everyone so much, even though they regularly came to visit her she still felt very lonely, especially in the night when they were all told to go home… but her biggest reason to be happy was that she would meet Arnav after three weeks, she had missed him a lot.

As she came out of her room she saw a person with his back towards her, she didn't need him to turn around to know that this was the man that she had been dying to see in the past three weeks. When he turned towards her, heart just skipped a beat, how she had craved to see this face and now there he stood looking as handsome as ever.

The two just stood there for a while taking in each other's presence, though there were no words exchanged, they both knew exactly what the other was thinking and feeling.

Arnav started to walk towards Khushi slowly still looking straight into her eyes, almost as if in a trance. Khushi was also looking into his eyes, and unknowingly kept taking a step backwards. Arnav noticed how with each step he took forward, khushi took one step backwards, smirking to himself he continued to walk towards her until her back met with a wall and she had no more space to walk back to.

Khushi didn't realise what Arnav was doing until she felt her back hit the wall, and now she was fully trapped by Arnav. She tried to escape but failed miserably as she had been sandwiched between Arnav and the wall.

Arnav saw Khushi struggle and smirked a little. How will you escape from this he mischievously thought. He brought his hand up to a loose strand of hair that was blocking the beautiful view in front of him. As he tucked the loose hair behind her ear, he purposely caressed Khushi's cheek leaving a rosy pink colour.

Khushi felt Arnavs tantalizing touch on her cheek and blushed slightly causing her cheek to go slightly red. She closed her eyes as she felt a little weak on her knees… feeling Arnav so close to her was making her lose her strength. To her luck Arnav held onto her waist.

Arnav noticed how Khushi was breathing heavily and losing her posture, he loved what his presence did to her. He had equal effect on her as she did on him, he was pretty sure of that now. He held onto her waist and moved his lips towards her ears and whispered in a husky voice.

Arnav: I missed you… a lot !

Khushi was now breathing very heavily as she felt his intoxicating breath on her neck… Unknowingly she brought her hands up to his neck and pressed herself more into Arnav… she did not know where she was, how they looked right now, all she knew was that she was with her love and that was all that mattered at that moment.

Arnav hugged Khushi tightly, he had missed her touch, and today he would let go of any barriers, only one thing mattered to him at this moment…his Khushi was with him. Arnav broke out of their hug slightly and pecked Khushi's cheek, making her eyes open suddenly and realise what they were doing and where they were standing.

To stop anything else from happening she pulled away from Arnavs hold and was about to run when she felt Arnav hold on to her wrist.

Arnav pulled khushi toward him with a jerk making her land on his chest. Khushi could feel Arnavs heart beat erratically and blushed. She tried to pull her hand away from his grip but it was too strong.

Khushi couldn't even get a voice out of her mouth, she tried to speak but it came in a very hushed tone, which to anyone else would be inaudible.

Khushi (whispered): mujhe jaane do !

Arnav had heard what Khushi had said but decided to tease her a little and pulled her closer pretending to be deaf.

Arnav: HUH ?? I didn't quite hear that… phir se bolo

Khushi looked down unable to meet her eyes with his. She repeated herself, this time a little louder.

Khushi: I said let me go

Arnav was having so much fun seeing her blush like that that he couldn't resist kissing her cheek once more.

Khushi looked up at Arnav in surprise and then smiled shyly seeing Arnav's smirk, she couldn't stand there in front of him any longer so quickly pulled her hand away and ran out of the room blushing like hell.

Arnav was left in the room smiling to himself at what had happened just now. He was happy to see that smile on Khushi's face after such a long time. Maybe Mr Gupta was right, maybe he was the only one that could bring her smile back he thought pushing his hair back with a slight one sided smile. He would bring back that smile, one way or another and that was his promise!

Mr Gupta was standing at the reception talking to the doctor, and enquiring if there was anything he needed to make sure of, but the doctor assured him that Khushi was absolutely fine and as long as she kept taking the medication they had prescribed her there would be no problem at all.

Hearing this Mr Gupta relaxed a little, he thanked the doctor and started to make his way towards Khushi's ward, but before he could reach the room he saw his darling daughter running towards him herself, she had this beautiful smile adorning her face, probably the first one after her accident. He felt truly happy seeing his daughter smile at him brightly, he didn't need to work his brain so much to guess that this smile was all thanks to Arnav. And his suspicion was turned into certainty when he saw Arnav walk out of the ward carrying Khushi's bag, with essentials to take home.

Mr Gupta hugged his daughter tightly, and blinked at Arnav in appreciation of the smile he brought on his daughters face, to which he just nodded and smiled at him.

Mr Gupta: So princess, all set to go home ?

Khushi nodded her head in excitement and smiled brightly at her father.

Khushi: absolutely papa

Arnav walked up to the father-daughter and asked Mr Gupta if they would need a lift.

Mr Gupta: No beta, I have my car… you can hand me this bag.

Arnav nodded and passed him the bag.

Arnav: Acha toh main chalta hoon, I will come round in the evening.

Mr Gupta smiled and nodded in response and then hugged him, patting his back.

Mr Gupta: Thank you for bringing my daughters smile back son.

Arnav: No need to say thank you uncle.

Khushi stood their looking at the bonding Arnav and her father had grown, she smiled feeling blessed to have these two in her life, they both were very important to her.
