One month had passed since Shakti had come to New York. She was thoroughly enjoying studying at the academy… but when she had to go back to her apartment it was another story… so she tried to stay at the academy and practice as much as possible.

She went out with her new friends often but it was never the same as being with friends in India… just yesterday she had gone for a friend's birthday party… where she was already asked out for 3 dates which she politely refused… one had even insisted on giving his number which she accepted and decided to never see it again.

Today her dance class had got over early… so she decided to head home to just chill by herself… she was relaxing and catching up on a novel when Mukti called…

Mukti- hi sis

Shakti- hey! hi muks… wassup?

Mukti- have u not checked ur emails or FB lately?

Shakti was trying to avoid FB as far as possible…

Shakti- Naa… just busy with classes… I get so beat after a full day of practice… all I do is crash at the end of the day.

Mukti- No wonder all ur fans are posting on my wall asking me about you coz u havnt replied to them in days.

Shakti- hmm

Mukti- what hmm? is everything ok, shaks?

Shakti- yaa baba… wats gonna happen?

Mukti- are you in love?

Shakti laughs… how does she make such weird conclusions out of anything so simple like not going online for long? My silly sis… Roll eyes.

Shakti- Muks… stop watching romantic movies… and give yourself a break.

Mukti- hahaha… the only romantic thing I've been watching lately is D3.

She frowned… now what?

Shakti- Acha? Aisa kya ho raha hai?

Mukti- khuch khaas nahi.

Shakti was irritated.

Shakti- fine… do you have to say anything else? I'm tired and I want to rest.

Mukti- ok got your hint… its dangerous to talk to you when you are in a bad mood… I'll call later.

Shakti- Sorry ya

Mukti- No problem sis… Tell me when you want to unload your burden.

She smiled… can anyone know me as well as she does? She's the best…

Shakti- I love you, Muks.

Mukti- I love you too sis. Rest now… Bye

Shakti took a deep breath and went to switch on her laptop… I can't keep running away all the time… she logged in her account… she was browsing through her friend requests when she saw a request from Anjali Bhuta… oh isn't she the one? Maybe it's just a fake id… she saw her common friends… No it was indeed her… she hit the accept friend request button and was about to go back to her wall when she saw that Anjali had shared an album with her D3 friends.

She was curious to know what it was about… The album's name was 'on the sets of D3'… she saw Anjali's pictures with the entire D3 gang… they were just the usual goofy pictures which everyone posed for… but one picture caught her eyes… it was a picture where Amar was standing behind Anjali with his arms around her waist, his chin resting on her shoulder, a huge grin on his face and Anjali looking back at him laughing, with Palki maam at his side pulling his ear.

Shakti laughed… The flirt at work… She shut the album and logged off… she picked up her cell… and dialed a number…

Shakti- Hello, is that Brad?

Brad- yes?

Shakti- hi… I'm Shakti… we met last night.

Brad- oh yes… hi beautiful… wassup?

Shakti- nothing… the usual.

Brad- wanna catch up?

Shakti- I'd love to.

Brad- Great!! I'll pick you up in an hour.

Shakti- Cool

She quickly dictated her address and hung up before she changed her mind… and hurried to get ready.
