Part 10

Flowers are being showered from everywhere, rose water can be smelt, the original soft yet very creamy smell of it, everyone is happy, smiling looking up towards and stairs and there appears Khushi in her red wedding dress. She is adorned with red lehnga, sequin-filled, pom-poms on the borders, walking down the stairs. Walking shyly, she looks up and there is the man of her dreams, ASR. She starts running down the stairs. It's their wedding and they are both happy. Arnav is wearing an orange-red-golden shervani and has a red chunni in his neck. He is standing smiling looking at Khushi who is only a few metres away from him. He opens his arms to let her complete him, and there she comes running in slow motion and slightly jumps on him, he catches her and they both share a passionate hug. Her arms around his neck and his arms holding her from her waist...he literally sweeps her off the ground. They both go and sit around the fire, when suddenly Akash comes and shakes Arnav "Bhai, Utho, Bhai wake up" confused Arnav looks up at him...and with blurred vision, he can now see Akash trying to wake him up from his dream.

"Bhai wake up, Bhai"

Arnav: huhhh

Arnav rubs his eyes to find Akash standing near him.

Akash: Bhai you were in deep sleep

Arnav nods and yawns and gets up from the chair : I will be back in a sec

Saying this, he goes to the washroom and brings himself back to consciousness, yet smiling at his dream and saying "This will happen. I will marry Khushi again. Then you will see Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada, then you will see my love".

He steps out of the bathroom, and sees Khushi still sleeping.

Akash: Bhai, doctor came and checked her vitals while you were still sleeping. He didn't want to wake you up as he told me you had been awake for a long time.

He goes and hugs Arnav

"Congrats Bhai, I knew you would be successful. Whatever you do, you're the best in it. Khushi ji is all yours now"

Arnav smiles, hugging him back.

Akash: Bhai I brought breakfast for you. Lets go and have it

Arnav: Wait, I want to be here when she wakes up. I don't want to go eat

Akash: Okay bhai, I am leaving the bag here, please do eat..I will go and see where the other family members are...they must be reaching here...they were very happy to hear that Khushiji is all better now

Arnav: Okay akash

Arnav goes and sits on the bed near her, gently caresses the side of her face and bends to kiss her forehead "I cant wait for you to wake up."

He gets up and starts to move when Khushi whimpers in her sleep. He suddenly sits back down and starts sqeezing her hand "shh its okay, I am here, its okay" and kisses Khushi's cheeks and she goes back to sleep

He gets up, goes over to the sofa and has his breakfast. Meanwhile Khushi's eyes open and she sees the ceiling. She calls out "Amma, Babuji" looking at the stars. Arnav quickly gets up, runs towards her and puts his arm around her and help her sit on the bed "Shh Khushi, its okay, You're okay" and hugs her tightly". "Owww" Khushi complains. "Oh sorry" Arnav says and gently holds her.

Khushi: What happened?

Arnav: Do you remember when we were driving to go have lunch?

Khushi: hmm

Arnav: well we had an accident and you got badly injured

Khushi: Ohh, but I remember seeing my amma babuji, they were here to take me. She starts crying "I want to go to my amma babuji, I cant stand all this anymore, I cant pretend that everything is fine between us everyday infront of our family members, everyone has rejected me and I don't have the will to live anymore really"

Arnav: shh khushi shh, everyone loves you. I love you. Please don't ever talk about going anywhere. I want you to stay with me forever.

Khushi looks around the room and thinks "I cant see anyone in the room, why is arnavji pretending to be nice to me?"

Arnav: You are still very weak so you should rest as much as possible

Khushi: I am fine, please let go of me and jerks his hands off her arms

Arnav: Khushi, please try and understand...As he says this, the rest of his and her family members enter and they all look at them arguing again

Nani: Arnav, please leave her alone atleast today. Why are you scolding her?

Arnav with a puppy dog face: But Nani..

Anjali: Yes chote, listen to nani.. How are you feeling now Khushiji?

Khushi: good, thank you anjaliji

Buaji: I had trust in my Arnav Bitua, that he would bring back our Khushi

Khushi now confused: What?

Anjali: Khushiji the doctors said you lost the will to live anymore, so Arnav was here for the past 2 days trying to convince you to come back

Khushi now shocked and looking at Arnav, confused at 2 things. One that he brought her back from near-dead situation, and that buaji is crediting Arnav?

Khushi: "Thank you Arnavji"...still looking around and seeing that no one is behaving the same way they were 2 days ago, when she entered her home, the same bua kicked her out, when she came back home, the same anjali accused her...still confused...

The nurse enters

Nurse: How are you feeling now, Mrs Raizada?

Khushi: *cough cough* Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada...and thanks for asking, I am feeling much better

Nurse: You have a very loving husband, he cried so much for you and when you woke up, he was very happy. Make sure you don't leave him again otherwise he will break down

Khushi hearing this widens her eyes and looks at Arnav

Arnav glaring at the nurse now

Anjali: Chote...

