Hey friends! 🤗 Finally the next update is here after a long long time! 😃 Sorry to keep you guys waiting for so long! I hope you like the update, and for all those who forgot what happened in the last update, I've written a recap too.😛
Recap:- Gunjan tries to ask Samrat whether he is trying to hide something from her, to which he firmly denies and leaves for office. On Suhani's suggestion, Gunjan goes to meet her parents in order to give the invitation card of Suhani's wedding. Padma is delighted to see her daughter, but Shashank is equally angry on her and is not willing to talk to her. Gunjan tries to explain him that she is happy with Samrat and they need to forget the past, but Shashank denies, saying that his own daughter broke his trust. After a heart-breaking conversation she goes back. When Samrat returns back in evening, Gunjan tells him everything about her meeting with Shashank. Samrat tries to pacify her and tells her not to worry, as he will always stand by her to shower love and happiness on her.😳

Part-34
Gunjan remained upset with the cold behaviour of Shashank towards her. Though she knew that this was justified, yet she was not ready to accept it. She tried forgetting that incident, but in vain. Even samrat was upset to see his wife in this state. She tried to be happy in front of him, but he was able to see the hidden pain behind her fake smile. Her sadness was forcing him to speak out the truth to her, so that she didn't felt guilty, but on the other hand, he did not dare to speak to her about Shashank.
And this added more to gunjan's problems, as she could clearly sense out that samrat wasn't willing to tell her anything. They both even had several arguments regarding this issue.
"Main pehle se hi bahut pareshan hun samrat! Ab mujhe aur pareshani karne ki koshish mat karo! Aakhir mujhe batate kyun nahi ho ki baat kya hai?" gunjan growled.
"Jab koi baat hai hi nahi toh main kya bataun tumhe?" he too screamed on top of his voice, but without looking at her.
"achha? Itna toh main achhe se jaanti hun ki tum mujhe batana nahi chahte! Pata nahi aisi kaunsi baat hai jo tum mujhse chhupa ke rakhna chahte ho!"
"haan main nahi batana chahta hun tumhe! Khush?"
Samrat screamed a bit louder, which made gunjan tremble in fear. There was silence for a moment, when samrat realized that he shouldn't have reacted in this way. He turned behind to see gunjan standing with teary eyes, looking at him intently.
"look gunjan I'm sorry, lekin main kya karun?"
"mujhe bata do samrat ki tum mujhse kya chhupa rahe ho? Kya maine koi galti ki hai jiski wajah se tum mujhse aise….."
"not at all! Tum jaanti ho ki agar tum koi galti karti toh main tumse aa kar kehta, lekin samajhne ki koshish karo…. Kuchh baatein agar na hi kahi jaayein toh achha hota hai."
"lekin main jaanna chahti hun samrat….. Please mujhe bata do!"
Gunjan pleaded continuously, but he was firm on his decision. Yet he decided to tell her everything, but only after suhani's wedding, as all were extremely joyful regarding the marriage, and whatever he would say, it would affect her badly.
OoO
Gunjan was still adamant to know what samrat was hiding from her. And it was such a thing that she could not even guess about it! Samrat did not have a habit to hide things from gunjan, who earlier was his best friend, and now, his wife. And being a wife, she had the full right to know it. And her curiosity had reached to such a level that gunjan ended up calling dia one fine afternoon, when samrat was busy in office.
Lucky for her, that dia quickly received her call, and after a brief conversation about the well being of each other, gunjan expressed her state of mind to dia, which left her perplexed.
"I don't get it gunjan! What's the matter you're talking about? Dia questioned in the same tone.
"It's a bit amusing for me dia that I'm calling my husband's friend to know that what he is hiding from me!" Gunjan said in a sarcastic tone, with a bit jealousy, "But I'm damn sure that you are the only one who must be knowing it! After all you're his best friend. But it seems that no one wants me to know the truth…"
"Hey look gunjan, it's not like that. There must be some reason behind samrat not telling you anything! So how am I supposed to tell you?" dia said with concern, understanding what exactly the matter was, and what truth she was talking about. "Even samrat hates to keep secrets from you… but this time, it's not only about him…"
"then… who else?" gunjan questioned, her heart beating at a faster rate. But when she did not got any reply from dia, she became a bit irritated, "speak dia? Tell me what's the matter?"
On the other side, dia was too afraid to tell her the truth, but she thought that now there was no use of pulling this matter. Gunjan's much pleadings made her speak out. And once she started speaking about Shashank, gunjan seemed to be frozen at her place. Gunjan's father, Shashank, who was against her relation with samrat, was the same person because of whom gunjan and samrat separated from each other and developed hatred for each other.
