I couldn't help myself but to right the next part! This is so much fun! I never knew this genre could be so interesting!
________________________________________________________Part 3 - I Don't Need ProofI was led into that building which had once been my home by Khushi. Why was she trying so hard?
Our entrance left everyone shocked. Everyone's feet were glued to where they were. Finally Khushi broke the silence.
"Why are you all so shocked, the son of the house is back! You should all be happy." She said trying to brighten up the mood. She and I both knew it was hopeless but she still tried. I looked at Di. She did not look at me. She stared at the ground in disgust. This was killing me inside but if it allows her to live peacefully then so be it.
"Son? Son of the house? He is the LAST person we consider to be the son of the house. He brought great shame to us all. We can't go out without hearing at least one taunt." Said Nani.
"How many times do I have to tell you HE'S INNOCENT!" I yelled.
"Khushi ji, how could someone be so blind in love to not notice what the other person is actually like?" Anjali said.
She laughed. It was ironic but Di did not have to find out.
"You're saying that?" she said as we started walking to what used to be my room.
"Arnav! How dare you enter my house! This house is for only good people and it does not welcome murderers like you! And don't you bother saying that 'this is my property' 'I can do whatever I want' because no, it isn't. All of this is now mine and I don't want someone like you's shadow to even fall on it." Said Shyam the owner of SJ Industries with an evil grin.
I could feel Khushi's blood start boiling. If I wasn't helpless I would've given him a good beating today. How Dare He! The audacity of that leech!
"You're nothing better but a cold-blooded murdere-"
"Stop! That's it! Enough!" Khushi said as she took my hand in hers and came outside of that hell. What had Shyam turned the place into? Everyone looked sad and depressed in there. The whole energy of the place had changed.
***
"Why have you brought him here?" questioned a furious Bua-Ji.
"Bua-ji, I've brought him here because he's innocent. Arnav ji is innocent. He's been framed and I'm helping him prove himself right."
"Aye-Hai! Dekho, ladki upne ashiq ko le ayi hai!" said a woman passing by.
"Lekin yehi to iska baap ka khooni hai, to phir isse madat kyun kar rahi hai?" said another woman.
"Look, he didn't kill him! Do you get that! MY ARNAV IS NOT A MURDERER!"
"Are are, bus bus, ab kahe itna chilarahi ho. Hum sabko pata hai, majboori se madat kar rahi ho, iske saath najayaz rishta jo hai aur kuch mahino main uska parinaam bhi jo ane waala hai." Said the other woman laughing along with the rest.
The whole crowd of people started gossiping.
Khushi was holding back her tears. I couldn't watch someone question her character like this. It pierced my heart to watch her go through this pain.
Buaji was furious now. "Maine to Shashi Babua se kaha tha ki tumhe mandir main hi marne ke liya chode na tha." She said as she closed the door on Khushi's face.
She wanted to break down. Let the dam of tears she's been holding back out, but she didn't because she knew that would break me as well. What was this woman made out of? Was she real? Sometimes I would wonder if she was a dream and that I would wake up one day to find myself go back to the day of the fashion show where I met this afsara only to realize that she isn't real. But every time she's by me I feel her heartbeat against mine and realize that she is real, that she is there with me, that she is mine. How is it possible for someone to love someone so much?
But now I had to help her. I couldn't stand people taunt her like this. I grabbed her hand and started to make an exit from that place but I wasn't going to leave without giving these people a piece of my mind. I turned around.
"Before you call someone else characterless, look at yourself first. Is blaming a girl without any proof good character? Is taunting her about something you have no clue what-so-ever about good character? Is ruining her reputation in front of the whole world good character? Forget it, YOU people are too narrow-minded for us to expect anything from you." I said as I took my final steps away from that place.
But then my own questions haunted me. Is ruining her reputation in front of the whole world good character? I was in no position to say that because I--Arnav Singh Raizada, Prisoner # 6611, who claimed to be her soul mate--was probably on the top of the list for causing pain to Khushi. I hadn't thought about it once when I released the fashion show footage to the media. I couldn't live with myself, I couldn't take the burden of her kindness anymore.
"It's ok, you repented for your mistakes and I know no one can love me more than you." She said as if she heard my though. She put a comforting hand on my shoulder, how did she manage to do this? I asked myself.
Khushi was knocking door to door asking if we could spend the night. Most houses didn't even open the door, some did but refused, and some refused but ridiculed. I couldn't see her like this. How long am I going to rely on her, make her carry my burden? I had to do something.
I rushed in front of her to knock on the next house that was on the isolated corner of the street. You couldn't even notice it was there if it weren't for the moon's light that for some reason directly fell upon it tonight.
I knocked pretty hard to make sure the person heard. I waited but no response. I knocked again and waited, still no response. I at the point where I could've beaten down the door if I didn't hear...
"I'm coming! Hold your horses!" said an old weekend voice. There I saw an old lady, probably in her early 60s, opening the door. She had smooth gray hair tied in a bun, reading glasses down to the tip of her nose, soft, comforting eyes, and voice so oddly familiar.
"Who are you my son?"
"Hello aunty-ji, I am Arnav and that is my...wife...Khushi. We are in deep trouble and need a place to stay. Could we spend the night here?"
