Hey everyone,
I am immensely thankful to people who have waited for so long for 'Rightfully yours' to be updated. I have updated this but I dont know if you would like to read it anymore or not.
Also, this part is inspired from a scene in 'Vivaah', as some of you predicted! I hope you guys like it.
Part-20A bride-a typical hindu bride would have been adorned with a heavy red attire, beautiful complimenting jewellery and the red shyness on her face. Khushi had the same thing with her, but only the heaviness of things being reduced owing to the situation. She wore a red saree with a silver embroidery. Her jewellery was minimal which enhanced her natural beauty. Her cheeks blushed crimson, the bridal shyness. No where did she look like a bride. She looked like a beauty in red who had just descended from heaven. But Arnav knew khushi better. He knew now why she hadnt turned up last night , he knew what she was upto. He knew she was ready to marry him, then and there , without thinking of any other consequences. He could see what her fisted hand carried. She moved towards him, slowly, and sat down beside him.
"But Khushi..."
"No buts Arnav. Its our marriage day."
"No Khushi , listen. Look at me once, I wounded all the way. I dont have the strength to walk nor to stand on my own legs. I am a helpless person dependent on others for even the smallest thing. See, look at me Khushi. Look. Dont waste your life on a wasted person like me."
"Arnav, do you really think my love is weak enough to consider these non-sensical things? Arnav, I dont need to know any of those things. Look through my eyes arnav, and you'll see yourself standing with the utmost grace. Let me be your strength arnav. Let me be your feet to guide you in OUR life. I love you Arnav and thats what matters. I love your soul Arnav and its joined to mine. "
"But Khushi.. Love only cannot be strong enough to spend a lifetime.I am not worth your love, khushi."
Khushi took his hand and placed it over her heart. She commanded him to close his eyes. He did as told.
"Listen, to my heart Arnav. Feel it. Forget everything else, just feel this.It beats for you. Do you realize how fast it gets when you come nearer. It goes slow when you are angry or when you dont talk to me. It might just stop if you talk of going away from me, forever."
After some 2 minutes he opened his eyes and looked at her. Tears escaped his eyes and she immediately wiped them off.
"Arnav, its the most memorable day of our life. Lets fill it with only happiness."
She held out a golden box full of sindoor infront of him. "Make me yours, Rightfully yours."
He extended his hand and took a pinch of the red powder and filled her forehead with it. She closed her eyes in pure bliss. He then took the mangalsutra and with her help, tied it around her neck. She bent forward and kissed his forehead.
"Never say you are not worth my love. This love is meant only for you."
They hugged each other. Arnav felt some unknown mixed emotions. He realized the value of being loved unconditionally. He realized the true meaning of love. He knew from now onwards, not he, but his Khushi will be writing his destiny for his own good. He was happy beyond description. He felt as if he was the luckiest man in the world.
The winds swayed in full happiness, the sun shone brightly spreading a huge smile, the plants, the trees everyone were rejoicing for being the witness of their unconditional , undescribable love. Not only these nature's creations, the entire hospital, the doctors, the nurses, everyone had witnessed their tale standind at the door. The raizadas and guptas were also present. But the to love birds were too lost to think of anything else.
Khushi turned around to notice some smiling faces and some teary eyes behind. They all entered and hugged and congratulated them. Aakash gave some money to the wardboy to get sweets for all the staff at the hospital. The room in which Arnav was there was decorated with flowers and candles as a welcome to the new happiness.
The doctor , who was also there inside spoke up.
"Mr.Raizada, I must say you are a lucky man indeed. Forget about lovers and fiances, I have seen family members abondoning their child after such a big mishap. But for the first time in my life, I have seen such unconditional love. "
Arnav looked at Khushi with admiration. The look in his eyes told Khushi how proud he was to own her.
"Mr. and Mrs.Raizada, welcome to your new life." the doctor said.
