SS:Arnav Khushi-I Promise! end..page 93 - Page 17

LOVED the OS ! Like each and every part ! You know, its 4 in the morning here and there are 3 people around me fast asleep. Yet I couldn't help but let occasional chuckles escape my mouth 😆 Vaise to I loved every part, but some of my fav lines -

Arnav's heart did a full on salsa...(yes, even mr raizada's heart was not allowed to do bhangra or anything of the sort..salsa, maybe..)

"aap hume itni dur chidiya ghar dikhane laayen hain?"several pairs of eyes were glued to the door, a sight which could put the fevicol add company to shame..

once someone entered the door and they all immediately stood up but it turned out to be HP who wondered since when had he started commanding such respect in the house..

now can you please help mrs Raizada off the ground over which she has swooned?ya..right there..

When they finally entered RM, no one stood up, as by that time they had paid due respects to HP, OP, the washerman and who not...

Of course, hitting khushi upon the head with a sledge hammer , was the only thing that could have dawned upon him as a means of bringing her back!

Horror of horrors as he descended the stairs, no one was visible, or rather no one who counted at the moment was visible...

"di ,kahan hain sab?"

"kaun chhotte?

Aliens!...dammit..

"khushi, buaji, aunty where is everyone?"

anjali looked down sadly..the rest just gave him uncomfortable looks

"woh toh chali gayin chotte"

"chal..WHAT THE? And that's it? U Didn't stop her??"

* silence *

hold on..something was not as simple here. What were they up to? Did he just see his sister smiling?what...

she straightened her face, "haan chotte who chali gayin, apne ghar waalon ke saath-"

that was it, he turned to head for the door..this was ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE.

"chotte!!"

"what di?" he turned impatiently..

"aap itna pareshan kyun ho rahe hain?? aakhir 24 ko toh who aa hi jayengi na.."

"what? 24? what the hell is on 24^th?"

Anjali could hold it no longer..she walked ahead..threw her arms about her 'in a trance' brother, then with a twinkle in her eye said "aapki shaadi chotte!"and laughed gleefully..

let's join him people- "WHAT THE!!"

when he had finally digested the news, spent hours pondering upon it,(while people at AR wondered whether he had finally lost it)...and 'shut up' Aman several times on the phone as he was 'busy' sorting out 'important things' that it finally dawned on him..

wow, so he doesn't even get an opportunity to talk to her and she goes away, he doesn't even get an opportunity to ask her and their wedding was announced to him, he doesn't even get an opportunity to see her reaction on it and they kidnap her to that gupta house...wow!

As for Khushi she had no idea why after rushing her off to get tea for the gathering, and after this long hushed up discussion broken immediately if she cared to peep in , she had been literally dragged away from there. No explanations nothing. And no one stopped her! Her life was becoming more confusing than earthworms playing hide and seek in a noodle bowl..what were the Raizada's and Gupta's PVT Ltd upto??

"h..hello"

"how dare you? Samajhti kya ho tum apne aap ko khushi kumari gupta singh raizada?? mujhe?mujhe bina bataye chali gayi?i- tum- "

"toh aap hi bata dijiye hume ke aapke ghar pe hame kisi ne roka kyun nahin? Ya phir humse kaun si baat chupaiee ja rahi hai! Jab hame khud nahi pata kya ho raha hai toh hum aapko kya batayen?"

oh..so she didn't know as yet..thank goodness! So they had the brains to atleast let him break the news and ask!..ok...now, this was interesting..

"tumhe nahi pata?" (with a smirk)

"nahin!" she said, and he could hear her munching on jalebis..god! She had just finished a whole box in the afternoon! Unbelievable..

"toh tumhara jaane ka man nahi tha khushi" ...voice changed, mood changed, subject changed, ASR back in form...

"nah..hu..humne aisa kab kaha? Hum tho jana hi nahi chahte the wahan! Aapne zabardasti-"

"then what's the problem?"

she fumed.. "koi mushkil nahin hume, samjhe aap?" and crunched the jalebi a little harder... "vaise aa..aapne kya kaha tha?"

"kab?"

"woh subah...gadi se utar ke"

okay, so she had opened the subject..

"kya?"

"wahi"

"wahi kya?"

"aapko bhulne ki bhi bimari hai kya? Sab hame hi batana padega? Itni badi baat keh ke aap bhul kaise sakte hain-"

he smiled..

"itni badi baat?"(oh really..)

"matlab joh bhi ho, badi ya choti..bhul toh gaye na!"

"exactly..toh tum yaad dila do.."

by this time, she visualised him as a jalebi as she crunched it with all her might..raakshas, laad governer, shaitan..

"khushi main din bhar me logon se hazaar baaten kehta hoon..sab yaad rakhna is not important" (he was not going to forgive her for her reaction to such a momentous occasion of their life so easily )

"itni bhi zaroori baat nahi thi! SAMJHE AAP? AUR HAME KOI FARK BHI NAHI PADTA!"

by this time he was almost smiling...could he forget..

"yeah right...koi fark nahi padta..we'll see to that"..he murmered..enough of these 'fark nahi padta's '

wow...tommorrow was going to be some day..

"di maine khushi se baat kar li hai...tommorrow's fine with us.."

"aapne khushiji se puch liya? Phone pe? Aise hi? Who chodiye, unhone haan kar di!!" Arnav had never seen his sister as happy before..

she hugged him again..

"haan di...toh that's it then..kal aap apni shagun ceremony kar lena..i'm leaving"

"aap hume itni short notice dena kab band karenge!! jante bhi hain hume kitna kaam karna hai? Abhi toh..NANI!!" she shouted past him, too eager to give her news about something not even happened as yet

but Arnav had his own plans...tommorrow would certainly be fun..

after hours of cursing his memory, khushi could hardly wait to know whether he had really meant what he had said..

just as he was leaving the door his phone rang..must be Aman..wait,what? Khushi? Ohkaay...

"hello"

"hum khushi bol rahe hain"

"pata hai"

"hume laga aap 'BHUL' gaye honge"

"bahaut pareshan lag rahi ho?lagta hai kisi cheez se 'FARK PAD' raha hai"

"h..humne puchne ke liye call kiya hai ke humari koi cheez wahan reh toh nahi gayi..'KUCH' logon ki tarah humari 'BHULNE' ki aadat toh nahi hai..par agar hum galti se 'BHUL' gayen ho toh.."

this said with extra special stress to 'kuch log', 'bhulne', 'bhul'...arnav smiled all the while at her indirect hinting..

"maine check nahi kiya..kyunki 'KUCH' logon ki tarah mujhe bhi 'FARK NAHI PADTA' "

"haan"

"hume di ko phone karna chahiye tha"

"toh kar leti. Maine mana kiya tha?"

before she could retort, the phone was snatched from Arnav's hands..by anjali..

"hello khushiji?"

dammit! Raced through Arnav's mind..she would so spoil everything..panic mode

"hum bahaut khush hain khushiji.."

"kya?" she couldn't believe her ears; they were that happy she left??

"haan aur hamse toh int-"

before the phone was quickly snatched away from her hands.

She snatched it back. "aur aapko pata hai, chotte ke toh chehre se khushi chup hi nahi rahi" she giggled..

Arnav started feeling horrible. Teasing Khushi was one thing, he knew that these words would make her miserable. After all, she didn't know as yet...He snatched the phone back.

"itna bhi khush nahi hun di" loud enough for the voice to reach the receiver..

while an amazed Anjali stood wondering when she would understand these two...
