What was she supposed to expect? Is that even a question? , she asked herself. She kept her eyes closed , knowing he would lash out at her. He would feel betrayed , for she had kept the truth from him for so long.
"khushi", she heard her name being called out . "Open your eyes". , his tone was glazed with sympathy.
She opened them and looked into his eyes. Her heart stopped beating . His face was smudged with tears .tears that flowed uncontrollably. The man who had the power to hold back his weakness , who could drink his sorrow had released the reigns today.
' So khushi had wronged him , wronged him in a way that would be hard to forget. She had confided every joyful and painful moment of her life .
Today , it was no longer her. Arnav felt a stabbing pain tear him through. He was unaware of the thorns that kept piercing through her life all this while. And he had only inserted them deeper.'
" Why didn't u tell me this before?", he asked.
Khushi found herself falling in an abyss of hope and disappointed. Disappointed because there were no scalding words to greet her. He had believed her , and hope because this would end a war that waged between them since the day they had met.
A smile appeared on her lips. A smile that contained the happiness of the trust he had on her. It was real.
" I always wanted to. But-but never found the strength. I was foolish to think that he might change.I thought he will change his ways and love anjali di. I was mistaken to think that the child will overturn his black heart. I 'I was wrong. ", she sobbed .
He knew he had to stand by her.' How could I even think she loved him. ?'., his voice rang in his head.
It was destiny who had played the game . The curtain was over his eyes.
" I m sorry khushi. I married you to save my sister's life. I married you because I had to teach shyam a lesson. I married you because who had broken me from within.I thought you and shyam '", he stopped there, unable to spit out the words that disgusted him.
He started to despise himself. All the times he had inflicted pain on her. How he had treated her all this while. How he had never answered her. It all felt wrong.

" I had come that day on the terrace. I saw you in his- "now wishing he could go back in time and pull her away from those lusty arms. " U asked him to break his marriage, making me believe that u wished to be with him forever. ".It was the wrong time and the wrong place.
They stayed silent connecting every dot that had brought this day.
She lifted her arms and placed them softly across his cheeks. In a soft voice she questioned him," Why is it that when you are near me ,my heart beats faster. Y is it that I try to forget everything about you but can't bring myself to do so? Tell me please."
He wiped the last tear that had welled in his eye. Slowly he placed his palms across her cheek.
"That is because when I am near you our hearts beat together.They become one "
It was an eternal moment.
"khushi,come we have got some serious work to do".
She understood what he meant. It was time shyam needed to be shown his place.
