PART - 2

Arnav never knew, that wet sticky sweet sliding down your windscreen was capable of giving you so much pleasure...the frustration on khushi's face merely did the job of triplicating it...

he raised an eyebrow and hid a smirk cum smile with great effort...

"kya kar rahen hain aap?" khushi shouted, still fuming...

he took a deep breath, relaxed and leaned back on the car seat, and sat staring at her... "don' you think I should be asking that? Tum...kya kar rahi ho?"

khushi was absolutely flustered...here she was sitting in his car, had just flown a jalebi out of his hands, and now had to grope for an explanation...that's it, no problem... she would just take the box and move out, ya right..

one quick grab at the box, one hand clicking the door open and no sooner had khushi put one step out a hand reached from behind, literally snatched the box back as Arnav said-

"ye tumhari dukan nahi hai khushi..and by the way, i've paid for this.."

khushi put her leg back inside, turned towards him 90 degrees, and sat staring for some time, then slowly asked..

"aap chahte kya hain?"

Arnav leaned, clicked the door shut, sat up right ,then looking straight into her eyes said a crisp "ye"

and before khushi knew it, the car was driving full speed down the road...

If Arnav singh raizada was 'ziddi', khushi kumari gupta singh raizada was 'maha ziddi' , courtesy the extra two words in her name... every 3 seconds she was telling him to stop the car, now! But it seemed to be falling on deaf ears... Arnav was driving, looking straight ahead..

"agar aapne abhi isi waqt gadi nahi roki toh hum darwaza khol ke kud jayenge"

no response...

"thik hai..toh hum kud rahe hain"

this time as a response, he increased the car speed..oh no... she sat back quickly and he gradually slowed down..

Khushi was totally flustered, so much, that she didn't even realise when her hand hovered involuntarily over the jalebi box, when she took out one of them, and when she was busily munching on arnav singh raizada's jalebis...

he turned, saw what she was doing and smiled, smiled for the first time since days..a smile he was hungry for...he felt like just stopping the car then and there and watch her finish the box..but the smile was soon wiped out...as one appeared slowly on khushi's face..

now jalebis always did to khushi what the apple did to newton.. and the kind of smile she was giving generally preceded one of her- 'dangerous! Do not try this at home' acts..

she turned, reached for his pockets, took out a large size handkerchief "what the..", gagged herself with it, then took the ends of her dupatta , and tied up her hands..

"oh no...oh shit...shit shit shit!" was what raced in Arnav's mind...she was not doing this...

oh yes she was...

khushi turned and started banging the window on her side..

she was impossible...and arnav went into a total panic mode..people had already turned and started staring..it must be seeming like..oh hell..like he was trying to..shit! What if someone noted the car number? What if...

the car screeched to a halt..

Arnav literally tore the handkerchief away from her mouth..in a jerk untied her hands and muttered slowly

"what . The . Hell. Are you doing khushi!"

to which khushi bent, took a bottle from the storage box, poured some of the water in her cupped hands, applied it on her face..then turned to him and said

"agar aapne gadi phir shuru ki, toh iss baar hum aansoo bhi bahayenge.."

he fell back on his seat..there was just one person in the whole world before whom he failed...just like he did now..

fine..if this is what destiny had planned for them, clearing differences in front of the national zoological part, so be it..

"uthro"

"yahan?"

"tumne koi choice chodi hai?"

"aap hume itni dur chidiya ghar dikhane laayen hain?"

"what the.."

"tum gaadi chalane nahi dogi aur mai aaj baat khatam kiye bina tumhe jaane nahi dunga...toh agar tumhe yahi jagah pasand hai then fine!"

"hume aapki koi baat nahi sunni"

"maine pucha tumse"

"nahi..kabhi pucha hai?"

This hurt him a bad one...kaash pucha hota...he gulped..."khushi mai..."

"humne ye saari baaten pehle bhi kar lin hain...aur ab hum ja rahe hain.."

she opened the door..but that was it...he had been tested too long...before she could step out, he jumped out of the car, went to her side, opened the door and pulled her out..

"jaa ke dikhao mujhe.."