Dia continued further, "I know you won't believe me gunjan, but this it true. Your father was the reason behind your hatred for samrat. He was the main reason for getting samrat involved in the cheating case during final exams!
"My… father… can't do… this…"
"this is why samrat wasn't telling you anything!" dia said with a heavy heart. "he knew that you'll not believe it!"
"No, dia… my-father… can't do… he can't do this…." Gunjan repeat only these words, but dia's silence made her realize that whatever she heard was true. A bitter truth. She felt herself shuddered and not able to bear anymore, she collapsed onto the floor, and phone fell down from her hands in shock, and she remained sitting on her knees, with dia's words echoing loudly in her ears. "papa aisa…… nahi kar sakte….. dia aur…. Samrat ko zarur koi… mis-understanding hui hai…." Gunjan tried to calm down herself by speaking these words, but it was of no use. She felt completely shattered.
OoO
Suhani's mehendi ceremony was carried out smoothly, without any hurdle. Samrat was busy mingling up with the guests, while gunjan tried her level best to smile in front of everyone, and especially to samrat, so that he may not come to know about her conversation with dia. She tried to keep herself occupied, though her state of mind was really disturbed. She was still thinking about Shashank, and why he did all this… whether he had some motive behind it? But why would a father do such a thing to his own daughter? She needed to know the full truth… each and everything, and this time, it was going to be samrat's chance to clarify the matter to her.
OoO
After the party was over, and all were resting in their respective rooms, gunjan decided to discuss the matter with samrat, who was waiting for gunjan to finish her works and come in the room, so they could spend some time alone, after being away from each other for the entire day.
"so finally aapka saara kam khatam ho gaya Mrs. Shergill..!" samrat's face glowed with a wide smile, when he saw gunjan coming in the room.
"haan Mr. Shergill, aur aapke liye ye garma garam coffee, taaki aapki din bhar ki thakaan door ho jaaye!"
Gunjan smiled and sat beside him, handing him the coffee mug. Samrat took a sip of coffee, and then made gunjan drink a sip. She smiled shyly at his sweet gesture of love. And then suddenly she remembered that she was supposed to talk to him about Shashank.
"Kya hua jaan?" samrat asked, looking at the changed expression of his wife. "aaj party mein bhi kuchh pareshani lag rahi thi tum…. Koi baat hai toh batao na mujhe?"
"baat toh hai samrat…… aur… main tumse wahi baat kehna chahti hun!" she said.
"toh kaho na?"
Samrat drank his coffee with still a cool mind and gunjan smiled at him slightly before speaking, thinking that what kind of a person he was, who took all the blame on himself and did not said a word to gunjan even after knowing the truth! "College mein final exams ke time papa ki wajah se hi tum cheating case mein involve hue the, hai na?"
She would have barely finished speaking, when samrat looked at her in extreme shock. While gunjan still had the same look on her face, samrat was numb about what to speak now, how to answer her question, and moreover, from where she got to know about it! It was as if gunjan could read his mind, and immediately answered his question.
"aaj meri dia se baat hui thi… tumhari tarah wo bhi mujhe kuchh batane ko taiyyar nahi thi, lekin mere bahut force karne par usne mujhe bataya.!"
"Gunjan… tum theek ho…?" samrat could ask only this much, as he was worried that how must be she feeling after knowing what her father had done!
"Main theek hun samrat, lekin main ye soch kar hairaan hun ki itni badi baat tumne mujhse chhupayi kaise?" gunjan said, "tumne cheating jaisa ghatiya blame apne upar kaise le liya? Aur jab tumhe pata chala ki in sab ke peechhe mere papa ka haath hai, fir tumne mujhe kyun nahi bataya?"
"Mujhe nahi laga tha ki tum meri baaton ka vishwaas karogi. Jab sabne mujhe galat samjha, tum bhi un mein se ek thi. Main kis tarah tumhe batata ki in sabki wajah…. Dr. Shashank hain!" he stammered, still looking at gunjan in concern.
"lekin….. ye sab….. kyun hua…?"
"Jab dia ne tumhe sab bata hi dia hai toh…. Fir mujhse puchhna ka matlab kya hai…"
"Main tumhare moonh se poora sach jaanna chahti hun samrat!" she said, "batao mujhe… kyun kiya papa ne aisa? Aur tumne mujhe bataya kyun nahi?"
