"We shouldn't be allowed to be this happy" Khushi stated nonchalantly as she tumbled down to sanity in his arms.
What had occurred as soon as Arnav found out that she was no longer menstruating was a carnal demonstration of the love he felt for this woman, his animalistic ways getting the better off him as he tore of the buttons and ripped off her underwear all he knew was he needed her and needed her so badly that it possessed him beyond normal thinking. And Khushi revelled in it, she admired his control and purred at his touches her levels of excitement found a new peak they could reach as he touched her in intimate places.
Following this animalistic behaviour as some may address it as, was a slow deep and sensual meeting of love. He took his time this time round, he teased and lavished, and he showered her affection in places they had not yet explored, taking them both to such escalating heights beyond the human imagination.
So now as Khushi stated such a fact Arnav was scared to say she was right, it seemed the God's had finally favoured them with their long lost happiness, it rained down on them as they took pleasure in each other, finding solace and comfort in each other.
But sadly their fears were confirmed as a steaming Payal was already to ignite the flames further.
It was no surprise then that she waiting in the kitchen for Khushi, and as she washed the dishes she begun her tirade of torture.
"How easy was it Khushi?"
"I'm sorry?" Khushi asked.
"How easy was it to be bought?"
"I beg your pardon?"
"You are aware of your marriage deal right?"
"Deal?" Khushi was not prepared for this.
"Jhet-ji did not tell you?"
Khushi denied with a shake off a head.
"Its okay I will" Her tone suddenly changed to a cheerful one, after all what else could be better than the destruction of the competition.
She began then, telling her the reality of her marriage dictating the real reason why she was wedded into the house and Khushi with all her might stumbled, and she physically stumbled.
What was the word associated with a woman like that?
wh**e? Her hands visibly shook as she clasped a hand on her mouth, trying to stop the meaning less thoughts from flowing.
"Think about it Khushi, really why would a man like Arnav marry a woman like you?" And it was with this stinging stab Payal stepped out of the kitchen, suddenly proud of her dirty work. And Khushi sunk to the kitchen floor, how many times had someone deceived her? How many times had someone said something and meant something else? She sighed defeatedly giving up of everything, her faith, her hope, her everything was lost.
It was all lost.
_ _
Marriage was a stair case, a rickety, bent, pebbly staircase it was best climbed with the support of another and when that support was lost, missing or just not wanted marriage was hard. When there was no one to catch you with every stumble, when there was no one who could help you overcomes those hurdles marriage was suddenly tedious and far too hard.
This was Khushi at present, she didn't want his help, and after all she had an education didn't she? She would ask him if what was stated was true and if it was then she would not compromise her life anymore she would set off sail with a life that only had her desires and wishes in it.
But how could she? How could she tell him the feeling that coursed through her veins as Payal told her the reality, her optimistic faith was crushed, just like an insect under a foot.
It was gone, wasted.
So she done what she always did when things didn't go her way, she kept quiet, and thought endlessly, and even though her mouth was on mute it did not mean her mind was, she shredded through everything that had possibly transpired between the two finding some sort of faith, but she came up short even the last thread was cut short.
So it should always be noted that the tale our mothers told us when we were younger actually hold some sort of meaning. If anyone of us can recall the story of laughter and happiness then they would know exactly where Arnav and Khushi were at present.
It seemed to everyone, Khushi's behaviour had taken a drastic turn; her responses were not the same, her movements, her everything. Heck Khushi was not the same, she responded when spoken too normally as soon as she saw him she would burst into speech talking about her day and what she approved off, what she disliked and he would find comfort in it, find some sort of peace that was missing from his life.
Her movements were once fluid, happy, and joyful now there was a subdued less loud less clumsy Khushi.
She seemed to cook half heartedly, that was evident in the food that was tasted, it didn't have that filling feeling that was present before.
Now there was nothing.
She seemed so quiet it was like the quiet that brewed before the tempest arrived.
So one day Arnav had had enough, he wanted to confront the problem rather than run away from it.
So like always he approached her "What's wrong Khushi?"
"Nothing" She said, her voice calm, like always and it was this calm voice that triggered his temper to its worst.
"I am sick and tired of hearing nothing, why don't you tell me what the f***ing problem is?" He barked.
"Nothing" She tried to move away from him, but being Arnav Singh Raizada meant you had reflexes that were fast enough to catch out the prey.
So he clamped a hand round her arm stopping her movements, she struggled, wriggled under his hold but he did not budge his grip firm, he looked at her his eyes solid on her bent head.
"Its evident I'm not going to let you go, so just tell me?" He invited, this time his tone softer, his grip slackened, his thumb moving soft circles on her forearm.
"Will you answer honestly?"
"Yes" He said all too once, little did Arnav Singh Raizada know that this one 'Yes' was going to work against him.
