hey everyone! I updated despite exams! here goes the part 7. But i expect more comments this time coz i wrote during my exams! forgive me for the errors, if any!
Part-7
Khushi, kept her "thaal"(the plate used for worshipping) aside, and convered her head gently with her dupatta before entering the temple. She then picked up her thaal, removed her footwear and proceeded to climb the stairs. The next moment, she was there up, praying with all her heart for her sister's happy life when suddenly something touched her. The gust of wind that had just touched her had something unusual within it.
The very same moment, Arnav Singh Raizada, leaving all his pride about writing his own future, had stepped onto the first step of the temple. Yes, the same ruthless business tycoon who had once claimed that he came to temples only for his sister, had now found a new purpose to go upstairs. He could feel her presence up there.
The suddenly blowing wind brought with itself the feeling of Arnav's presence to Khushi. She thought, for a mere second, that she felt him. Her thoughts were disrupted when the priest came to give her the "prasad". She considered herself insane for imagining Arnav in the 'temple' and proceeded towards behind the temple. Arnav came upstairs with his di and started looking here and there to spot her. He excused himself from his sister and went towards behind the temple.
"Bhaiyaji, vo vali dikhaiye na." Khushi said, pointing towards numerous red bangles,that matched exactly with her dress.
Hearing her, Arnav went towards her and helped her from behind her in wearing the bangles that she was trying to. Surprised at someone's touch Khushi turned back immediately.Khushi was so shocked that she was almost about to faint. Arnav Singh Raizada and that too in the temple."You are dreaming Khushi Kumaari Gupta."thinking this, khushi pinched herself to check the reality.
"Ouch!..aaa-a-p ya-aha-an.."stammered Khushi. (You here..?")
"haan, me ya-aha-an."Arnav replied in the same stammering Khushi did.(ya, me here.)
Before she could say anything further he "sshhh"ed her and then continued putting bangles in her hands one by one, slowly, tenderly, to get the soft feel of her hands beneath his skin. She was dumbstruck. She was speechless. She was mermerized. Above all, She was Happy!
After putting all the bangles on her hand, he said "The bangles were not so great when they were there(he pointed where the bangles hung initially), but here, they look beautiful (he now pointed towards her wrist).
Khushi blushed unwantingly. It was natural for her to get red when Arnav neared her. Pointing at another set of red bangles, Arnav told the shopkeeper that he wanted to buy both the pairs of bangles.
"Yeh, meri taraf se."(these, from my side). Arnav said giving the second set of bangles to khushi.
"lekin..."(but...)
Khushi's statement was paused when she saw the look in Arnav's eyes which said "I love it when you wear my gifted bangles."
Yes, they could read the volumes hidden in their eyes. The saying "Eyes are the mirror of the soul" perfectly fitted them. They stood there, looking into each other's eyes for time which seemed like ages.
After finally realizing the ten more pairs of eyes on them, (the people around them, How can they not stare at such a beautiful couple) they moved a little away.
Khushi, smiled and so did Arnav.
"Khushi, how come your hair are down today, not in plaits?" Arnav asked mockingly, he knew the answer.
"ummm, Just like that, nothing special." Khushi knew Arnav would have known that she was lying as she felt nervous while replying.
Arnav smirked, but what caught his attention was his ringing phone. He picked up and told his di that he would be there in sometime.
"Oh, so Anjaliji is also here..where is she?" khushi asked changing the topic.
"She has to be in the temple only na, hum bhi na, hum jaate hai unse milne.."(i'll go and meet her)
Khushi answered herself and started moving towards the inside of temple.
"Khushi.."Arnav called out to her as she was about to leave. She turned back and met him straight in his eyes.
"I liked it that you kept your hair down because I like them that way."Arnav said, with a smirk.
Khushi blushed but this time managed to reply " And I like it when you like it." Saying this she ran away. Arnav was very happy. Her last words echoed in his mind again and again.