"Main tumhe sab bata dunga….. lekin…. Kya tum sun paogi? Tumhe takleef nahi hogi?"
"Jitni takleef honi thi mujhe wo ho chuki hai…. Aur waise bhi, jab aadha sach jaan hi liya hai, toh poora sach jaanne mein kya takleef hogi!"
She said, as tears formed in her eyes. As she had to hear samrat with much courage, he too needed to gather enough courage to speak out the bitter truth.
"Dia ne tumse jo bhi kaha hai, wo sach hai. Dr. Shashank ko ye baat pata chal gayi thi, ki main tumse pyaar karta hun, lekin wo hamesha se hi tumhari shaadi armaan ke saath karwana chahte the…. Unhe iss baat ka darr tha, ki kahin tum mujhse pyaar na karne lago, isliye unhone situation kuchh aise bana dia, ki tum mujhe galat samajhne lago, aur mujhpar se tumhara vishwaas uth jaaye. Final exams ke time principal ke saath milkar unhone mujhe cheating case mein involve kiya….. lekin tab mujhe ye sab nahi pata tha. Main jab yahan se London chala gaya, tab mere dad aur Dr. Shashank mein baat hui, aur uske baad mujhe sach ka pata chala!"
Gunjan kept on listening to those cruel words, which pierced her heart every second. Further, samrat admitted that Dr. Shashank created such situations which led gunjan to leave India and go away from samrat, so that she could marry armaan. But who knew that destiny had something else stored in for them, and samrat and gunjan would end up marrying each other!
"Trust me gunjan, main tumhe sab sach batana chahta tha…. Taaki tum mujhpar phir se vishwaas karo, hum phir se dost ban jaayein, lekin tab tak bahut der ho chuki thi… Dr. Shashank tumhe India se bhej chuke the…. Uske baad mujh mein itni himmat nahi thi ki main tumse…. Tumhare papa ke baare mein…. Aisa kahun…." He said, "tumhe agar mujhpar vishwaas na ho toh….
"Gunjan… tumhe… meri baaton ka-itni asaani se… yakeen kaise…" samrat muttered in surprise, to which gunjan smiled slightly.
"I know ki tumhe ajeeb lag raha hai… lekin sach kahun, toh jab dia ne mujhe bataya tha, toh mujhe uski baaton ka bilkul bhi bharosa nahi tha. Uss pal mujhe aisa laga, jaise koi aake mujhse ye keh de ki ye sab mazaak hai, jhooth hai. Sach hamesha kadwa hota hai…. Ye bhi ek kadwa sach hai, par hai toh sach hi na!"
Saying this, gunjan hugged samrat tightly, sobbing loudly, while samrat had wrapped his hands around her to give her comfort, to console her, and to tell her that she need not worry about anything. But how was it possible for a daughter to bear the fact that her own father had unknowingly ruined her life!
"Papa ne aisa kyun kiya samrat….. Agar hum ek dusre se pyaar karte bhi, toh unhe kyun iss baat se takleef thi?" she looked at him innocently.
"Ssshhh…. Gunjan calm down." He whispered softly, "wo tumhare papa hain… wo tumhara future achha banana chahte the…. Unka yehi maanna tha, ki tum mere saath nahi khush reh sakti ho…. Unhone jo bhi kiya, tumhari khushi ke liye hi kiya tha…"
"hamari dosti tootne se mujhe kaunsi khushi milti samrat? Tumpar cheating ka ilzaam lagne se mujhe kaunsi khushi mil jaati?" she cried, "tumse itne saal door rehkar, tum par bharosa na karke mujhe kaunsi khushi mil jaati, batao mujhe?"
Samrat remained quite. He had no answers to her questions. Even after knowing that now all was fine and this topic was needed to be closed, gunjan went on crying. Samrat asked her to forget all those things, as now they had to live in present and think for their bright future. *But what about our dark past, which could have been much better if these mis-understandings were not created?* gunjan thought to herself. Nothing could be done to the time passed away. No person can go back in past and change it. The best thing is in forgetting it, if it gives you much pain.
OoO
Samrat was not ready to go to office the next day, leaving his upset wife alone at home. He knew that gunjan would be upset because of last day, but she assured him that she was fine. Infact, she had to be fine! And moreover, she wasn't alone; she still had to complete the arrangements for suhani's wedding, which was to be held just after three days. "Good Bye!" she smiled and left him till the main door, and then she made up her mind to meet Shashank- to confront her own father.
Precap-: Will the things sort out between Gunjan and Shashank?
