Hi everyone…. Sorry could not update yesterday…. But here I am with the next part…. Enjoy.

Part 13

He rubbed her back with his hand…. Her fingers tangled his hair…. She tilted her face and planted a kiss on his neck and she moaned…. She nuzzled closer…. He inhaled her scent….. But something was wrong…. She dint feel right…. She dint smell right…. Wait a min!!!... this is NOT Shakti!!

He jerked back startled…. He pulled himself away and started at her face.

Amar- W*F

Anjali smiled at him…. He frowned.

Amar- listen Anjali…. Yeh sab….

She moved towards him…. He moved back raising his hands.

Amar- wait!!

She stopped in her track…. With a confused look on her face.

Anjali- what happened? (frowned)

Amar- I don't know!!... you tell me?

Anjali- I thought hum…..

His phone rang…. He saw the caller id…. His eyes widened…. Shakti?... he looked at Anjali and back at the caller id on his cell…. Gosh!!... Does she have a sixth sense or something??... he cut the call and looked at Anjali.

Amar- listen Anjali, we are professionals…. We have to work together…. I don't know what you feel….. but this is something I'm not at all comfortable with…. I would appreciate if we maintained some distance…. You are a friend, just let it be that way…. I don't want to complicate things…. It would affect our work….. I'm really sorry if you feel bad…. I have no intensions of hurting your feelings…. I'm always there for you…. But just as a friend…. Please try to understand.

She was quiet for sometime…. Just staring at him….. he dint know what else to say…. So he waited for her to respond.

Anjali (smile)- I understand Kunwar…. That's ok…. Ya, you are right…. We are professionals….. and we have to behave like one…. Fine let's just forget what happened.

Amar sighed…. He was glad he dint hurt her feelings…. And he was all the more glad that he had come to his wits before anything had gone further…. He would have never been able to face Shakti otherwise…. He was guilty about what had happened right now... but he had made it clear to Anjali and she had understood…. So things would be back to normal again….. hopefully.

His cell beeped twice…. He checked his message.

[]Shakti- Kunwar, you are getting me worried…. What is happening??…. Call me.

Amar smiled…. He looked at Anjali.

Amar- excuse me…. I need to go.

Anjali- No wait Kunwar….. I have my car…. I can drop you home…. come.

And she started to move ahead.

Amar- no Anjali, thanks…. I'll manage.

Anjali- oh common Kunwar…. I told you we'll be fine…. Let's just forget what happened ok.

Amar- no seriously thanks…. I'm sure we'll be fine…. But I would want to go by myself.

Anjali- are you sure, you don't want to tell me what's been on your mind all evening?

Amar- (starting to get irritated) no…. I'm fine…. thanks…. Bye…. Good night.

And he started to walk away.

Anjali- (called out) bye Kunwar…. Sleep well.

He just turned, nodded once and walked away.

He quickly dialed Shakti's number.

Shakti- (as soon as she answered) Kunwar!!... stupid…. Idiot…. Gadhe…. What's your problem?... aise koi behave karta hai?... poora time tumne dhang se kisi se bhi baat nahi ki…. Do you know main kitni pareshan ho gayi thi….. ab chup kyun ho?... bolte kyun nahi?

Amar sighed…. he was so glad to hear her voice…. Chahe woh uss pe chilla hi kyun na rahi ho.

Amar- khuch bolne doogi toh bolunga na.

Shakti laughed.

Shakti- acha sorry…. Toh bataao…. Kya hua?

Amar- arre khuch nahi hua hai, Shaks….. main thik hun…. Trust me.

Shakti- pakka?

Amar- hmm… sachi.

Shakti- is it because maine tumse itne dino main dhang se baat nahi ki?

Amar remembered their video chat when Anjali had barged in their conversation and Shakti not talking to him properly for the next few weeks.

Amar- hmm…. Shayad (laughs)

Shakti- I'm sorry Kunwar…. Bahut busy thi…. Itni saari rehearsals…. Itna tension…. Dance ke alwa khuch sujta hi nahi tha…. Kisi se bhi ache se baat nahi kar paayi... Sorry.

Amar- (whispered hoarsely) I missed you.

Shakti was silent…. teary eyed…. She had missed him too…. He was always her backbone when she was stressed.

Flashback-

Shakti had to go to Israel for a performance…. It was after she had stopped shooting for D3 and before coming to NY.

She was practicing on her terrace late at night, when Amar called.

Shakti- hey Kunwar…. Wassup?

Amar- ab tak soyi nahi?

Shakti- tum jaante ho na…. jab tak 4-5 times practice na karlu…. Neend nahi aati.

Amar- haan 4-5 times abhi…. aur sone ke baad 10-12 times sapne main bhi tum wahi kar rahi hogi.

Shakti- (laughs) shut up.

Amar- acha kal kitne baje ki flight hai?

Shakti- subhe 8 o' clock ki flight hai…. I'll leave at 5…. Kyun mujhe chodne aa rahe ho, Kumbhkaran ki aulad? (laughs)

Amar- (laughs) mujhe challenge de rahi ho?

Shakti- ya maybe…. Cz I know tum nahi utth paaoge.

Amar- thik hai…toh poori raat yahi rukta hun.

Shakti- (confused) yahi rukta hun, matlab?

Amar- main tumhari building ke neeche khada hun.

Shakti- What!!

She ran towards the terrace railing to look down…. She saw him leaning on his bike, looking up and waving out to her.

Shakti- tum seriously paagal ho, Kunwar (laughs)…. Ruko aati hun.

She came down…. and hugged him and after drawing back, punched his chest.

Shakti- dude…. Itni raat ko aise kisi ladki ko milne nahi aate….. zamana bahut kharab hai (laughs)

Amar looking over Shakti's head.

