Sarah, thank you for the pm... read parts 13 and 14 together... very intense... nikhil attacking khushi in the room was chilling... when the masked intruder entered that room and said, 'Unbelievable', I felt a moment of relief, hoping it was arnav, but it turned out to be the creep! that second abduction was really scary, with no idea if arnav would reach in time to save khushi... it was terrifying to read of khushi getting shot and the blood pooling around her!
kudos to you for portraying arnav's fear and helplessness so amazingly... such a moving scene!
what really drew me to the part today was the realistic description of khushi's wounds and the aftermath of the shooting... arnav trying to staunch the flow of blood was a good idea... it is very irritating to see the wounded people in Indian serials / films being carried all the way to the hospital, bleeding like stuck pigs! in reality, they would have died from blood loss long before reaching the hospital 😲!
loved the hospital scenes... the orders shouted by the EMTs and doctors were bang on... could almost see the scene taking place before my very eyes... thank god the doctor didn't say that they have to wait 'n' hours before saying anything... hate that cliched line! what you described was far more real: "We lost her twice, got her back. You're right in the fact she's a fighter. But her body can only sustain so much shock. With the shooting, blood loss, surgery. . ." His voice trailed off.
garima and buaji reassuring arnav and he comforting buaji when her tears fall on his hand was a truly moving moment... arnav's conversation with the unconscious khushi was heart-warming and heart-rending at the same time! the part about him detailing the names of their future kids was mind-blowing: this coming from a person who used to be averse to marriage and who disliked kids really means the world!
loved the last part: khushi squeezing his hand and a smile blooming on arnav's face ! thank you once again for a truly amazing piece of writing!
can't wait to read more