"Arre son. I have been such a lonely old lady for so many years that no one has ever come to visit. With no family or friends I was shocked someone was knocking at my door. Of course you could come in and feel at hope. You look like a nice boy," She said caressing my face "Now come quickly otherwise the house will become cold. I'll get something for you two to eat, 'till then get your wife situated she looks exhausted beta." She said as she turned slowly making her way to her small kitchen.
I smiled at the kindness of this old lady. "Khushi! I found a place to stay!" I said gesturing her to walk over here. She weekly smiled and attempted to walk towards me but before she could get to me she collapsed. I ran over to her side. "KHUSHI!"
***
"I'm fine Arnav." She said desperately failing to convince me that she is ok.
"No you're not." I said as I picked her up and took her inside.
***
"Namaste." Khushi said as she folded her hands.
"Namaste beta."
"Thank you so much for letting us stay here."
"Now, now, all of this can be taken care of later but first you two must eat a little bit now. Especially you darling. " she said as she brushed her hand through Khushi's head.
She served us food and let us in to our room.
"If you need anything else, just ask." She said as she left leaving me and Khushi in the room alone. I turned around to see her with a notebook and pen writing away. A smile crept onto my face looking at her.
I walked up to her and gently took the notebook out of her hand.
"So how far have we gotten Advocate Khushi Kumari Gupta?"
"How'd you find out?" She questioned me with a pouty face.
"I have sources." I smiled
"Like what, my notebook when I'm showering?"
"Maybe?" I teased.
"Should I be jealous of this new notebook you're talking about?"
"I don't know Khushi. I mean the blue leather cover really makes it preeety atractive."
"If you decide to run away with my notebook than I will rip that very notebook up and send it in for recycling!"
"You wouldn't!" I over-dramatically gasped.
"Try me." She said.
We laughed noticing the weird conversation we got into. No matter what the situation was, having Khushi there would make it all better. I settled my head down onto into her lap letting her tresses tickle my chin.
"Thank you Khushi, for everything."
"Don't think you're getting away with it easily. The demand was 2 kids but now I want 3!"
"As many as you want."
As said as I got up a bit to peck her cheek slightly but then resumed my rightful position.
"Arnav, on a serious note, why were you there that day?" She caressed my hair.
"Someone left their jhumka there and it wasn't letting me sleep as it reminded me of you. I got out to come see you Khushi."
"Ok..." She said as she started jotting things down.
"Can you tell me what you saw when you got there?"
"No." I had to reply coldly.
"Why Arnav? I don't understand why you want the criminal to go unpunished. Do you want the murdered of my dad to roam freely? But I'm still not gonna force you. Just please answer the question."
I looked at her and how her mood suddenly changed. She was willing to sacrifice finding her dad's murdered for me. This was it, I couldn't see her like this. Di would just have to toughen up, she was a strong women.
"Shyam."
"What?"
"Shyam killed your dad Khushi." I said as I got up.
"What? Shyam who my fiance or some other guy? I mean I don't know any other Shyam who could possibly want to..." She tried to divert the topic. She still didn't know that I knew about that leech.
"I know Khushi."
"Know what?"
"About that that torturous brute."
"Arnav, I..."
"It's ok Khushi, I'm fine. Now this is what really happened, are you ready?"
She gulped. "Yes."
I explained to her the whole story. I tried to leave out the gory images that still flash through my mind in nightmares but she was still traumatized.
"Why Arnav? Why would you want to save that...thing?"
"Di, Kushi, Di. I don't want her to be devastated, but today I realize that maybe it's for the betterment of her and how can I let down the one person who fully trusted me even when I MYSELF said I was guilty."
"Ok, first let's see the only things that made you lose the case last time were the following points.
1. You being at the crime scene during the time of the murder.
2. Blood on your clothes.
3. Murder weapon in hand.
4. Finger-prints on weapon.
5. Confession of Crime.
We can easily come over the first 4 but the last one. How will we prove that you confessed because of your sister but even that won't help because the court wants proof so the only way to proof you're not guilty is to prove that someone else is."
I looked at her. Was this the same aadhi pagal Khushi?
"Who are you and what have you done to my Khushi?"
"Arnav, I'm serious now." She said shrugging me off.
"Fine, no one cares about me anymore." I said turning so my back faces her.
"Arnav, I'm doing this for you only aren't I?"
"Yes darling but you need some sleep." I gently tugged the notebook out of her hand which she let go of immediately as I picked her up and placed her on the bed. I covered her with the blankets aunty-ji had so nicely let us use. I pecked her forehead slightly and admired the beauty of my angel-wife. Well not yet but soon to-be. Hopefully everything will go well from now. I slid in next to her and pulled up my side of the covers. She rested her head on my chest and I put my hand over her small delicate body pushing her closer to me. She snuggled closer to me. After a long while, finally Khushi and I were able to fall into a peaceful slumber.

Hope you liked! Here is a nice decently long precap. I wont be updating tomorrow unless I finish my uni work I've been putting off. ( I really hope that happens but who am I kidding?)
Precap:
"All of the previous arguments of this case have been proven wrong but the vital one, Mr. Raizada's confession of crime, you have failed to explain the reason behind this, since you are placing accusations on Mr. Jha you will have to prove them. 'Till then the court is adjourned for 1 week. The court is closed."

"Ma?" I said with tears rolling down my cheek.
"Ma-ji?" Khushi said immediately after me with tears starting to form.
