Part 19

Khushi wakes up moaning, when Arnav's wet hair delivers tiny droplets on her face. Opening her eyes slowly, she sees Arnav bending down upon her, still in his towel. He did that many times even before, coming out of the shower in the towel just to make her restless, but this time he looked happy. Really happy. Khushi puts her arms around Arnav's neck pulling him closer to her face and smiles. Arnav bends down to give a kiss on her cheek. Khushi smiles and wishes him good morning. He gets off the bed, starts getting ready while Khushi goes to washroom and gets ready. Both doing final touches get welcomed by a knock on their door.

HP: Arnavji, bari bahuriya! Breakfast is ready! Come down soon.

Khushi: coming, HP ji

Arnav and Khushi both walk to the dining table where Payash are already seated ready to dig in. Everyone has breakfast and share some more stories of the household, while Arnav plays with Khushi's legs and makes her feel awkward and naughty at the same time. Khushi eyes Arnav and tells him to stop, but as usual, Arnav continues.

Arnav coughs: So, HP, is all traffic clear now? We need to go to the resort today.

HP: yes arnavji, all arrangements have been made.

Arnav: good! Payash get ready and we will leave in an hour? Yeah, is that okay with you two?

Payash nod and they all leave to get their stuff together and pack and put in the car.

Khushi packs a whole load of food for the journey which irks Arnav but he lets it go because its his honeymoon after all with HER.

They all get ready to leave for the resort. Khushi and Payal walk down the stairs linking arms while Arnav and Akash wait for them at the bottom of the stairs. Suddenly, Khushi feels dizzy and she faints, while Payal struggles to keep a hold of her. Arnav runs upto Khushi and holds her with the support of Payal. He takes complete hold of her, picks her up and takes her back to the bedroom and puts her on the bed carefully. He caresses her head while Akash calls HP to call the doctor. Payal brings a glass of water and sprinkles some on Khushis face.

Payal: Wake up Khushi. Khushi. Wake up.

The doctor comes when Payal is sprinkling water on her face. He seats down where Payal was and start checking Khushis vitals. He removes the stethoscope after checking everything.

Arnav: Doctor, is everything okay?

Dcotor: Mr. Raizada..

Payal: Doctor, will my sister be alright? I hope she is okay.

Akash puts his hand on Payal's shoulder and squeezes it a little. He gives her a reassurance look and she nods.

Doctor: There is nothing to worry about, Mr. Raizada. Infact its good news, she is pregnant.

Arnav's eyes sparkle with excitement.

Doctor: But, you have to take care of her. She cannot take stress or exhaustion. Her vitals are still below normal, so make sure she gets plenty of rest and don't let her exert herself. This is her first pregnancy?

Arnav: yes, doctor.

Doctor: Okay. Just make sure she rests a lot and keep her happy all the time. That's all.

Arnav: Okay, thank you doctor. Akash, will you please see the doctor to the main door? Thanks.

Akash nods and goes with the doctor to see him off.

Payal: Congratulations, Arnavji.

Arnav: Thanks Payal.

Akash walks in and hugs Arnav: Congrats Bhai. You have made us all very happy. Thank you. I cant believe I am going to be a Chacha soon. And Payal, you are going to be chichi.

Payal nods and caresses Khushi's face.

Akash: HP, bring some sugarfree sweets.

HP goes and brings sweets: Arnavji, so when will you be leaving for the resort now then?

Akash: we are not going now HP. We will stay here until khushi feels better.

Arnav: no, akash, you guys carry on. We will wait here until you guys come back, then we will go home together.

Akash: no bhai, we are not going to leave you here. Payal nods.

Arnav: We cant go home yet because Anjali di will otherwise leave home. We need to sort out something for Shyam to get out of the house before we can go home. He tells Payash everything. Akash and Payal agree to help him.

Arnav: we will start the plan after you guys come back from the resort. Till then, Khushi will also get some time to recover. Okay?

Akash nods. He takes Payal and they both leave for the resort while Khushi still lays unconscious.

Arnav caresses her hair lying down next to her, looking at her, his eyes all teary.

Khushi opens her eyes, gets up and sits on the bed and sees Arnav: What happened, Arnavji?

Arnav also gets up, and quickly hugs her: Thank you.

He places a kiss on her forehead. She closes her eyes in contentment.

Khushi: for what? For falling unconscious?

Arnav: No. for making me a papa.

He smiles so widely and remembers Anjalis lines. It's true, Only Khushi could make him this happy that his smile would not disappear.

Khushis eyes widen in surprise and then she smiles putting a hand on her tummy: Really?

Arnav puts his hand on her hand: Yes, Mrs. Laad Governor. Now you are going to be mama Governor, and I am going to be papa governor. We will soon have our own baby lord governor. I am so excited khushi.

He grabs her in a hug again: Thank you Khushi.

Khushi hugs his back. She then enquires about Payash. He tells her that they have left for the resort and that she is not allowed yet to travel. So, she makes a face but then enjoys the attention arnav gives her by just looking at her and smiling continuously. She closes her eyes, and thanks her father and mother. She then quickly gets out of bed and calls HP.

Khushi: I want to see the picture of Arnav's father and mother.

HP: Congratulations Khushi bitiya.

Khushi: thanks HP, now can I please see the photo?

HP looks at Arnav. Arnav nods and HP goes to bring the photo.

Khushi takes it from him and puts it on a table and bends down infront of them, then closes her eyes and prays. "Thank you so much for Arnavji. Without you, my arnavji wouldn't have been here. I didnt have a chance to see you but I thank you. Please shower us with your blessings mum-dad"

Arnav looks at her while she prays "How innocent is she. That's why I love her." He smiles again. And then makes her rest in the bed while he goes downstairs and calls everyone at home to tell them about the good news. Everyone gets happy, even Anjali. She gets the proof she was asking Khushi-Arnav for. Her doubt for Khushi reduces. He comes back in the room only to find Khushi sitting on the bed looking up at the picture of his parents.

Arnav: Khushi, can I take this photo now?

Khushi: NO, we are going to take it back with us to Delhi. I love it.

Arnav remembers what doctor said: He just agrees with whatever she requests.

He then tells her to rest while HP brings some fruits and juice for her.

Khushi: Arnavji, I am getting bored. Can we go out somewhere?

Arnav: no. not at all khushi. You need the rest.

Khushi: I am not the first lady to be pregnant, arnavji. Everyone goes out. no one need this much rest.

Arnav: no, first eat these fruits and drink this juice. And then take some rest. Then we can go out in the evening.

Khushi nods in excitement and then quickly lies down on the bed. Arnav caresses her head while she sleeps. Then he takes out his laptop and starts doing some work.
