CHAPTER 1 : THE PRINCESS ARRIVES AT HER DESTINATION
Delhi Airport...4:50 pm..
Khushi paced back and forth in her tight fitting skinny jeans that were tucked in her high heeled boots.
She waited impatiently, for Payal to come out of the bathroom, as she swung her expensive leather jacket over her tank top...
She was about to barge in the women's bathroom, when Payal came out instantly, fixing her hair and looking here and there until she reached an irritated Khushi...
"Where have you been?...you know the driver, that Chachu had appointed for us, must already be here..." She said looking thoroughly annoyed but she knew what Payal would say...
"Well Khushi...you know its good to look your best wherever you go..."
"Ya ok...whatever...ok now can we go?..." She said as she got hold of their luggage cart and began walking towards the large exists doors, with Payal beside her.
Khushi looked over at her sister and smiled a bit. She knew how highly in fashion her sister was, along with her.
That's the reason she chose the AR industry to work at and gain some fashion business experience from the great Arnav Singh Raizada himself, whom she would be working beside with...
The mere name itself sent tingling sensation in her stomach. But she brushed the thought away thinking it must be due to jet lag...

After an hour worth of drive from the airport, they finally reached the Malhotra Mansion that was near another huge mansion called the Shantivan.
The driver had told Khushi and Payal in the car that the Malhotra Mansion and Shantivan were the only two houses that were located here in this area, so most of the land around the two houses were privately owned by both of the families...
After the servants and the caretaker of the mansion had welcomed them, Khushi and Payal had decided to go upstairs and find a room for themself...
Payal chose the room that had a huge window that was facing their huge garden...
Khushi let Payal settle and left to find a suitable room for herself..
Khushi came to a halt as she came near a room that was at the far end of the huge hallway..
She opened the bedroom door and her jaw dropped at the sight in front of her.
If she had thought that her bedroom back in Canada was big, then she was completely wrong...
This room was triple the size of her now old bedroom. A California king size bed was placed in the middle and was covered with satin sheets and a fluffy comforter.
She walked in and closed the door behind her...
She placed her luggage near the luxurious couch that was placed on the left side of the bedroom...
She walked around the room and admired it..
Just then her eyes instantly fell on a sliding door that probably led to...
"Omg!...a balcony..." She chirped to herself as she slided the door open and walked outside into the warm Delhi breeze..
She stretched away the tiredness in her and beamed at the setting sun in front of her..
Wonderful this was, she thought...
She noticed that another balcony was facing hers...
She assumed it was of the Shantivan's...
She walked back into her room leaving the sliding door open to let in some fresh air from outside...
She started walking where her luggage was and decided to change into something comfy for the night...
She walked into the huge bathroom, and saw that it had a steaming room and a jaccuzi, as well as a stand up shower..
She closed the bathroom door and decided to take a long bath, which she definitely needed...
...
After a while she came out of the tub and wrapped herself in a towel and towel dried her hair...
She walked out of the bathroom and put on her night suite, which was her baby pink short shorts and a white tank top..
Comfy, she thought...
...
Dinner had been served and both Payal and Khushi sat down to have their dinner which had all their favorite food.
After having a delicious dinner, Khushi and Payal both bid goodnight to each other and departed to their rooms..
Khushi instantly jumped onto her bed with a sigh...
Her tiredness was ebbing away, as sleep took over her instantly...
***Next Morning****
Raizada mansion (Shantivan), 7:15 am
Arnav Singh Raizada walked down the stairs of his house, in all his masculine glory..
He reached the huge Dining area and was greeted by his Di's motherly smile..
"Good Morning Di..." He said as she sat down on the table for his usual breakfast, which was just fruits and tea with less sugar...
"Morning my little brother..." She said as she pinched his nose slightly...
Akash, his cousin chuckled at the annoying look on Arnav's face but stopped instantly as he gave Akash one of his trademark looks...
He was about to take a bite of his apple, when a call interrupted him...
"Hey Arnav ...don't forget that today is your meeting with your intern, Khushi Malhotra..." Abhay, his colleague as well as his best-friend spoke with his usual cheery voice...
"Oh yaa...thanks Abhay...for reminding me...I actually had forgot...and hey you still haven't emailed me her details..." He said...starting to get annoyed at how careless Abhay could be...
"Oh sorry Arnav...I was actually uhh...um busy...ill send it to you before 11:30,since that's when she is expected to see you...sounds good?" Abhay tried his best to not make Arnav angry...
Boy oh boy was it bad to see that side of him, Abhay thought..
Arnav hung up the phone and finished with his breakfast quickly, while the name "Khushi Malhotra" lingered in his mind...
For some reason, he felt a weird feeling arise in his heart when he heard the girl's name...
"Why am I getting worked up at a mention of a girl's name?" He mumbled as he took everyone's leave and walked out...

