Buddy me for PM's. 😊PART 6 - Push Comes To Shove.
"Khushiji! Enough is enough. Enough, I tell you!" .
Shyam couldn't believe this. He'd let this go on far too long. If he had grabbed his oppurtunity when he had it, this wouldn't have happened. But now he was truly angry. He held on tight to Khushiji's wrists as she tried to struggle against him.
"No. I said NO. Don't you see, Khushiji? You don't have to hide it anymore! Don't you see? You can't resist me! I want to understand, Khushiji, I really do. But I've waited too long. I'm going to do this, whether you like it or not. But I prefer that you like it. Yes, really, I do. So, I'll give you some time - clean up, take your time, steady yourself... but then, after that, give me what I want ... what we want... I know you do too. Don't deny yourself any longer, Khushiji. It's not right"
He let go of her wrists as she threw herself on the bed, crying. He didn't understand. Why was she crying? WHY?
Frustated, he walked out the room and took the elevator to the terrace of the small, two-storeyed hotel. It's okay, he told himself. She's going to be ready for you when you go back. Just give her some space. Leaning over the stone wall that looked at the road in front of him, he looked down, at the ... TWO cars parked outside? When he had arrived there had been just one. He'd been told this place wasn't very popular... He watched as a familiar-looking man stepped out of the second car. So he had just arrived. He had seen him, somewhere... but where? He couldn't quite put his finger on it. But then it all came back to him... it was AMAN! Saale sahab's favorite - or he made it seem that way - employee. Despite himself, he smiled. A man's got to do what he's got to do... but somehow, Aman had never quite seemed the type. But still... it wouldn't be right for Aman to see him here. Oh no. He was sure to tell Arnav if he saw... things less financially able did for a raise...
He was just deciding on whether he should relocate when... Aman looked up. Their eyes met. It was too late. Or was it?

Aman looked up to see Arnav's Jijaji standing on the terrace, leaning over with a smile on his face. He looked at the building again... this looked like a shady place. 'Happiness Motel'. It was clear what a place with a name like that was meant for. Now that he came to think about it... wasn't his name Shyam too? He was sure he had come to right place. But, just to double check... he headed over to the reception of the building. "Did someone come here ... with a girl... maybe he was named Shyam?" he asked the guy sitting on a little wooden stool behind a little wooden table.
"Shyam, sirji? Too many people come here, you can't expect me to remember all their names, can you? And, people usually come her with girls, too. Hardly ever alone, like yourself" replied the guy, his expression tense.
"He will not hear about this" Aman replied, shoving a 1000 rupee note into the man's breastpocket. That much should do. He smiled as the man agreed to tell him. A man named Shyam had come here, he said. He'd been the only visitor of the day. The girl had been unconcious when he got her, but they usually always were when they arrived, so he hadn't read much into it. That was all Aman needed to know. As Aman walked out of the Motel, he suddenly realized the seriousness of this situation. Arnav's JIJAJI? His sister's HUSBAND , was cheating on her? He fished his phone out of his pocket to tell Arnav. But no matter how hard he tried to dial his number, he couldn't bring himself to do it. Arnav's sister was the only person everyone knew he cared about. Finding out that her husband was cheating on her would shatter Arnav... and, God knows, he didn't need to go through that again. He didn't know the details, but he did know that Arnav had had a very traumatic past. It was something that had scarred him for life, something he thought about everyday. And he just couldn't cause Arnav any more pain... not yet, atleast.
First, he must get this Khushi Gupta away from the creep... and when she was safe and sound... it would be right to tell Arnav then. Yes. He was just about to re-enter the Motel when...

"Khushiji, we're leaving. We'll pick up from where we left off in a new place, okay? A place much better than this, you'll see" said Shyam, gathering the few things he had brought with him. Thank God he'd had a backup plan. He looked back at Khushiji. She hadn't moved an inch. She looked as if she was frozen. Frozen in time. And how beautiful she was. "The hard way, then. I'm sorry, again" he muttered, and then watched as Khushi fainted into his arms, yet again.

Aman dialled Arnav's number. Just to tell him that the "detective" had a lead and everything was almost sorted out. He was still collecting his thoughts when Arnav picked up. At first ring.
"For God's sake, Aman, what's going on? Why haven't you called me in so long? Where is she? Answer, goddamit!"
Aman sighed. He was just about to speak, when... He saw Shyam the creep running out of the Motel with Khushi Gupta in his arms. Before he could do anything , Shyam dumped her in the car, and getting into the driver's seat, drove away without fastening his seatbelt. "Shi-" Aman cursed aloud, entering his own car. "I'm going to have to call you later. Don't worry" he said to Arnav, and then hung up.