Arnav moves his gaze from the nurse, and goes sits beside Khushi

Khushi still confused as to what has happened in past 2 days that everyone is speaking to her nicely, and most of all Arnav is actually being nice, no wait hes being loving to her, AND he CRIED in her absence? Did she really affect him in this way?...?

Everyone greets them both and get ready to leave

Khushi tries to get up but suddenly cold wind makes its presence felt on her bare back, so she lies back down in the bed. Arnav who is sitting next to her sees this and smirks

As everyone gets out of the room, Arnav suddenly gets up, leans in towards Khushi and puts his head on her shoulder so her head is now on his shoulder, near-a-hug and tightens the loose threads on her back sending shivers down her spine..Arnav realises she is shivering so gets up and gets a light blue gown from the closet and holds out to her. She gets down the bed and wears it...

Khushi walks towards the windows while Arnav walks towards the sofa to get the glitter and flowers out...

Khushi: Arnavji, you haven't been home in 2 days, you should go. I will be fine here, the doctor and nurses are here, if I need anything, I will ask them

Arnav: no Khushi, I will not let you out of my sight ever again

Khushi just nods and looks out of the window, running her hands through her hair, she realises the sindoor is missing, and she suddenly looks down and the mangalsutra is also not in her neck.

Khushi shrieks

Arnav runs towards her leaving the bags behind yet again: Khushi, what happened? Grabbing her hands, checking if anything is wrong with her?

Khushi: Where is my mangalsootra?

Arnav: Oh my God khushi! I thought something was wrong with you.

Khushi: Well, losing my mangalsootra is a big thing, I know it doesn't matter to you because this marriage is only for 6 months, but I have to abide by the marriage rules for these 6 months also.

Arnav: "Khushi,, 6 months onl?"...before he could say anything, Khushi walks towards the washroom to check her mangalsootra

Arnav realising she is still adamant about the 6 months contract and keeping in mind of her health, keeps mum

Arnav: Khushi, its not in there. I think they took it off when you were admitted

Khushi walks out: Will you please go get it for me, or should I go myself?

Arnav hurt at the way she is talking to him: I'll go, please lie down, you are very weak from inside

Khushi walks to the bed and lies down, Arnav covers her with the blanket and tucks her in lovingly... Khushi still looking at Arnav in disbelief

Arnav: I'll go get the stuff

Khushi nods and Arnav walks out of the room...The nurse gives him the packet in which the mangalsootra is kept...Arnav goes calls his driver and arranges for a sindoor ki dibbi which the driver comes back with in 10 minutes and then Arnav takes both the things to the room

Arnav enters and sees Khushi sleeping on the bed

He walks upto the bed, his gaze fixed at her face, glowing with life, he didn't care that she spoke rudely to him, he was just happy that she was back...BACK to him!

He looks up at the stars and says "I promise I will keep her safe and happy, please give me another chance", the wind blows in and the stars chime as if her parents agreeing to his deal. He smiles and looks down at Khushi. He picks out the sandoor dibbi, smears some on his finger and lovingly puts it in her maang...he is actually happy to do all these things. Khushi's eyes open and she shrugs off "What are you doing?"

Arnav: Putting sindoor

Khushi: No, I'll do it

Arnav: I am your husband, ill do it, besides the doctor said you need rest, keep lying down

Khushi just nods looking at him with passion and some confusion

Arnav puts his arm beneath her back and raises her head up so he can put the mangalsoorta in her neck. Feeling his hot hands on her cold bare neck, she twitches, Arnav's grin absorbs his lips, deliberately he runs his fingers underneath and on her bare back, trying to fix the mangalsootra, he finally puts it and lowers her down.

He stands there smiling, looking at Khushi

Khushi looks up at Arnav sobbing: "Why are you doing all this?"...asks Khushi with tears in her eyes

Arnav gently wipes the tears: "Because I am in love with you"

Khushi shrugs his hands off her face: "No, you're lying, you never loved me, you always hated me, and you confessed this near the poolside...", saying this she gets up and sits on the bed hugging her knees

Arnav now sits beside her, putting his hand on her knees "Khushi, I always loved you, but sometimes you have to do some things that your eyes tell you, and ignore the heart"

Khushi listening carefully: I don't get it

Arnav: Khushi, the doctor has told you to rest, please lie down, I cant dump all the things on you, you will get exhausted

Khushi gets anxious and starts crying: You have to tell me, please tell me, why are you doing this

Arnav thinks "I have to tell her"

He picks up the blanket and gets in with her in the bed. Khushi moves up and makes space for him hoping he wont break her heart this time...

Hi guys!!!! So, here is Part 10!!! Only a couple of parts left now, I guess because I dont want to drag it on too long. What do you guys think? Should I end it soon or continue with more twists and turns? I mean...do you think its being stretchy now?

I just want to add, the next part is gorgeous, I mean when I was writing it, i got goosebumps, I wouldn't say its hot or anything, but its so gorgeously cute and sweet!!!!