Amar- ladki?... kaun?... arre tum Jaanvi ko bhi saath layi ho?... pehele bolti toh thoda acche se tayar hoke aata. (laughs)

Jaanvi is one of Shakti's neighbors and a huge fan of Amar. (Author's note- again she is a fictional character and resembles no one)

Shakti- (punched his chest again) ya ya… bada aaya Mr. Star…. Bechari bacchi hai…. Usse toh chod do.

Amar- kya karun?... aadat se majboor. (wink)

Both laugh.

She noticed his hair was messy and he had a stubble.

Shakti- ewww Kunwar…. Yeh kya halat bana rakhi hai?

Amar- (confused) what?

Shakti- yeh sab……

She ran her fingers through his hair and touched his cheek…. He felt a 120V current run down his spine at her touch…. He was lost in her twinkling eyes for a second or two.

He pulled her towards him, wrapping his one arm around her waist and holding her hand with his other hand placed on his cheek…. Her eyes widened at his sudden move…. But she was too stunned to pull away in that instant…. They were so close…. He could feel her hot breath on his face…. He blinked once realizing what this would lead to.

Amar- ab kya karun?... Jab se Rey ki baatcutter ne usko chod diya hai…. Tabse woh bechara deewana, devdas bane fir raha hai.

He laughed and pushed himself away from her…. Shakti blinked twice and smiled with confused eyes…. She cleared her throat.

Shakti- acha ok Mr. Reyaansh Singhania….. toh aap character main ho?

Amar- (smirked) hum toh humesha character main hote hai.

Shakti- (roll eyes) chal ab buss bahut ho gaya… pakka matt.

And both laughed.

Shakti- toh ab bataaoge…. Yahan kya kar rahe ho?

Amar- arre tumse milne aaya hun yaar.

Shakti- Awww Kunwar…. You are a sweetheart.

He blushed and she laughed at how adorable he looked when he was embarrassed.

Shakti- so... bolo... Kya laaun tumhare liye?... wahan se kya chahiye?

Amar- (mumbled) Tum!...

Shakti- (eyes widen) huh?

She thought he said 'Tum!'

Amar- tum jo laaogi main le lunga.

She relaxed.

Shakti- (laughs) besharam…. Aisa nahi kahoge…. Its ok Shakti tumhe khuch laane ki zaroorat nahi hai.

Amar- (laughs) no way…. Main kabhi presents ke liye mana nahi karta.

Both laugh.

After sometime she got serious…. And frowned.

Shakti- you know Kunwar…. I'm very nervous…. Mera performance acha toh jaayega na?

Amar (smile)- mere saamne India's dancing star khadi hai yaar…. Woh kabhi koi stage pe galti kar hi nahi sakti….. aur jahan tak nervous hone ka sawal hai…. Mujhe toh unpe daya aa rahi hai jo tumhare saath background main dance kar rahe honge…. Unpe kitna pressure hoga to match up to you.

Shakti laughed….. leaned forward and planted a kiss on his cheek…. He was so sweet…. She couldn't resist….. He was taken aback…. It was suppose to be just a friendly peck but her lips lingered a little longer than necessary on his cheek…. She moved back with a jerk…. And looked in his eyes…. He wondered if she felt the spark too.

Shakti- (avoiding his eyes) ummm…. Its getting late… I better go and sleep…. I have to get up early.

Amar- ya…. You should rest…. Warna kal plane main tumhe uthate uthate, air hostess pareshan na ho jaaye.

They both laugh.

Shakti- thanks Kunwar…. Thanks for coming…. Tumse baat karke I'm seriously relaxed now. (smile)

Amar- (smile) always, Shaks.

Shakti- chalo ab bye…. Goodnight…. Aake phone karungi.

Amar- yup…. Bye…. Goodnight.

She hugged him once and quickly walked back.

Present-

Shakti- Acha ab bataao…. Mera show kaisa laga?

Amar- it was mind blowing really…. Aur woh Duet dance main tum bahut hot lag rahi thi.

He was thinking he had hardly seen it…. He felt guilty about that…. now when he knew it was for her partner's wife…. He no longer felt insecure….. in fact he was proud of Shakti's willingness to help out a friend.

Shakti- (blush) thanks

Amar could sense her Blush…. His fingers twitched…. If she was in front of him right now, he sure would have brushed his fingers on the hue of pink.

Shakti- where are you?... have you reached home?

Amar- no…. on my way.

Shakti- tum toh kabke mere ghar se nikal gaye the…. Ab tak ghar nahi pahunche?

Amar remembered his interface with Anjali…. He felt guilty…. Should I tell her?... no…. it was no big deal…. Plus its never gonna happen again... y complicate things.

Amar- toh kya karun?... tumhi ne toh mujhe bike chalane se mana kiya hai.

Shakti- (laughs) bike chalane se mana kiya hai…. Taxi lene se mana nahi kiya…. Shee Kunwar, you are so Chindi.

They both laughed.

Amar- shut up…. Waise tumse baat karte karte mera diwaala nikal raha hai…. Tumse toh mere saare phone bills vasool karunga. (laughs)

Shakti- (laughs) seriously bade chindi ho…. Acha chalo ab jaao…. It's late…. Ghar jaake rest karo.

Amar- hmm…. Fir kab baat karogi?... iss baar pls itna tadpana matt.

Shakti- (laughs) very soon Kunwar….. bahut jald….. ab jaao

Amar- ok bye Shaks

Shakti- Bye Kunwar…. Goodnight.

Shakti hung up…. She smiled…. She recollected his words….. 'fir kab baat karogi?'…

Shakti- (to herself) yes Kunwar….. very very soon.

She laughed and twirled around with arms open, yelling….

I'm going Home!!!!
