She Loved Him. Loved. Arnav felt like his spirit had died. Then he remebered what she said before..."i feel no love for Arnavji..." he swiftly shut his eyes in despair. Khushi looked at him and said, "are you ok? Do you have a headache?" Arnav's heart was breaking...was she so lost that she wasn't able to read his eyes anymore? How could he do this? How could he have pushed her emotions so far inside her that she no longer wanted to let them surface!

*Flashback*

"look in my eyes! Go on! Does it look like i'm joking!?" Arnav yelled

Khushi looked at him. The look he was giving her was already burning her heart. "i am sorry Arnavji, i won't bother you again tonight."

Had her husband REALLY just asked her to stop caring for him? Had he REALLY just asked her to never ACT like she cares!?

She dejectedly walked out of the room..."it's not an act Arnavji..." and the door closed.

He looked up at the empty room. Why can't i stop loving her!? I don't want to love her! I hate her so much for this. I am disgusted that i ever LET her into this house! I wish she just stopped caring! Then it would be easier to hate her!!!

*end of Flashback*

With tears streaming down his face he looked into her blank eyes and said, "I wish i never said that to you. I wish i never said that! I WANT you to care for me! I am the biggest fool...Khushi..." he held her face in his hands..."please, pplleaassee...please forgive me. Yell at me, hit me, push me, please show me how you feel! If you don't come back to me, i won't be able to go on!"

Khushi could see him breaking down. This won't do, she thought. Now the family might think SHE is torturing HIM. She brought her hands up to his chest and spoke softly, "Arnavji, i don't know what to say to you. I will continue trying to be a good wife to you. But please understand...i can't love you. I have nothing to love with."

His head snapped up. He looked at her with determined eyes. He grabbed her around the waist with his left hand and held on tight. And with his right hand he placed his hand on her heart. Never having touched her this way before, Khushi gasped..."DO YOU KNOW WHAT I CAN FEEL?! I can feel your heart beating...YOUR HEART. It's THERE Khushi! And i won't rest until I see you smile from your heart again..."

Khushi looked up at Arnav. Tears dried. Eyes Cleared. He made his desicion. He was in pursuit of her. He wouldn't give up.

He moved back from her...his heart starting to weep from the loss of contact..."would you like some tea before you go to sleep?" Khushi asked quietly.

Arnav looked at her and smiled. "that would be nice, if you would join me too..."

Khushi looked up at him with a huge shocked expression.

Arnav suddenly realized what she may have thought. . . "i meant, join me for tea..."

Khushi sighed..."no thankyou. I will prepare to go to sleep."

"oh wait," Arnav said, "The family are waiting downstairs for us... They wanted to talk to us, and please don't worry, i won't let anyone, ANYONE speak ill of you. You are mine. If someone speaks bad of you then they have spoken bad of me. And they will have to reap the consequences."

Khushi just nodded and walked toward the door. Before she could open it, Arnav swung her around into his arms and Khushi's arms flew around him to steady herself...he looked at her..."I am so in love with you..." he kissed her forehead, released her, but immediately held her hand..."let's go..." She said quickly looking away...