"Khushi...Khushi!...wake up my sweets..." Payal said as she opened the curtains of the huge polished window, letting the naughty sun rays in...
"What Payal...let me sleep..." She mumbled as she rubbed her eyes and yawned...
"Oh so looks like someone forgot...today is your meeting with the owner of the AR industries...remember that you were to be his intern?..." Payal said as she rolled her eyes and left the room...
Khushi woke up and rubbed her head and squinted her eyes a bit due to the sun rays hitting her face...
"Of course I do, how can I forget that I'm supposed to be working beside the great Arnav Singh Raizada..." She said softly with a smile...
She quickly woke up and went to the balcony and watched the sun..
Maybe watching the sun gleaming in front of her could be a hobby of hers every morning..
She went back to her room and into the bathroom to take a shower...
After a while she came out in her towel and began looking for a suitable dress for the office...
She chose her best dress, to represent herself in a good manner..
She changed into the dress, and looked at herself in the huge framed mirror, placed on the side of her dressing table...
The dress seemed to fit her like a second skin and was reaching just above her knees..
She chose to wear black pumps to go with the dress..
She straightened her shoulder length hair and applied descent enough make up on..
She didn't want to over do her makeup and look like a dress up up raccoon..
Just some face powder, eye-liner, mascara and lip gloss was good enough for her...
She always saved the smokey eye look for parties and pubs...
She looked at herself one more time and checked the clock on the wall...it was 10:30..
She quickly walked downstairs and went over to the dining table where Payal was already having her cereal...
She sat down and put some toast on her plate and and orange juice in her glass...
She quickly swallowed down her food as she kept glancing her watch...
"Khushi...why haven't you been talking much ever since we came yesterday...?" Payal asked as she watched her cousin...
"Payal you know when I'm tired and all that I don't talk much, especially after such a long ass flight...I really wished that my meeting was like two-three days after I arrived here, but Mr. Raizada didn't have any free time after today, so dot...dot...dot.." She said as she rolled her eyes and finished her juice and got up..
"And don't worry ill be back to myself once I get the jet-lag out of my way..." She beamed at Payal and hugged her and bid her goodbye..
"Good Morning Miss.Malhotra...where are you off to today?" The old driver asked as he gently took his hat off a bit to greet her...
"The AR industries please..." She smiled and replied as she opened the car door and sat at the back seat, clutching her beige Gucci bag in her hand...

Arnav was sitting in his glass cabin, looking at his laptop..
Abhay had emailed him the information of Khushi Malhotra, like he said he would..
The only interesting thing he got to know about this girl was that she was from British Columbia, Canada and that she was the niece of famous Yash Malhotra...
Arnav had been really fond of Yash Malhotra and his work in the fashion industry...
Arnav also knew that the "Malhotra Fashion Empire" was originally owned by Sashi Malhotra but the company had been given to his brother after his death in a car accident, with his wife...
Arnav assumed that Khushi was the daughter of the original owner...
He was curious to know why Khushi Malhotra wanted to be an intern of his and wanted to join the AR industires, that was all the way in India, when she could have joined her family's huge business empire anytime...
He looked over at the clock at noticed it was 11:20...
"10 minutes Miss...Malhotra...10 minutes" he muttered with a little smirk on his face...

Khushi walked into the building and was stunned at how well managed the company's office was...
She started to feel nervous as everyone's eyes had now landed upon her, as if she was the only food left on this planet...
Was there something wrong in the way I look, she thought and quickly shook her head.
No way was she looking bad ofcourse...
But she chose not to care and gave them a smile smile before she reached the receptionist desk..
"Um I'm here for my meeting with Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada?" She asked as she smiled...
"And your name?..." The receptionist asked..
"My name is Khushi Malhotra..." She replied...
"Oh ok...alright Miss.Khushi...please follow me.."
The receptionist led khushi upstairs that seemed to lead to a glass cabin...
She fidgeted with her iPhone in her hand as she felt the nervous feeling arise in her stomach once again...
What was it about this man, or is it my jet lag again, she thought..
She shook her head and realized that they were now standing outside the cabin..
Please god, save me...she thought as she knocked on the door as soon as the nice lady left...
"Come in..." Replied a husky voice...
She sighed a bit and opened the door and stepped in...
She closed the door and noticed that the person sitting in the chair, had its back facing her...along with the chair so she wasn't able to see his face...
"Um...hi sir I'm Khushi Malhotra" she tried her best not to stutter with her words...

Arnav turned around as soon as he heard her speak and was almost pushed off his chair at the sight in front him...
My oh my was she beau-, wait what am I thinking, he thought as he mentally smacked himself...
She had endless long smooth creamy legs and the black pumps made her stand even taller...
The dress she wore defined her petite figure more, especially around her slim waist...
She looked marvelous, no, more like a goddess of beauty...
When he looked into her eyes, he completely lost it..
Her hazel eyes with a hint of green, were gleaming and sparkling at him...
Just then his eyes instantly fell on her lips. Her lips, which were plump and glossy, were as though they were calling him...begging him ...to capture them in an endless kiss...
He again shook her head and walked towards where she was standing..
"Hello Miss. Khushi Malhotra...welcome..." He said as he extended his hand to shake it with hers...
She instantly took it...
"Thank you Mr. Raizada...its a pleasure to meet you..."
As soon as she had touched his hand, he felt waves of electric current pass through in his body, as though he had been electrocuted...
He let go of her hand and walked back to his seat..
"Please take a seat Miss. Khushi..." He said as he himself sat down...
This was going to be fun, he thought as he smirked inside...
